Wu Lina was very tired when she came back home. It was past noon and she wanted to sleep badly. As she lied down on the bed, she remembered Ying Yue in the mall. Then her thoughts went to Yan Xiaojun and bitterness filled her mind. To push away the negative thoughts she started playing the music her father-in-law had given her. In a few moments she drifted off to sleep.

Yang Xinyu came late in the evening at 8pm only to find her sleeping. He woke her up gently and said, "Won't my baby have dinner tonight?"

Without opening her eyes she circled his waist with her arms and said, "I want to sleep. Just lie down beside me and hug me."

Yang Xinyu chuckled and went to lie beside her and spooned her. Before she could fall asleep again, he was snoring. It was impossible for her to sleep anymore. She removed his hand and looked at him in amazement, 'since when did he start snoring?' She turned towards him to look at her handsome husband. She stared at his features for a long time wondering how her children would look like. She wanted all her kids to look like Xini, irrespective of their gender. She smiled, cupped his face lightly, kissed his nose tip and whispered, "My Xini…"

Eventually they had dinner at 9pm. To wake up Yang Xinyu, Wu Lina had to nudge him a lot.

On the dinner table Yang Xinyu remembered about her detour to her mom's place. He said, "Wu Lina, next time please don't go to your mother's place without informing me."

Wu Lina rolled her eyes, which peeved Yang Xinyu all the more. He swallowed his anger and said, "See, there are security protocols. Before you go anywhere the security first goes and checks that place. If everything is clear, you can go to that place. For example in the morning the security at the City Center Mall was already beefed before you went there."

Wu Lina seemed agitated and said, "Yang Xinyu, that is my mother. I don't need your permission to visit her."

"Wu Lina, where was your mother when you were trying to survive for all those years? Did she contact you then? If I remember it were you who went to meet her, to revive contacts with her. She never came to you," said Yang Xinyu annoyingly.

Wu Lina glared at him and said, "So what Yang Xinyu? I wanted to meet her. She had her own reasons to not meet me."

"Really, Wu Lina? She did not have one single chance to meet you all those four years?" asked Yang Xinyu pointedly.

"Yang Xinyu, as a mother she looks out for me and loves me a lot," said Wu Lina mulishly. "No matter what I will go an visit her!"

"Why don't you call her here every time you want to meet her? We can send a car to bring her here," suggested Yang Xinyu, stuffing a spoonful of sticky rice in his mouth.

"Well, she is not as free Yang Xinyu. She has to take care of her household."

"I am sorry but this arguments is not leading anywhere. I cannot allow you to go to her place," said Yang Xinyu putting a seal to his order. Then he left the dinner and went to the bedroom.

Agitated at his words, Wu Lina got up from the chair and followed him. "Yang Xinyu, you cannot do this to me. I hardly have people to meet me. Don't push me to desperation."

He didn't say anything. Coming near her, he tucked few loose hair behind her ear and said, "Wu Lina, you can call her here. I am not against that."

Her anger flared and her cheeks puffed. To Yang Xinyu she looked so adorable that his anger dissipated in a minute. He lifted her in his arms. She tried to push him away but her efforts were in vain. He grasped her tightly and pressed her against his chest. Then he dipped his neck and said, "The more you will try go away from me, more you will find me next to you. So just give up. I will never let you go."

Carefully, he placed her on the bed, while she turned her head away from him. Taking his hands to her chin, he forced her to look at him and said, "Baby, please don't resist me. I only think of your safety. I am not against you meeting your mother but to think of the fact that you had survived all those years without her makes me go mad. I feel that where was I when you needed that help the most. And then my mother tried her best to jeopardize our relationship. So currently, I am not really a fan of any of those mothers. I want to give a secure future to my kids. I want to keep you and my kids safe. Please don't be angry with me."

Wu Lina could sense his pain and she softened. She smile at him and said, "Okay…"

She tussled his hair before lying down on the bed. "Can I at least go out and have little fun with Zhou Zhili?" she asked suddenly.

Yang Xinyu laughed, "Of course yes. But you have to inform me beforehand."

"Sure, I will."

Although Vladimir was keeping a close watch on Wu Lina, Aleksander was also doing the same on his own. He hadn't informed Vladimir about his moves. He had a plan in his mind.

When Vladimir returned from Italy, he contacted Aleksander and asked him to come to his house.

In the meeting that followed, Vladimir spoke about his intentions of meeting Wu Lina. He said, "Aleksander, you have to devise a way for me to meet Wu Lina."

"But Yang Xinyu already knows that you are her father. I don't think he should have problems in her meeting with you," replied Aleksander.

"I want to meet her alone and convince her to come here to look at what all she has over here. She is an heiress of my fortune," said Vladimir.

Aleksander winced. He loathed Wu Lina every time he listened that statement from Vladimir.

"What do you want me to do? You can do everything on your own," he replied filled with jealousy.
