Bo Xilai breathed a sigh of relief. Finally, he could be with Zhou Zhili and enjoy his own wedding. Next day he briefed Zhao Hai xiang with all his tasks. By evening Zhao Hai xiang had managed to calendar all of Yang Xinyu's appointments and meetings perfectly. Yang Xinyu was amazed at his ability. He was happy that finally someone sharp was working as his secretary.

He was also aware that Zhao Hai xiang was part of his private army. Only Lu Shiming and Yang Xinyu knew that secret. For the rest of them he was just like any other candidate.

After the attack and Pān Shīshī's episode, Lu Shiming had become overcautious.

On Friday, Zhao Hai xiang received a call from Chen Jungxu. He was informed that his client Yang Chún qiàn had demanded an urgent board meeting. Seventy percent of the members had agreed to it.

Zhao Hai xiang asked, "What is the purpose?"

"The purpose will be sent to CEO via email," said Chen Jungxu and disconnected the line.

Zhao Hai xiang reported this to Yang Xinyu. Yang Xinyu knew the meaning behind the board meeting. Chen Jungxu was his mother's lawyer.

"Get all the information regarding her intentions," said Yang Xinyu.

Zhao Hai xiang nodded and left the office.

In the evening when Yang Xinyu went home, he found Wu Lina sleeping. She was sprawled on the bed in a cotton sundress. The room was very cold but she was not covered with any blanket and was rather sleeping very comfortably. Yang Xinyu realized that the air conditioner was set to 18 degrees. He went and sat near her softly and not wanting to wake her, he gently stroked her hair. Wu Lina stirred a little and then again went off to sleep. He wondered how could she sleep so comfortably in a sundress in such cold atmosphere. Increasing the temperature to a comfortable twenty-two degrees, Yang Xinyu went to take bath. However, when he stepped in the bedroom, he shivered. Wu Lina had set the temperature back to eighteen degrees.

Yang Xinyu looked at her in amusement. She was lying sprawled on bed as if she was sitting under sun on a beach, while he felt so cold as if he was somewhere in northern Europe. But he didn't have the nerve to increase it. He feared he might end up with a different type of exercise this time. So he simply covered himself with the blanket and started checking his emails on phone.

Wu Lina woke up from all the disturbance Yang Xinyu created on bed. She turned towards him, got up and crawled on his chest. She was feeling hungry again. "Xini, go get ice cream for me," she said like a spoilt child.

Yang Xinyu got up from the bed and fetched ice cream. When she finished it, she said, "Xini, I want to eat burger."

Yang Xinyu again got up and went to ask Mrs. Jiao to make burger for her. It was third trip that annoyed him. He looked at her angrily and went to get dim-sum soup for her. But by the time it was prepared Wu Lina had vomited the ingredients. She looked drained out.

Yang Xinyu's anger dissipated immediately and he felt helpless. He didn't know what to do and wished an elder person were there to look after her.

Yang Xinyu booked the appointment to show Wu Lina on Monday.

Lu Shiming called Yang Xinyu when he was watching TV with Wu Lina. Not to worry Wu Lina, Yang Xinyu went outside to take the call. Lu Shiming filled him with the reports on Pān Shīshī. "CEO Yang, she was not working alone. We have traced the source of the money that was deposited in her bank account. It came from Middle East. She had been appointed in our company as a secretary, as her recommendations were too good. But most of those were fake recommendations. Although we have black listed her from the circle, we were expecting her to stay at home and look for another kind of job. But she is missing. We cannot trace her anywhere. We fear that she has been killed or kidnapped. Do you want us to look for her?"

Yang Xinyu listened to him very carefully and wondered who would plant her to expedite such a dirty trick. He said, "No, we don't need to waste our resources on her. The matter is solved and it is closed from our side. But find out about the person who had sent her the money."

Yang Xinyu went inside the bedroom to watch TV with Wu Lina. Wu Lina was eating nuts. She said, "Yang Xinyu, I forgot to tell you something very important!"

"What is it darling?"

"Zhou Zhili and Bo Xilai are getting married on Sunday!"

Yang Xinyu arched his eyebrow again and said, "Good."

"We had gone through a lot of ups and downs Xini," replied Wu Lina with a sad expression. "If it hadn't been for the contract we would have been married last year," she continued.

Yang Xinyu felt as if someone had stabbed his heart. The contract his mother had made was too harsh. He shuddered when he remembered the phase they had gone through because of it. Those were the worst times of his life. Going near Wu Lina, he enveloped her in a tight embrace and kissed her head. "I know… please don't remind me of that… it makes me very sad…"

Wu Lina buried her face in his chest. He stroked her soft and silky hair. Wu Lina was his to cherish for the life…

"Do you want to go for a picnic tomorrow?" he asked her pushing away all the negative feelings of the past.

"Yes! Where?" said Wu Lina, thrilled at the thought.

"It's a secret," said Yang Xinyu with a wink.
