On the Sunday morning, Wu Lina woke up only to realize that she was pinned down with something heavy. She saw a heavy hand across her breasts and a leg over her thighs. She turned to look at Yang Xinyu who was slightly snoring. She chuckled, which disturbed Yang Xinyu. He opened his dreamy eyes for a second to see her and drifted off to his dreamland. Wu Lina had to try very hard to remove him from her to get up.

She took a shower and dressed in casual clothes to go to her mother's place. When she came into the bedroom, she saw that Yang Xinyu was still sleeping. She went to sit near him and whispered in his ears, "I am going, Yang Xinyu. See you in the evening."

Just as she bent down to kiss him on his forehead, he circled his arms around her and pulled her towards him. He said, "Don't go. What will I do without you? Ask your mother to come here. We will all go together. Please."

"Be a good boy and let me go," said Wu Lina, giving a passionate kiss. She got up from bed and blew a kiss at him. He immediately caught that. He was now wide-awake. It was going to be a long day. He decided on reaching the venue early, and interact with his family members. He left the house at 11am.

When he arrived, he saw that the Chairman was already there. His eyes scanned the area to look for his mother. The Chairman understood and said, "She still disapproves. Let her be and concentrate on your day."

Yang Xinyu shook his head and went inside the old family house only to be greeted by his family members. He had so many cousins that he was overwhelmed by their presence. They joked about each other and the day passed with fun and frolic.

As the evening approached, everybody went back to their villas to get ready. Yang Xinyu went to his room. By the time he came out, the guests had started pouring in. When he came down and stood beneath the chandelier, he gave a god-like commanding aura. He was wearing a black tuxedo and his hair was neatly swept back. His fair skin was shining under the lights of the chandelier. He looked surreal.

He checked his watch. It was 7pm and Wu Lina should be arriving any time now.

All of sudden the main entrance door opened and the guests saw a beautiful lady walking inside in a green dress that was touching the floor. She was glittering. She was wearing a two-stringed diamond necklace with long diamond earrings that dropped till her neck. The diamond bracelet in her hand was extended up to her fingers. The diamonds caused a reflection on her skin giving a beautiful and shiny effect on her skin. Her hair were tied in a bun and she looked lovely.

"Oh, is that Wu Lina?" said one of the guests totally mesmerized by her.

"Wow. Yang Xinyu is so lucky. He has selected a beautiful bride," said another one.

The lady walked gracefully and reached Yang Xinyu. "Hello, Yang Xinyu, thanks for the invite," she said with a smile extending her hand to shake.

But Yang Xinyu ignored it and said, "You are welcome. Please go and have some drinks," dismissing her instantly. The Chairman who was standing right next to Yang Xinyu narrowed his eyes. When Ying Yue turned, and left he asked, "Why did you invite her?"

Yang Xinyu didn't answer and looked at his shoes. The Chairman was very unhappy and signaled one of his security men to keep a check on her.

Yang Xinyu again looked at his watch and it was 7:30pm. 'Where is Wu Lina?' He waited for another thirty minutes and called Wu Lina. But no one picked the phone.

"If she is not the bride, then who is?"

"When will she come?"

"She is already acting so pricey! Making us guests wait for so long. She doesn't have manners." The gossips were making rounds.

Ying Yue walked towards the bar with confidence and got a wine. While she was sipping some of the boys and other young crowd had surrounded her. They were giving her smiles and she returned them. The conversation started and she thought it was the right time to spread that Wu Lina wouldn't come. After all she had threatened her and Wu Lina wouldn't have the courage to show up. If she would, then her secret would be out in front of this huge and illustrious gathering. She smiled and said, "I think Wu Lina will not show up for the engagement."

"What?" the guests were shocked.

"Well, it is so late already. She would have come by now if she had to," she replied nonchalantly with a shrug.

The rumor caught fire amongst the family members. All the children and mistresses of the Chairman were standing away from other family members so as not to get embroiled in the mess. But the real cousins and elders started creating a ruckus. Few threatened to leave while few started snickering.

Ying Yue's trick worked. While sipping her wine, she walked towards Yang Xinyu and spoke loudly enough for almost all present in the party to hear, "I heard that Wu Lina would not come for the engagement."

Yang Xinyu shot a glance at her and said, "It's none of your business."

But she continued, "Yang Xinyu, I feel bad for you. But please don't worry if she doesn't come. I am here for you. I know we haven't had a good start but I will support you from now on, and forever." She comforted Yang Xinyu.

But Yang Xinyu stood there giving an aura as cold as ice. He shot a glance at her and she shrunk in fear. She stumbled two steps away from him.

The guests again started speaking, "Yang Xinyu is so cold towards this young lady even though she is nicely offering her support to him."

"She was his ex."

"Oh really? How could Yang Xinyu dump her for a manner less girl like Wu Lina?"

"Wu Lina hasn't even showed up. Geez, she is such a douchebag!"

Ying Yue, who heard all those gossips, was smiling inside. She wanted everyone to speak badly about Wu Lina. 'See, Wu Lina, this is what I am capable of.'
