Wu Lina hugged her mother tightly. She said, "Mother, please use this cash on yourself. I know you have saved so much but I would be much happier if you use it."

Wenqian became angry and reprimanded her, "Wu Lina, how can you disrespect your elders? Is this what I have taught you? Have you forgotten manners in these four years when you were all by yourself?"

"Sorry mother, I will take it," said Wu Lina, a tear had fallen out of her eyes. Wu Lina kept the red packet in her purse.

"Mother, I have a small request," said Wu Lina hesitatingly, unsure whether her mother would take it kindly or not.

"Tell me, dear."

"Mother, please don't tell my in-laws about papa. I am afraid that I won't be accepted if they come to know that I am a bastard child." Wu Lina sounded selfish as her confidence wavered. Was she too much in love with Yang Xinyu?

Wenqian understood her daughter's trepidations, "Of course, my dear. Let him make you his official daughter, Lina Yankova." Wenqian smiled at that name. It was her rightful name. She was happy that soon, Lina would be known by her right name, a name she always deserved.

But Wu Lina was thinking something else. What would happen when her in-law family would come to know about her real identity? She cringed.

Wenqian went to the kitchen to prepare Wu Lina's favorite dishes. Wu Lina had completely forgotten about the fact that Yang Xinyu was sitting in the car outside. She merrily followed her mother inside.

In the car, Yang Xinyu's anxiety was slowly turning into anger. He had waited for more than half an hour and Wu Lina hadn't even called him once. When he saw that the black cars in front of him had zipped away, he felt relieved. He waited for another half an hour and now he was mad! He had been sitting in the car for an hour. Wu Lina had asked him not to come home with her. His legs were cramped in that tiny space. Unable to withstand the torture of the cramped space and Wu Lina's indifference, he opened the car and stood outside. The sun had risen up and it was beginning to get warmer. Her indifference to his existence made him sad.

The driver of the car was laughing inside, thinking that the CEO of the Yang is nothing but a dog in front of his wife. A dog, that was patiently waiting for his master to return. A poodle who was now sad because his master had forgotten him. He let out a small chortle. Yang Xinyu threw a deadly glance at him, making him shut up immediately.

Yang Xinyu sent a message to Wu Lina:

[Wu Lina, how long will it take? Is everything okay? Do you want me to come over, baby?]

There was no reply for ten minutes. He texted again:

[Baby, I am worried. Please call me.]

There was no reply again. Yang Xinyu lost his patience and called her. Unfortunately, she didn't pick the phone.

'That's it!' He seared with anger and started walking towards her home.

The driver said, "CEO Yang, why are you walking? I will take the car there."

The CEO shot a cold glance at him again and continued to walk.

Yang Xinyu opened the gate and walked inside the tiny house and knocked softly on the main door. He looked at the small garden and smiled.

He heard footsteps hurrying and heard someone turning the knob. When the door opened Yang Xinyu saw a kind face of a woman. She looked up at him with questioning eyes. Before she could ask a question, Yang Xinyu saw Wu Lina peeping from behind. Her face broke into a beatific smile when she saw him.

While she was peeping from behind, her mother asked him, "Yes? Who are you looking for?" She was obviously impressed by his looks because she stared at him non-stop.

Wu Lina mirrored her question with a naughty grin, "Yes? Who are you looking for?"

"Good morning ma'am!" It was the first time Yang Xinyu was meeting his mother-in-law and he was nervous. This was an official introduction and Wu Lina wasn't helping. What kind of wife was she?

"Good morning," said Wenqian with knitted brows, getting suspicious about him.

"I am looking for my wife," blurted Yang Xinyu stupidly.

"Then go home, young man. She is not here," said Wenqian, almost shutting the door on his face shaking her head in indignation. Wu Lina was thoroughly enjoying the scene. Her grin was now about to split her face into half.

"Yes, go to your home young man!" said Wu Lina mirroring her mother again.

Yang Xinyu was exasperated!

"I am looking for Wu Lina," came a loud exclaim before the door closed.

Wenqian opened the door fast when she heard him. She was shocked! Wu Lina was laughing away to glory with her hands on her stomach. When Wenqian opened the door back, she stumbled back and stepped on Wu Lina, making her fall on the floor. Wu Lina fell down with a thud on her buttocks. Yang Xinyu rushed over to her and in a second she was lifted up in his arms. He took her to the nearest seating place, which was a beanbag.

"Wu Lina, are you okay?" He asked concern etched on his face.

Wu Lina was still laughing and Wenqian was standing with funniest expression her face could make.

Yang Xinyu sat down in front of Wu Lina and said, "Do we need to go to the hospital?"

Wu Lina's laughter fit wouldn't stop. She shook her head and looked at her mother. Sobering up a little, she said, "Mother, this is Yang Xinyu."

Wenqian, who had already done her math about the two lovebirds, was now smiling. She looked at Yang Xinyu and said, "Wu Lina, your fiancé is very good looking," which made Yang Xinyu blush like an adolescent girl.

"Mother! I am also beautiful!" said Wu Lina with a pang of jealousy. He had just met her and mother is already taking his side!

Wenqian laughed and said, "You deserved better!"

Yang Xinyu exhaled angrily, causing a few strands of hair to be blown away from his face.
