After their little make-out session was done, they went inside and took a hot shower. Both of them were spent and wanted to sleep badly. Finishing their dinner early, they slept in each other's arms, deeply sleeping unlike all the other days they had slept.

Neither of them mentioned his mother for the next two days. They were waiting for the meeting with her. The meeting took place at the office. Hua Jiefeng had informed Chairman Yang Min-Chang about the case and the venue of the meeting. Although the Chairman was not in town, when this information was given to him, he ensured his attendance by flying back in his private aircraft.

On the day of the meeting, Wu Lina's anxieties manifested in her behavior. She fidgeted a lot, she continuously walked around the house smiling nervously when she saw Yang Xinyu and must have changed her dress five times before deciding which one would look suitable for the meeting. She finalized on wearing a pale blue colored chiffon shirt with black skirt and black sandals with heels. She had pulled her hair in a neat bun. The only makeup she applied was a pink lip-gloss.

Yang Xinyu noticed her and would often stop Wu Lina in her tracks to hug her. He would stroke her hair, pat her shoulders and assure her, "Don't worry Lina. It's nothing. I will be there with you."

Wu Lina would smile, nod her head and again start fidgeting. She had never been in this situation. She thought she was too young for a legal battle. Her complicated life became more complicated. She looked at the sky and sighed, "Do you exist for me?"

The meeting was supposed to take place in the third meeting room in the east wing of the office at 10 am. Located on the third floor, it was mostly used by the HR and the legal team because this is where they functioned. Hua Jiefeng had finalized this venue as he thought he might need his staff for the meeting.

Wu Lina and Yang Xinyu arrived in the office at 9am. Even though Yang Xinyu had asked her to come later, she insisted that she would accompany him and waited in the lounge. She wanted him to be with her. At 9:45am Yang Xinyu arrived in the lounge.

"Will you attend this meeting with me?" she asked him innocently.

"Of course! It goes without saying, baby," he replied with utmost concern.

She held his hand and together they headed to the meeting room on the third floor.

Hua Jiefeng was already there. He received them warmly and yet again his heart leapt out when he noticed how stunning she looked. After seating them in their places, he went out to call his wife.

A few minutes later Mrs. Yang came accompanied by her lawyer Chen Jungxu. She looked at Yang Xinyu and Wu Lina with scorn.

It was Chen Jungxu's turn to flip when he saw Wu Lina. It was difficult for a person as wise as him to not look at her. He would steal occasional glances at her. He thought, 'Is Mrs. Yang jealous of Wu Lina? Why would she reject a beautiful woman like her? This old goat has gone senile!'

The atmosphere in the room was chilly with none of them looking at each other. Wu Lina constantly rubbed her palm with her finger until Yang Xinyu placed his large warm hand over hers to comfort her.

With both the parties seated in front of each other, the lawyers started speaking. The documents were exchanged. They were both stuttering trying to show their best to Wu Lina completely forgetting about their purpose.

All of a sudden, the door of the meeting room flung wide open and Chairman Yang Min-Chang walked in followed by his secretary and Bo Xilai.

Everyone in the room was stunned and silence prevailed until he took a seat.

"Good morning, father," Yang Xinyu said politely.

It was the first time Wu Lina had met the Chairman. She was flustered even more and got up from her seat to greet him. The Chairman glanced at her, smiled and nodded. He was proud of his son's choice and understood his serious attempts to marry her.

Both the lawyers got up and bowed.

Yang Chún qiàn didn't bother to welcome him. Her pride had overcome her mannerisms. She just harrumphed and asked her lawyer to continue.

Chen Jungxu looked at her and said, "Ms. Wu Lina has breached the contract that was written between the parents of Yang Xinyu and the hospital employees. She is liable to penalty and hence the plaintiff. Mrs. Yang would like to go forward with the court case against Ms. Wu Lina and demand for maximum penalty for her including a jail term."

Yang Chún qiàn glanced at Wu Lina who looked like a lamb ready to be slaughtered. She smiled secretly.

The Chairman looked as if he was thinking deeply about it, with the fingers of his hands crossed and his index fingers resting on his lips.

Hua Jiefeng was so repulsed by the words that came out from Jungxu's mouth that he immediately said, "Mr. Jungxu don't you know that Ms. Wu Lina is no longer an employee of the hospital? The contract doesn't mention that an employee of any other company cannot contact Mr. Yang Xinyu. Hence, in her case this contract is null and void."

Chen Jungxu knew that he was fighting a lost case. He looked at Mrs. Yang trying to communicate through eyes. 'See, I told you so!' But she wouldn't budge. He continued, "No, we will take this to the court and push for maximum penalty."

Yang Xinyu got irritated. "Mother, are you out of your mind? Do you realize that if this goes to the court, the media will shred our family into pieces? Wu Lina will be labeled. And for what? Because I want to marry her? Let me tell you – I will marry Wu Lina no matter what! Even if you will go to the court and tarnish our reputation, my decision still won't waver. Go ahead if you are so keen. I will protect Wu Lina." He was furious.
