This is small note from the author. I had mentioned earlier that we would be delving a bit into the past, as this is an important aspect for story's development.

So we are talking about the time when Wu Lina had just signed the contract and couldn't meet Yang Xinyu due to its restrictions. We are talking about the months when she was forcibly separated from Yang Xinyu due to the contract, and before she had joined the Yang Corporation.

She had gone out with her friends to a pub and accidently met Yan Xiaojun in a drunken stupor. He gets attracted to her and finds out about her. Yan Xiaojun had deduced that she was the daughter of Vladimir Yankov.

Yan Xiaojun struggles with his feelings for Wu Lina. So he goes to the hospital she was working, in order to get closer to her and know more about her.

On the other hand, Ying Yue wanted Yan Xiaojun to be with her. However, he is simply not interested in her. He gave her a cold shoulder when she claimed to be his woman by saying, "Don't delude yourself".

Yan Xiaojun spends the afternoons with her. But don't forget that Yang Xinyu is there every possible evening watching her from far.

This arc of the story has delved into the past of the main characters in order to build their personality. Character development is a significant part of any story. Unless you know their personality you won't be able to judge their behaviors or the fact as to why they are behaving in a certain way. This novel doesn't have fluff. There is a reason as to why every person behaves in a given situation.

I am so glad that you ask for clarifications and want to remove your doubts. I am open to your criticism because I know that you are now part of the journey - journey that Wu Lina and Yang Xinyu are taking to overcome obstacles in their lives.
