On Saturday afternoon Yang Xinyu was discharged from the hospital after four weeks of treatment. His parents came to take him back home. They thanked Dr. Zhou and his team for taking wonderful care of their son. They were thrilled that their son had successfully managed his traumatic experience and emerged as a winner.

Yang Xinyu was driven back princely style in a black limousine. There were two more cars that followed his car, one of his parents and the other with security guards.

Wu Lina on the other hand felt abandoned… she felt lonely… she missed him already… she thought that this was the end… he would never even see her again… she wanted to cry… she became nervous… the day became bleak…

She finished her duty at 6pm and went to her apartment in the nurses' quarters. As she stepped out of the elevator, she saw him standing by her door. She let out a cry of excitement like a baby and ran to him, hugging him tightly. She quickly opened her apartment and pulled him inside. She closed the door and turned to pull him down to her lips. But he lifted her. In her excitement she bit his lips laughing and crying at the same time.

He wiped her tears. "Why are you crying?" He asked.

"I thought… I thought… you won't see me now…" She replied.

"Stupid girl," he chided her affectionately.

Yang Xinyu spent the night with her. He talked and she listened. He talked about his business ventures, his interests and hobbies and she kept listening to him intently. She prepared simple dinner for them. Yang Xinyu joked about her cooking skills and said that she must attend a cooking class to hone her skills. After all, the way to a man's heart is through his stomach, he reminded her. She just pouted and ignored his comment. She already had her man's heart.

He had brought office files with him. After having dinner Yang Xinyu sate on the sofa, picked the remote and switched on the TV. As usual he was watching the news channels. Wu Lina cleaned the dishes and came to sit next to him. Together they watched it silently and then Yang Xinyu picked some of his office files and started reading them. His legs were stretched out in front, his feet resting on the table. Wu Lina looked at him and saw how absorbed he was in his work. Not wanting to disturb him, she picked the remote and changed channels to find something interesting. She settled on watching an old martial arts movie.

Wu Lina was barely following the plot. There were too many fight scenes in it. She changed that to a romantic movie and became engrossed. The movie was a tearjerker – she found herself crying. Yang Xinyu noticed her and passed his hanky to her shaking his head and smiling. "Why do you have to watch it?" he asked caringly. She didn't answer, her eyes were fixed on the TV. He went back to work.

She picked the Oreo packet and to her surprise they were gone while she was sitting and watching it. Then she tapped the crumbs out of her palm and moved near Yang Xinyu to place her head on his outstretched thigh. He allowed her moving his files to another thigh. She started watching the movie again. Soon her eyes became droopy with sleep. She yawned and drifted off in dreamless sleep.

Yang Xinyu noticed her head rolling softly as she slept. He smiled and continued reading his office files. It was almost 10pm when he finished. He lifted her head from his thigh and placed it gently on the sofa. Then he arranged his office files, picked up his sleeping beauty and placed her on the bed. Before sleeping beside her, he removed his clothes.

Wu Lina woke up with a slight movement. She saw with her sleepy eyes that her clothes were being removed. She became shy but didn't stop him. She realized that he had also stripped naked. He threw her clothes down the bed in a pile next to his. He kissed her lips lightly.

He whispered in her ears, "You are my drug Wu Lina… Touching you intoxicates me… We will do whatever you want to do… I feel powerless in front of you… Your scent sends me into a trance… I want to snuggle in you as much as possible…" Yang Xinyu said these words to her in a deep voice. Wu Lina was moved to tears… she became spellbound…
