When she was one beer and two pegs of vodka down, she felt her body was going to catch fire! She removed her first set of clothing, a turtle neck sweater and tossed it at the back of her chair. She loosened a bit and started smiling more than usual. Yang Xinyu was watching her with contempt and disdain! He was mentally trying to control her. But he was no mage, so nothing worked. He soon had to take an action to handle this savage.

To add to Yang Xinyu's troubles, Zhang Wei came over to her and tried to find a place to sit near her.

Zhang Wei couldn't find a place to sit near her so he pulled a chair from a different seating arrangement and sat beside her. He initiated a conversation with her again hoping to express his feelings for her now.

"Wu Lina, are you enjoying the party?" he asked softly.

'Yes!" Wu Lina shouted nodding vigorously.

"I wanted to say something to you," said Zhang Wei, a little encouraged now.

"Sure! Weiiiiiiii! She giggled.

At that instant one of her female colleagues offered her a drink, "Sister Wu Lina, here you must have this gin cocktail. It is known as Negroni. You will love it." And Zhang Wei again scoffed!

Yang Xinyu's was furious – Zhang Wei was getting under his skin! This was his opportunity. He folded his shirt's sleeve up, stood from his chair and moved towards Zhang Wei, like a lion that was stalking his prey. He came near Wu Lina pretending to see the drink 'Negroni'.

"I'd like to try it," he demanded. As he said that he asked Zhang Wei to vacate the chair in a cold tone. "Move!"

Everybody in the party had dropped their guard by now. "Sure CEO Yang!" Said the lady offering him the drink.

Poor Zhang Wei! Before he could express his love for Wu Lina, the CEO would somehow intervene from God knows where and thwart his plans! He gritted his teeth and vacated. He started suspecting that CEO Yang too was interested in Wu Lina. But the rumor in the office indicated just the opposite. Reluctantly, he vacated his chair.

Just when he was going to find a place to sit the girl who had accosted the CEO with Chardannoy came to him. "Hey Zhang Wei! Do you want to try this wine?"

Zhang Wei needed all the wine in world. He nodded, took the glass from her and continued his pursuit of a chair in his own birthday party! She followed him. Moments later they were both talking with each other intently. Someone witnessed Zhang Wei's hand slipping under her dress!

Yang Xinyu sat next to Wu Lina. He was itching to pull her on his lap and kiss her senseless. He wanted to feel her familiar body, he wanted to smell her, he wanted to enter her… she was her home…

Wu Lina had had lot to drink and was soon inebriated. She stood up and started shaking her hips vigorously, shouting on top of her voice to sing a song,

Let us remain in love without giving a name to it…

Yang Xinyu looked at her face that was red by now, and warmly thought that she still remembered this song. The emotions that originated seeing her drunken stupor made him care for her even more. There was a tone of melancholy and loneliness in her song.

She looked ridiculous shaking her head from left to right and twisting her hips rigorously! Her hair had begun to fall out of her messy bun. Yang Xinyu had crossed his arms on his chest and watched stupidity her with a smile.

She pulled a female colleague and started dancing and twirling with her. Yang Xinyu reached her and took her hands from that lady and twirled her. His anger was slowly dissipating from his heart. He held her hand gently pulling her down to sit on the chair.

Dinner was served by then. By the time everybody finished their dinner it was past twelve. Zhang Wei and that girl was nowhere to be seen. Wu Lina was still sitting next to Yang Xinyu. She was befuddled by the fact that whenever she got away from his side, she found him right beside her. Finally her drunken mind came to the conclusion that Yang Xinyu has been glued to her and that they could not separate no matter what.

So when one of her female colleagues started pulling her for karaoke, she refused to get up saying that she is forever stuck with Yang Xinyu. Someone has glued them together! Then she looked at Yang Xinyu helplessly. She brought her hand to touch the tip of his nose and said, "Don't worry Brother Xinyu, we will bear this heartache and pain together." She started giggling. Her female colleague left them rolling her eyes.

Yang Xinyu's eyes moistened. He could sense the misery she was suffering but he couldn't understand why she was miserable…

She got up from her place holding Yang Xinyu's shirt, "You must walk with me now. We are glued and you are committed to me."

Before she could say any further her stomach felt queasy and she started making noises. She pulled Yang Xinyu grabbing his collar along with her to the corner towards the reinforced glass railing and retched and retched until she didn't have the energy to stand.

She vomited on her dress too making it messier. Yang Xinyu didn't have any other option but to stand there and pat her back. He comforted her, feeling wretched at the same time. He had tried to drink most of the alcohol that was passed to her knowing her limits very well, but she defied him and drank to her heart's content.

Wu Lina's discomfort grew by the second. She had a burning sensation in her heart. She patted herself on the chest to calm the burning sensation. She took several steps forward and then passed out.
