A vehicle honking at the back brought him to the present. He looked at his watch. It was past six in the morning. He started his black Porsche Cayman and sped it to the office. He didn't want to be seen by her in front of her home!
Early in the morning only the guards were there in the office building. When they saw their young master in pajamas walking towards the entrance, they were surprised, but managed to maintain their grave expressions!
"Good morning CEO Yang," one of them greeted. Without paying much attention, Yang Xinyu threw his keys towards him to park the car in the office parking area and walked to the elevator.
'She will come to the office today…' with that hope in mind he pressed the elevator button for his lounge.
The hope kindled his excitement. At sharp nine he went to his office dressed in a white shirt, red tie, navy blue pants and black leather Jimmy Choo shoes. He looked devilishly handsome.
Zhou Zhili trotted to her boss's office and was yet again mesmerized by his stunning looks. She forgot to give him his schedule and stood as if she was struck by lightening! Charming and smart, feather-like hair brushed away from his forehead, he was sitting there in all his grandeur.
"Good morning Zhou Zhili". The air in the office froze for an instant and she came to her senses.
"Good…Good… morning CEO Yang! Sorry… here's today schedule! She stuttered. She stayed in the room without speaking for another two minutes. She had to inform him about Wu Lina.
"You can leave," he was telling her directly! Lifting his chiseled jaw proudly he sounded like a rich boy, distanced and arrogant.
"CEO, I wanted to say one more thing… Wu Lina won't be joining the office today also. She has very bad fever," she said cowering a little.

"What?!" He threw the tablet on the carpeted floor of the office. "Have I opened a missionary? Do I pay employees so that they don't have to work?" he lashed.
"Sorry CEO Yang…" saying that Zhou Zhili ran out of the room as soon as possible. Who will face this demon in such mood?
Yang Xinyu's mood sunk. His excitement, hope, and warmth – every emotion was taken over by fury and helplessness. He closed his wrists to the point where his nails started digging his palm. Angered he pounded his fist on the table strongly. The loud thud made all the employees outside jump in fear. They knew it had to do with Wu Lina's absence.
They were all silently cursing Wu Lina. Either it was she who was usually his target of anger or it was they! Better her than them! They knew that it is going to be a rough day for all of them today.
And so be it! The entire day at the Yang Corporation was ruined due to Wu Lina's absence. Half of them were labeled as being incompetent while the other half were labeled as overage personal withdrawing high salaries for miniscule work!
Everyone was exiting the office as soon as the clock struck six.
Two days passed similarly. Wu Lina didn't show on the third day as well.

Wu Lina felt better on the third day but decided to stay back at home to recuperate since she was feeling weak. She couldn't watch television as it was still giving her a headache. How could she work on computers at her office?
She slept most of the day. In the evening she prepared a cup of ginger tea with honey for herself and went to the bedside window to look at the traffic beneath. She sat there until the sun went down. She got up to prepare light dinner consisting of porridge only. She had it while looking at her phone for emails related to office work. Almost all of them demanded her attention and she knew she couldn't delay going to the office any further. She decided to join it next day.
