Chapter 852: Treasure
Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio
“I’m disappointed, so disappointed,” Jia Zizai said with extreme disappointment.
“Tell me, what did you learn in school? What were you doing in class? Were you just reading novels and playing with your mobile phone, or were you thinking about life?”
“Are you worthy of the efforts made by your parents, teachers, or Motherland?”
The young men’s minds went blank while listening to his words.
“What? Why is this involved with the Motherland. What is the matter with the Motherland? That is too far off.”
Is this man suffering from a neurosis? He must be suffering from a neurosis.
Even though they thought so, they did not dare to say it out loud. Even if the man was a psychopath, he was a highly capable one who they could not deal with, much less fight.
“Damn it!”
“Tell me, what is your job now?”
“Security.”
“Send express.”
“Delivery.”
Uh…
“Is it a Saturday? Is it a weekend? Don’t you need to work? Do you plan to count on your parents for the rest of your life or rely on the country to support your life?” Jia Zizai lit a cigarette. He seemed angry.
“Look at you! Your feet are shaking, and the tears in your hearts are flowing. You have nothing. Honestly, you are all a waste!”
Hu Mei glanced at Jia Zi.
“You are so young, yet you don’t want to study or work hard. Tell me, what else can you do apart from teasing women and collecting protection fees? Do you want to go to jail and be prisoners?
“Brother, we will not do it anymore. Could you please just let us go? We will work hard, I promise you.”
“Yes, I swear.”
“I swear too.”
“Your swears are useless,” Jia Zizai said.
“OK, I hope you remember what happened today, and I hope you remember what I am saying to you. One day, you will realize that what I did today was for your future well-being,” Jia Zizai carefully said.

“It’s for us? You must be suffering from neurosis!”
“Get out!”
After hearing his words, the young men immediately stood up and left. They swiftly moved away, acting like scared rabbits. They feared that the guy behind them would suddenly regret letting them go and give them another lesson. Who could bear it? No one could.
“Are you happy now?” Hu Mei asked.
“I’m happy,” Jia Zizai said with a smile, feeling extra comfortable.
Hu Mei suddenly reached out her hand and squeezed his ears. She twisted them in a circle.
“Ow! Ow! That hurts! My darling, do not do it so roughly!”
“Do you think it is fun to bully young people whose minds are not fully developed?”
“No, it was to make them realize that they are not capable and have a long way to go forward!”
“Don’t make a fool of me. Go and find Mr. Wang now, OK?”
“Well, yes. Where is he?”
On the hill outside the village, Wang Yao had dug a large pit with a diameter of about five feet and a depth over six feet.
“Will you call him?” Jia Zizai asked.
“No, there is no need to call him. He might be busy with something,” Zhong Liuchuan said.
They walked around the village but did not find Wang Yao.
“Where is he? Would he dump us and leave on his own?”
“What? That is impossible!”
“I’ll go out and take a look to see if I can find him.” Zhong Liuchuan looked around outside. His gaze went up. He saw smoke coming out of the mountain outside the villa.
“I’ll go with you,” Jia Zi hurriedly said. They left the courtyard and went to the mountain. They followed the smoke they had seen and found Wang Yao, who was still digging.
“Sir, what are you doing?” Zhong Liuchuan asked.
“Digging a pit,” Wang Yao said with a laugh.
Jia Zizai saw that there were no tools nearby and asked, “Sir, did you just dug that by hand?”

“That is correct,” Wang Yao replied.
“You must have an iron hand!” Jia Zizai was stunned that Wang Yao actually had dug with his hands. He carefully looked around and found that Wang Yao’s body was very clean. There was not a trace of soil on it. With such a digging method, how could he be so clean?
“What are you looking for?” he asked.
“I’m looking for some treasure,” Wang Yao said with a smile.
“Treasure? I heard there is an ancient tomb around here. Is that what you mean?” Jia Zizai’s eyes suddenly brightened, but it was not because of wealth. He was purely amazed.
“Well, the treasure is probably about to be dug out,” Wang Yao said.
The middle of the pit was very hot. It was estimated to be 122 degrees Fahrenheit inside. Wang Yao continued to dig. Jia Zizai and Zhong Liuchuan quietly watched him.
Suddenly, a howling sound rang out.
A hot spring shot out.
“Huh?” Wang Yao was stunned. “Did I make a mistake? This is not the one I am looking for.”
“It should be here. Why is it that?”
He smelled the spring water.
“Hmm, this unique fishy smell is very strong.”
The simmering water kept bursting out. Wang Yao stood in the water and quietly looked at it.
“No!”
He suddenly realized something.
“These bugs should be afraid of water.”
He quickly jumped out of the pit.
“Sir, what exactly are you looking for?” Jia Zizai asked. “If you tell us, we can get tools and help you find it.”
“I agree with him,” Zhong Liuchuan said.
“I’m looking for bugs,” Wang Yao replied.
“Bugs? What kind of bugs are you looking for?” Both of them were stunned by his answer.
“They are very interesting bugs.” Wang Yao laughed and said, “Forget it. I guess I can’t find them today.” He stared at the pit.
“Find them?”
“No, let me think about it again,” Wang Yao said.
A piece of dirt suddenly fell from the wall of the pit, exposing a small hole. There was something faintly visible inside the hole.
“Here is it!” Wang Yao laughed.
He scratched in the air. The small hole expanded several times in an instant. The contents inside could be seen. It was bugs, a nest of black bugs. They were dense and could make people sick.
“What is going on?” Jia Zizai asked in shock.
“What just happened?”
“Sir, are the bugs the treasure you spoke of?
“Yes, they are,” Wang Yao replied.
He scratched in the void. Several bugs were caught in the air.
These bugs were a bit like head worms, but the arthropods were sharper and looked more aggressive. They kept biting Wang Yao’s hands but were blocked by an invisible barrier.
“Interesting.” Wang Yao took out a glass bottle and put the bugs in it.
“I have found the treasure,” he said. “We can go.”
“Wait a minute.”
Wang Yao looked at the excavated pit. He pushed it with both hands. The soil around him was pushed into the pit by invisible forces and filled the pit.
“Sir, you are so capable!” Jia Zizai sighed.
He admired Wang Yao from the heart. Without any tools, he was able to dig such a large pit on the mountain. Plus, there was no dust on his body. Next, he made a simple pushing posture and all the soil went back into the pit. It was all a bit mysterious.
“Sir, have many people died because of these bugs?”
“Well, it’s hard to say,” Wang Yao said. “I have come into contact with patients that had illnesses caused by these bugs.”
What was the toxicity of these bugs? It had to be verified by experiments.
“That’s right, were you guys practicing?” Wang Yao asked.
“Yes, it is going well,” Jia Zizai said.
They returned to the villa and drove back together to the village. As usual, Wang Yao invited them to have dinner with him.
After returning home, Jia Zizai said, “Mr. Wang went to catch bugs.”
“Bugs? What bugs?” Hu Mei asked in confusion.

Jingyi Bo is in Fates Parallel (An Irreverent Fanfiction)
Fates Parallel is a gripping cultivation story, following the adventures of a half-spirit girl with nothing as she grows both as a cultivator and as a person after arriving at the Grand Academy of Spiritual, Martial and Arcane Arts. It features fleshed-out, believable characters, wonderful world-building that informs the course of the plot, and girls who hold hands. Fates Parallel is a very good story, and you should read it! Jingyi Bo is in Fates Parallel is a somewhat tongue-in-cheek look at this same world from a different angle, following a totally regular girl who brings bad luck with her wherever she goes. It features shallow, joke-name characters, a focus on the least interesting parts of a fantastic world, and girls who hold hands (potentially). Jingyi Bo is in Fates Parallel is an amazingly hilarious (so says me) fanfiction and you should read it! (This is a Totally Author Approved Spin-Off (Fanfiction) for Fates Parallel, which you can find in a number of places including here on RoyalRoad! Please do read it!)
