Chapter 779: Don’t Worry, I’m Here.
Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio
Everyone in the room wondered who Wang Yao was. They had too many questions in their heads.
“Good, he is stable now.” Wang Yao stayed for an hour next to the soldier until he was stable.
He took a big sigh of relief. It had been such a critical moment just now. If he was a few minutes later, the soldier would have been dead. Although the soldier was fading away, Wang Yao could bring him back to life with one little spark of life.
Wang Yao stood up and was about to leave the room. All the shocked medical staff subconsciously gave way to him. They were all amazed by what had happened. They wondered what technique Wang Yao had used to bring a dead person back to life.
“Both Zhixing and his fellow soldier’s conditions are stable now. I need to make two more decoctions,” Wang Yao said to Song Ruiping.
“Is there anything you need us to do?” Song Ruiping asked.
“I need a quiet place,” Wang Yao said. “The cottage I used to stay at will do.”
“OK, I’ll call Chen Ying now,” Song Ruiping said.
“I’ll go with you,” Su Xiaoxue said.
“Chu Lian, drive them to the cottage,” Song Ruiping said.
“Yes, Ma’am,” Chu Lian said.
The three of them left the hospital.
Song Ruiping breathed a big sigh of relief as she was sitting on the sofa. A moment later, Su Xianghua called her. He was on a business trip overseas. She didn’t tell him what happened to Su Zhixing because she didn’t want him to worry.
“Hello, Xianghua,” Song Ruiping said on the phone.
“I heard Zhixing was injured,” Su Xianghua said.
“Yes, but he’s fine now,” Song Ruiping said “Wang Yao just came over. Zhixing is out of danger.”
“Was in critical condition? Was it that bad?” Su Xianghua anxiously asked.
“Yes, but he is fine now,” Song Ruiping said. “Don’t worry. Just focus on your work.”
She chatted with her husband briefly before hanging up.
Meanwhile, Wang Yao had arrived at the cottage with Su Xiaoxue and Chu Lian. Both Chen Ying and Chen Zhou were there.
“Dr. Wang, I’ve arranged everything for you,” Chen Ying said. She had prepared a pot and firewood for said.
“Great, thank you,” Wang Yao said.
“You are welcome,” Chen Ying said.

After thinking for a while, Wang Yao decided to use several licorice roots to brew a detox decoction. The dominating herb for the detox decoction was, naturally, detox grass. He also added frost grass into the decoction. He identified that the toxin had strong heat poison because Su Zhixing’s and the soldier’s bodies were burned by the toxin. The frost grass could offset the heat poison. Finally, he added Guiyuan into the decoction to harmonize the herbs. The composition was simple, but the herbs were not.
The firewood was making a crackling and rattling sound. Su Xiaoxue was waiting quietly next to Wang Yao.
“How did your brother get injured?” Wang Yao asked.
He didn’t think it was appropriate to ask too many details in the hospital. Now was a good time to ask questions.
“My brother had a mission at the border,” Su Xiaoxue said. “They were involved in a fight with a foreign army and he got injured.”
“With a foreign army?” Wang Yao asked.
“Yeah,” Su Xiaoxue replied.
“It seems the army your brother serves has a big responsibility,” Wang Yao said.
Due to the nature of the licorice roots, he didn’t brew the decoction for long. Soon, the decoction was ready.
“Done.” Wang Yao put out of the fire. “Just wait for it to cool down.”
The weather was very pleasant. The wind was nice and cool at night.
“You must be tired after such a long trip,” Su Xiaoxue said as she was massaging Wang Yao’s shoulders.
“Not too tired,” Wang Yao said with a smile as he patted her hands.
The trip was nothing to him.
“I feel you’ve made progress with your practice recently,” Su Xiaoxue said.
“Really? Based on what?” Wang Yao asked.
“It’s hard to describe it. I can just feel the Qi in you is getting stronger,” Su Xiaoxue said. She could just sense it.
“I think I did make some progress,” Wang Yao said.
He had made progress in a thunderstorm some time ago. He had a close encounter with the world on the surface of the sea and released his energy freely. Afterward, he reached a new level. However, he didn’t expect Su Xiaoxue to sense it.
“I think you have made progress too,” Wang Yao said.
“Yeah, I didn’t stop practicing even when I was in the university,” Su Xiaoxue said. “I did the breathing exercise every morning and evening. I’ve also been practicing the Chinese boxing you taught me.”

“Good. You’ll keep making progress if you don’t stop practicing,” Wang Yao said. “Well, the decoction is ready. We should go back to the hospital. I think your brother probably has woken up.”
“Do you reckon he’s woken up?” Su Xiaoxue asked.
Meanwhile, Su Zhixing woke up from his coma in the VIP room of the hospital.
“Zhixing, can you hear me?” Song Ruiping asked as she looked at her son, who just opened his eyes.
“Yes,” Su Zhixing said.
He felt uncomfortable. It was as if his body didn’t belong to him. He felt hot one minute and cold the next. He felt awful and exhausted. His body was not listening to him. It took him great effort to even make a sound. He tried to speak, but the sound got stuck in his throat. Eventually, he could make a sound as low as mosquito singing.
“How do you feel?” Song Ruiping asked.
“I’m fine,” Su Zhixing said. He wanted to say more, but he couldn’t.
“Don’t speak, just rest,” Song Ruiping said.
She pressed the call bell. The medical staff immediately came over. The registrar doctor was surprised to see Su Zhixing awake. He examined him carefully and arranged for a blood test.
“Zhixing, hold on for a while,” Song Ruiping said. “Wang Yao went to brew a decoction for you. He’ll be back soon.”Read more chapter on our vipnovel.com
A moment later, Wang Yao and Su Xiaoxue returned to the hospital.
“Hey, you are awake!” Su Xiaoxue was thrilled to see her beloved brother awake.
“Thank you, Dr. Wang,” Su Zhixing said with great difficulty.
“You shouldn’t speak given your current condition,” Wang Yao said. “Just rest and take the decoction.”
The warm decoction was very bitter. Su Zhixing took a small bowl of it.
“You rest. I’ll go check on your colleague next door,” Wang Yao said.
“OK,” Su Zhixing said.
Wang Yao went to check the soldier next door. He fed the soldier, who was still in a coma, the decoction and waited for nearly an hour next to the window. He didn’t leave until he made sure the soldier’s condition was stable and the decoction had started to work.
Ahem! Ahem! As he went back to Su Zhixing’s room, he heard Su Zhixing coughing.
“Can he eat anything?” Song Ruiping asked.
“Yes, he should be on a liquid diet, which is easier to digest, like rice porridge,” Wang Yao said.
“I’ll make some porridge for Zhixing,” Chu Lian said.
“Dr. Wang, how long will it take for my brother to fully recover?” Su Xiaoxue asked.
“One month,” Wang Yao said.
Beep! Om! his phone rang. “Sorry, I need to take this call.”
“What? Are you not in Dao?” Jia Zizai, who was on the other side of the phone, frowned. He had to change his plan.
“No, I had to leave for an urgent matter,” Wang Yao said. “I won’t return to my village or Dao anytime soon. I’ll talk to you in a month.”
His priority was to treat Su Xiaoxue’s brother, his future brother-in-law.
“I see,” Jia Zizai said.
He lit a cigarette after hanging up.
“Dr. Wang has left?” Hu Mei asked.
“Yes, he left in a hurry,” Jia Zizai said. “He’s not in Dao or the village. I don’t know where he is.”
“What are we going to do with Li Fang?” Hu Mei asked.
“We just have to explain to him what happened,” Jia Zizai said. “You never know what is going to happen next.”
It started to get dark outside.
Su Zhixing and his fellow soldier went to sleep after taking the decoction. Sleeping was the best way to restore energy.
“You haven’t take a break today. Go back to the cottage,” Su Xiaoxue softly said.
“OK. They should be fine for now,” Wang Yao said. “Would you like to go back to rest as well, Auntie Song?”
“I’m fine. I’ll stay here,” Song Ruiping replied.
The VIP room was well-equipped. There was a sofa, extra bed, TV, and Wi-Fi connection inside.
“Xiaoxue, you can leave with Dr. Wang,” Song Ruiping said.
“OK,” Su Xiaoxue said.
Chu Lian drove Wang Yao and Su Xiaoxue back. After dropping them off, she returned to the hospital.
“Do you have any lectures to attend tomorrow?” Wang Yao asked.
“I’ll take some time off,” Su Xiaoxue said. “I’ll go back to the hospital tomorrow morning.”
“Don’t worry, I’m here. He’ll be fine,” Wang Yao gently said.
“I know.” Su Xiaoxue nodded.
“Where are you going to stay tonight?” Su Xiaoxue asked.
“In the cottage,” Wang Yao said.
He was familiar with the cottage and used to staying there when he was in Beijing.

Legends of Balarel - A Leisurely LitRPG
Glenn Redwood has longed to become an Adventurer since he was a young boy, and has focused every waking moment on that goal since turning 14. Answering the challenge of the Gods of Balarel, he has fought Monsters, Leveled, and grown stronger. Yet the day before his 16th birthday, the day he will earn his dream or lose it forever ... the Gods have made a wager. And no mere mortal wishes to draw the attention of the Gods. ***** This is my crack at writing a leisurely LitRPG. My focus is more on telling interesting stories set in a world where people live under a MMORPG-like ruleset enforced by the Gods, and less on writing another story where the MC gets massive stat boosts every chapter before heading off to wreck the world. There will be plenty of blue tables (it’s LitRPG!) but my Adventurers are just starting out. This fic is about the journey, not the destination, so expect everyone to Level ... leisurely. Updates: M-T-W-Th. I’ll post 3000-4000 words a day, or 12000-15000 words a week. If this posting pace ends up being too much for me, I reserve the right to slow posts down a bit. Inspirations: Blessed Time (Royal Road) Is It Wrong To Try To Pick Up Girls In a Dungeon? (Anime) Trails in the Sky (JRPG Series) MC: My MC is a genuinely good person who’s both a talented warrior and tactically savvy. He prefers to solve problems without violence but will resort to force if necessary to protect his friends or innocent people. I’m tired of stories starring anti-hero MCs facing endless doom and gloom, so I wanted to write a nice guy with an adventurous spirit who helps people in a thriving fantasy world. That’s all.

Raven: The Beginning
'What's the worst that could happen'? is what I thought to myself as I entered the World of the Veil with a new, experimental machine that the company created. I was originally excited to participate in their alpha test, and now, looking back, I was just a naive little girl that didn't know what it was like to truly suffer. Sarah was one of the world's best assassin players, but she wasn't prepared for getting stuck as a low-level player in a new game. Suddenly she has to struggle just to survive against the monsters of the world, while also keeping her secret from the authorities. What happens when the killing, and the consequences, are just too real? Author's Note (and a Warning): This book is about a normal person that is forced into a fantasy / medieval environment. What could possibly go wrong with our heroine? This novel is a sort of, legacy. I wanted to at least put it out there before I passed away due to a combination of financial difficulty, homelessness, job loss, and my last interview taking up the last of my savings (which I did not get the job). If by some miracle, and I get a job that can give me a pay advance by next week (4/8) and I survive this turbulent time, I will edit this - and the formating of the book). If you are so willing, please donate on my patreon page. Regards, Dave

It is the year 2199, the end of the 22nd century. Due to a biopocalypse unleashed by a certain genetic engineer, all life on the planet evolved at incredible speeds, but humans couldn't keep up so they built walled cities. The story follows a certain clone trying to find its place. The first 90ish chapters aren't those that I am proud of, but if you like the premise, stick around, it gets better in the 100s. incomprehensible thoughts
This is just the weird & random shit it my mind, for when I can remember them and when I have time to put those thoughts & feelings into words, IF I can even do that. Writing is one of the things that I couldn't live without, and it's weird because it's something that bloomed from some things that I now hate. Anygays, enjoy the show.
