Chapter 774: Fake Death
Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio
“Is it him or the company behind him?” Sun Yunsheng asked.
“According to the information we got, it has something to do with the pharmaceutical company behind him,” Hao replied.
The Sun family was the richest in Dao and had the most power among the underground forces of the city. If they wanted to inquire about something, they would soon know about it. They had not paid attention to these things before.
Sun Yunsheng was worried now was whether it would involve the Sun family and be used by others to attack them if it got exposed. It was a critical moment.
“Where are the organs coming from?” he asked
“It’s mainly from hospitals and some innocent people,” Hao said.
“Innocent?” Sun Yunsheng was shocked
“There are beggars in Dao,” Hao said. “In recent days, a person’s body has been found and dismembered, and his main organs disappeared.”
“Why were there no reports about it?” Sun Yunsheng was in shock. This kind of thing was a big deal.
“It’s been suppressed,” Hao said.
“By whom?” Sun Yunsheng asked.
“It was Vice Mayor Lin,” Hao replied. “It was on the grounds that we had just been inspected by a leader who had affirmed the work in Dao and thought an accident would cause trouble.”
Sun Yunsheng snorted after listening. “Investigate it. I want to know who’s behind it in the shortest time possible.”
“Understood,” Hao replied. “Mr. Wang must have come because of this, but how did he know about it?”
As night fell, it became dark outside. Jia Zizai and Hu Mei were eating in a Western restaurant.
“Where has Mr. Wang gone?” she asked.
“I don’t know,” Jia Zizai replied.
“Is the chairman still at the company?” she asked.
“Yes, he leaves very late every day,” Jia Zizai said. “Have you noticed something’s off with him lately?”
“Something’s off? How so?” Hu Mei asked.
“People say that a woman’s intuition is the most acute, so haven’t you realized that he walks quite strangely?” Jia Zizai asked.
“Walks strangely?” Hu Mei frowned. “I haven’t noticed that, to be honest. I might only see him once a week.”

“Pay more attention in the future,” Jia Zizai said.
“My attention is on you,” Hu Mei said with a smile. Her gaze was like silk.
“Oh, how touching,” Jia Zizai said.
“You’re annoying. Eat,” she said.
It was rare for the couple to be so tender and sweet.
It was soon after 9 p.m. The chairman of Sihai Trading Company was the last one to leave. He drove his car back to his home in Dao among countless villas. After he had parked in the garage and was about to leave, he suddenly smelled a peculiar aroma.
“It’s so fragrant.” He instantly realized something and held his breath, but it was too late. “Not good!”
He fell to the ground with a murmur.
“Isn’t he a master and a competent person? Why did he fall so easily?” Wang Yao walked out from a corner, thinking it had been too simple.
The man’s breathing was smooth, and his body was slightly tense. It was not like the symptoms of poisoning.
Wang Yao approached the man slowly. The chairman collapsed on the ground suddenly jumped up and was as agile as a leopard on its prey.
Interesting! Wang Yao felt a strong aura from the man in his 40s. Pokong Punch!
He punched out. The punch split the air.
The man who rose from the ground was hit and flew out, slamming into the wall behind him with a grunt. A large area of the wall was cracked.
Cough! Cough! Bleh! The man spat out a mouthful of blood.
Huh? Wang Yao smelled a special medicinal scent from that man. He asked, “Still taking medicine?”
Cough! Cough! The man that had collapsed on the ground was still coughing. He felt weak all over. He even found it difficult to breathe.
“Who are you?” he asked.
“Guess?” Wang Yao wittily answered. “Chairman Zhang, right?”
“That is me,” the man said.
“An old friend of yours asked me to come over and say hello to you and ask you when you’re going to pay your debt,” Wang Yao said. “High-ranking men are forgetful indeed.”
With a wave of Wang Yao’s hand, Chairman Zhang passed out. He carefully examined the man’s body. He thought the man was strange, but he wasn’t sure what was strange about him. “Huh, it’s quite weird?”

Instead of taking the chairman away, he put him in a coma using special means. Afterward, he took the chairman’s key and went into his home. With a loud bang and a violent explosion, the entire villa was turned into ruins.
All this happened barely two minutes after Wang Yao went in. Such an explosion was too shocking and obvious on such a night.
The glass windows of the houses nearby were all shattered. The neighbors were so frightened that they all came out of the houses and saw the still-burning house. “What’s happening?”
Fire trucks soon arrived. It took several hours to extinguish the fire. They found a burned body among the ruins of the villa. Preliminary judgment deemed that the body belonged to the owner of the villa. The cause of the explosion was still under investigation.
“What? The chairman’s villa exploded?”
That evening, almost everyone on the board quickly received the news.
“What about the chairman?”
“At present, there is no news. It is said that a burned corpse was found in the villa, which was initially deemed to be the owner of the villa.”
“Dead?”
“How can that be? He’s like a cat. He had several lives and was suspicious in nature like a fox. How could he die so easily?”
In a building on the coast of Dao, Hu Mei was in Jia Zizai’s arms. She whispered, “Dead?”
“No way! How could he have died so easily!” Jia Zizai looked at the short message on his cellphone and searched for information on the internet. “It’s such a coincidence.”
“Could it be…” Hu Mei’s words stopped before they were finished.
“It’s not the first time he’s faked his death,” Jia Zizai said. “I’m worried about something else.”
Hu Mei did not speak, but her lips moved to form the word, “Sir.”
“Yes, they better not blame it on us and hold another big cleaning like that last time,” Jia Zizai said as he lit a cigarette.
The day began to brighten up. Most people in Dao did not know that a great event had happened in the city the previous night.
“Exploded?” a short man asked.
“Yes, last night, a body was found,” another man said. “They suspect it is Chairman Zhang.”
“I see. You can go out now.” The short man frowned and looked out of the window. “Zhang Jun, what’s the matter with you?”
At the seaside, the sea breeze was quite strong and loud. A young man was practicing martial arts. His movements looked very relaxed. After a round of boxing, he took a walk along the shore.
Ring! A strange number called.
“Hello,” Wang Yao said.
“Are you alright, Sir?” Jia Zizai asked.
“I’m fine,” Wang Yao replied. “What’s wrong?”
“Last night, Zhang Wei’s villa exploded,” Jia Zizai said. “I’m a little worried.”
“Oh, everything’s all right,” Wang Yao said with a laugh.
When the villa exploded, he happened to be in the villa. However, he reacted quickly. He wrapped the air around himself as protection and broke through the wall. At the moment of the explosion, he rushed out of the villa and avoided the nearby cameras. It sounded easy, but the danger was more than enough for outsiders to speak of and handle. If he were any other person, his body would have turned black from the flames.
“That chairman of yours is a wily hare with three holes,” Wang Yao said.
After the explosion, he was quite sure that the man who drove back was only a substitute. Since Wang Yao hadn’t seen Zhang Wei, he only knew him through photographs. He could not distinguish the difference between the substitute and the real person, but this substitute was also quite skilled.
Wang Yao was puzzled by the fact that he could resist the cartilage fragrance. The scent on the man’s body was also that of traditional Chinese medicine. He was familiar with it.
“Yes, he’s as cunning as a fox with the nine lives of a cat,” Jia Zizai said.
“So, has something like this happened before?” Wang Yao asked.
“Yes, he also faked his death to lure out a mole and covered the company in blood,” Jia Zizai said.
“Clever plan,” Wang Yao said.
“Sir, shall we meet?” Jia Zizai asked.
“No, you’re in the open,” Wang Yao said. “He’s in the dark. Try to find out where his true body is. I’m more and more interested in this person.”
“OK, I’ll find it as soon as possible.” Jia Zizai hung up the phone and threw it into the sewer.
