Chapter 632: The Kindness of Saving a Life Might Not Be Remembered
Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio
“You don’t have to since you are so busy with your work,” Su Xiaoxue said.
“It doesn’t matter.” Guo Zhenghe smiled and waved his hand. Originally, he had wanted to rent a house in the village, but no one rented at that time.
It was good for the body to have a nap after a meal. Chen Zhou had the habit of taking a nap at noon. Su Xiaoxue also slept in afternoon for a short while.
After napping, Chen Ying went into the small courtyard and chatted softly with Chu Lian.
“Is it really a coincident the Guo Zhenghe came?” Chen Ying asked.
Such a coincidence really raised doubts.
Chu Lian’s eyes shone brightly. It might be coincident. If it was not, there was a problem. Very few people knew that she and Su Xiaoxue were in the village. Whoever was leaking the news needed to be investigated.
“Guo Zhenghe sure chases her closely,” Chen Ying said.
“Yes, he does,” Chu Lian said.
She and Chen Ying were both very loyal to the Su family. They had known each other for a long time, so they talked freely to each other about certain topics.
“I don’t think he would be a good candidate,” Chen Ying said.
“I agree. Minister Su and his wife naturally have their own plans,” Chu Lian said.
“I hope it will not bring any harm to Mr. Wang,” Chen Ying said.
“Dr. Wang would be caught up in it,” Chu Lian said. “Can’t you see it? Our princess is so enamored with him!”
Anyone who had a little awareness could see the way Su Xiaoxue looked at Wang Yao. Chu Lian saw it even more clearly.
“I am afraid that it is unrequited love,” Chen Ying said.
“I heard from that Dr. Wang has a girlfriend,” Chu Lian said.
“There is one. I have seen her in Jing. She is a rare beauty,” Chen Ying said. “But…”
“But, what?” Chu Lian asked.
“I have never seen her in the mountain village, and I have never seen Mr. Wang take any initiative,” Chen Ying said.
“Did they break up?” Chu Lian asked.
“Em… I can’t ask that,” Chen Ying said.
“If Guo knows that the lady likes Dr. Wang, do you think he might take some measure?” Chu Lian asked.

“Based on his character, he is very likely to do something, especially a conspiracy,” Chen Ying said.
As for Guo Zhenghe, Chen Ying once confirmed a matter about him. From then on, she stayed away from him. In her opinion, he was a person whose face was as gentle as the sunlight but was like a demon once he was offended. She was better off having no relationship with him.
Chen Ying couldn’t help worrying about Wang Yao. She was considering whether to talk with him to warn him.
“The two people are in different positions. If Guo Zhenghe really wanted to make difficulties for someone, it would be rather troublesome,” Chu Lian said. “However, in my view, Dr. Wang’s relationships might be quite wide. Even the Wu family in Jing owes him a favor.”
“The Guo family also owes him a favor,” Chen Ying said. “He saved Guo Zhenghe’s life and succeeded in extending the life of Mr. Guo.”
“Human friendship is fickle,” Chu Lian said. “Morality is not like what it used to be. He may not keep the kindness in his mind.”
In the afternoon, Zheng Shixiong came to the clinic.
“He wants to recover his vision?” Wang Yao asked.
“Yes. Can you please think about ways and tell us if you need us to do something?” Zheng Shixiong asked. “We will try our best.”
“I need to think about it,” Wang Yao said. “I’ll let you know.”
“OK, I’ll be waiting for your reply,” Zheng Shixiong said. Since he wasn’t refused completely, he felt that it might indicate there was a possibility.
After he left, Wang Yao thought about the request and came up with a method that was very simple but probably very effective. It was the ointment for continuing life. He had only used the medicine when he treated Wen Wan because her condition was really special. He could not think of a better method.
The fantastic medicine did not disappoint him. Since it could heal a kidney that had lost its functions, it might be able to heal the eyes. Plus, the medicine could both be taken orally and applied externally.
Thinking of this, Wang Yao took out the box of ointment for continuing life from the system grid. A quarter of it had been used treating Wen Wan.
The medicine was very expensive. It cost a lot of money to decoct one dose, so he did not readily use it.

He dug a little out with a wooden spoon and diluted it with ancient spring water. It became a dark green liquid that gave off a unique aroma. He thought it might be the best eye drops in the world.
Near dusk, Wang Yao closed the clinic and went to the Sun home.
“Dr. Wang, you are here,” Mr. Wu said.
“You don’t have to be so polite. How is he?” Wang Yao pointed to the room.
“For the time being, he is not bad. But, he’s always staring at the ceiling,” Mr. Wu said.
Although the young man was staring, he couldn’t see it.
“Go in and take a look,” Mr. Wu said.
Wang Yao gently opened the door and saw the young man looking at the hanging light on the ceiling.
Zheng Weijun could not see anything clearly. He could only make out blurred lightness and darkness. The ceiling lamp was the brightest spot in the room, so he looked there and stared.
“Wei Jun, Dr. Wang is here,” Mr. Wu said.
“Hello, Dr. Wang,” Zheng Weijun said.
“Hello. Do you have any physical symptoms, such as being cold, pain, numbness, or itching?” Wang Yao asked.
“My stomach hurts, but it’s not very sharp. I still have no strength in my body,” Zheng Weijun said.
“Here is the medicine I just prepared for your eyes,” Wang Yao said. “Use three drops.”
“OK, thank you,” Zheng Weijun said.
Mr. Wu took the medicine. He pulled out the dropper and carefully dropped the medicine into the patient’s eyes. Since he was the doctor who took care of Zheng Weijun’s health, these appliances were prepared well.
“How do you feel it?” Mr. Wu asked.
“I have a cool feeling,” Zheng Weijun said.
Dropping the liquid into eyes itself was an external stimulus, so he could not help blinking at the beginning. After a while, he felt comfortable. The liquid entered his eyes and began to repair the originally ruined body tissue.
“They are a little itchy,” Zheng Weijun said.
“Sleep for a while. When you wake up, you will feel better.” Wang Yao looked at his eyes carefully. Because of the liquid medicine, his eyes actually had some brilliance. “It is good.”
Wang Yao got up and left the room.
“Dr. Wang, would you stay for a meal?” Mr. Wu asked.
“No need for that,” Wang Yao said.
“And, what about the drug fee?” Mr. Wu asked.
In the past few days, every time Wang Yao brought medicine, they paid the fee upfront. Although the price of the regather soup was indeed amazing, compared with their wealthy family and great career, the cost was completely affordable.
“It’s $10,000,” Wang Yao said.
Without hesitation, they paid for it at once.
“Have him close his eyes and rest,” Wang Yao said.
After leaving, Wang Yao returned home. Once he entered the house, his mother said, “A young man, surname Guo I think, came by today and brought some gifts.”
“Guo, Guo Zhenghe,” Wang Yao said.
He did not like having too close of contact with Guo Zhenghe. Under his bright appearance there was too much scheming. The most basic thing about Wang Yao’s treatment was the four ways of diagnosis method, which included watching. He could tell whether a person was both mentally and physically healthy. Plus, Chen Ying had told him that Guo Zhenghe was great at scheming.
“Don’t accept them if he sends gifts again,” Wang Yao said.
“I don’t want to take them, but he insisted,” his mother said. “Have you ever treated him before?”
“Yes, but I was paid the medical fee. Forget it for now since you have already received them,” Wang Yao said.
After dinner, he chatted with his parents at home. He suddenly heard a knock on the door.
“Please come in,” Wang Yao said.
Chen Ying entered the home. “Mr. Wang.”
“Is there something going wrong?” Wang Yao asked.
“No, there is something I want to tell you alone,” Chen Ying said.
“Well, come into my room,” Wang Yao said. He led her to his room and made a pot of tea. “What is it?”
“Well, Guo Zhenghe likes Su Xiaoxue, which I suppose you may already know,” Chen Ying said.
“I knew it when I was in Jing,” Wang Yao said.
“Well, she likes you. Did you know?” Chen Ying asked.
Wang Yao was silent for a while. “I know, I can feel it.”
“What do you think of it? I remembered that you have a girlfriend, don’t you?” Chen Ying asked.
“We haven’t been in contact for a long time,” Wang Yao said.
“Please forgive me for prying, but do you like Su Xiaoxue?” After asking, Chen Ying stared at Wang Yao.

Tampering with such books would not only mark the being, but cause the Librarians who take care of such items to fly into a rage and slay the perpetrator. However, with the Ageless being the fifth strongest being within the Universe, she doubts if she could find a Librarian strong enough to slay her husband for the crimes he has committed. How did she come to suspect him? Her own story contains many pages which were re-written, and the one who has access to it is both herself and her husband. Therefore, she searches for answers, and has been given the story titled The Devil King in order to find that which she desires. Even if the cost is to read the whole book before she could act fully. Winter Fire [ Book 1 ] ✔
On the second jump, Claire's bad leg gave way and she felt herself tumbling forward. A cry of surprise escaped her and Claire was certain she was about to topple off the side of the train. Alek, however, moved quickly, catching her mid-fall and keeping her upright, and alive. Claire lifted her eyes to meet his which were wide with alarm. The expression was fleeting, lasting for only a moment before it was replaced by a frown. "You could have fallen," he said pointedly."I know," Claire breathed, finding her thoughts drifting to the strong arm wrapped around her waist. A flush rose to her cheeks and she was grateful for the biting wind that masked her reaction. "Thank you.""You need to be more careful," he continued, his eyes locked on hers, bright and haunting in the silver glow of the moon overhead."I will," Claire assured him, her heart skipping in her chest.
