Chapter 327: Have Diarrhea for Another Two Days
Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio
“Hey, what’s wrong?” Wang Fengming’s cousin rubbed his stomach.
“What’s wrong?” Wang Fengming hurriedly asked upon seeing the situation.
“I have a stomach ache suddenly.”
His stomach was growling. He also had a dull pain in it..
“Could it be that the efficacy of the medicine is kicking in?” Wang Fengming stared at the medicine that had been finished in the bowl.
“What medicine did he give me?”
“I really don’t know.”
Huh?
Puff. The muffled sound was a fart with a strong, stinky smell.
Puff, puff, puff. He continuously let out a farting sound. After a while, the whole room was filled with an unbearable stench.
“Hey, what’s going on?” Although Wang Fengming did not say it, he could not bear the stench.
“This won’t do. I need to go to the bathroom!” His cousin rushed into the washroom with his hands on his buttocks.
Swoosh.
He came out of the bathroom after quite some time.
“Phew. I feel a lot better.”
He had only sat down for a while when his stomach started growling again.
“This won’t do. I need to go to the bathroom again.” He got up and rushed to the bathroom.
“What should we do if he keeps having diarrhea?”
“Fengming, what medicine did Dr. Wang give me?” He could not help but suspect that the doctor had given him the wrong medicine since he did not require a payment. Or, maybe the doctor had used him as a guinea pig.
“Wait here for a moment. I’ll ask.” After that, he went to Wang Yao’s medical center.
To be honest, he did not believe that Wang Yao prescribed the wrong medicine. He reckoned that his cousin must have eaten something before he came and it had reacted with the medicine given by Wang Yao. He still believed in Wang Yao’s pharmaceutical technology.
In the medical center, Wang Yao was still studying the Sang Yao Medical Book given to him by Sang Guzi.
He heard the sound of the door being opened and Wang Fengming’s voice.
“Uncle Fengming, you’re here.”
“Hey, the…” Wang Fengming hesitated for a moment. He was thinking about how to bring the matter up appropriately.
“You’re here because of your cousin, right?”
Wang Fengming was a little surprised and said, “Yes. How do you know?”

“Is it right that after drinking the medicine? Does his stomach keeps growling and he has a serious diarrhea?”
“Yes. He has already gone to the bathroom five times in less than an hour. He really can’t stand it anymore, so I came over to ask about it.”
“You don’t have to worry. The effect of this medicine is to make him have diarrhea.”
Rhubarb was bitter cold and settling. It had the effect of attacking and relieving intestinal stasis. It could expel pathogenic heat to loosen the bowels.
The Mirabilite Glauber’s Salt was bitter cold and could dissipate heat. It could cause laxation and relieve constipation. It could also cleanse the stomach and intestines.
The medicine Wang Yao prescribed was actually a laxative. It just caused a minor harm to the body.
The so-called flatulence suffered by Wang Fengming’s cousin was actually related to his daily eating habits. He liked to eat meat and drink alcohol, which caused the disorder of his stomach and intestines. As a result, food retention happened easily, as well as flatulence. The most effective result in a short period of time was to use medicine to expel the pathogenic heat to loosen the bowels and dredge his stomach and intestines completely. Then, it would be treated through the regulation of diet, along with medicine.
“Let him have diarrhea?” Wang Fengming did not understand.
“Yes. The accumulation of some indigestible food in his stomach is the cause of his illness. Moreover, due to his eating habits, the food could not be expelled smoothly. The method I use is to let him excrete all the food in his stomach. He’ll then receive treatment and recuperation. Let him have diarrhea.”
“How long will that take?”
“Two days. Don’t let him take any medicine to stop diarrhea. You can look for me again in two days. I’ll prescribe him another medicine,” Wang Yao replied.
Wang Fengming did not have any doubts after hearing what Wang Yao said. He went home directly.
“What? Let me have diarrhea for two days?” His cousin was not very happy after hearing the news. “What kind of a doctor is he?”
“I think what he said is reasonable. You should give it a try,” Wang Fengming persuaded him.
“It’s easy for you to say. Who could endure two days of diarrhea? I’m not even allowed to take any medicine to stop diarrhea!” The more Wang Fengming’s cousin thought it over, the more he realized that the young man was not reliable.

“Ah! I can’t stand it anymore. I need to go to the bathroom again.”
Wang Fengming’s cousin did not eat and only went to the bathroom 14 times within three hours. The average frequency was five times in an hour. The torture made his legs feel like jelly. He could not even stand stably.
“This won’t do. I need to go back. Cousin, listen to me. The doctor is unreliable. Don’t get him to treat your illness next time.”
Wang Fengming’s cousin came on a motorcycle. However, when he went back, the way he rode the motorcycle made people feel a little shaky.
Would there be a problem? Wang Fengming was still a bit worried.
His cousin specially asked for a roll of toilet paper on the way back. This actually proved to be a wise decision. On the way back, he stopped by the roadside five times and found a place in the field to defecate.
That damn quack! He cursed Wang Yao once every time he had a diarrhea.
…
In the mountain village, Wang Yao stayed at the medical center for a while. Just when he wanted to leave for the hill, he received a call from Professor Lu.
Professor Lu wanted to bring someone over for medical treatment in two days. It was still the same woman as last time.
“Okay, I’ll wait for you.” This was Wang Yao’s reply.
Just as he locked the door, a car came into the mountain village.
“Is this where the doctor is?” Two people came down from the car. They were middle-aged men. One was a little fatter, whereas the other was a little thinner.
“Yes.”
“Is he that marvelous?”
“As far as I know, his ability in treating headaches is indeed remarkable. I’ve looked into the 15 people he treated. They have a very high opinion of his pharmaceutical technology. The effect of the treatment is also not bad.”
“Let’s go have a look.”
It was impossible to open the door because it was locked.
“No one is in.”
“He should be in.”
The two of them waited outside for quite some time. They met a villager and asked about it.
“He went up the hill?”
“Yes. The young man is usually on the hill,” an elder in the village replied.
“How far is the hill away from here, Grandpa?”
“It’s not far. There. Do you see that hill? Bypass it, and the hill is behind.”
The two of them looked at the hill that the old man was pointing at. They estimated it would take 20 or 30 minutes to get there, plus time to get behind it.
“Director Chen, what do you think?”
“Let’s wait in the car.”
The two of them got into the car and waited.
Wang Yao was carefully checking the herbal field on the hill.
After an hour, the car was still waiting on the west side of the medical center.
“Mr. Chen, why don’t we head back?” The person who spoke was the thinner man. He did not do a thorough preparation for this. He had not obtained Wang Yao’s phone number.
“Wait for a little longer.” Director Chen waved his hand.
Just as he was speaking, the old man who passed by now returned and stopped in front of the car. Upon seeing the situation, Director Chen came down from the car.
“Grandpa.”
“Have you not left?”
“Yes, I’m looking for him. I’ll just wait here.”
“Wait at his house then,” the old man answered.
“Is his house here too?” Director Chen asked.
“Of course.”
“It’s okay. It’s a bit abrupt to visit rashly. We’ll just wait here,” Director Chen replied after pondering for a while.
“Okay. Wait here then. I’ll go to his house and inform his family to get him to come down from the hill.”
“Thank you. Why don’t I go with you?” After hearing what the old man said, Director Chen changed his mind. He then took out two boxes of fine tea and wine from the trunk of the car.
…
In Wang Yao’s house, his mother was busy. She suddenly heard the sound of the door being opened.
“Is Xiuying in?”
After hearing the sound, Zhang Xiuying came out and saw that the person was an elder in the village. She hurriedly put her work aside and went forward to ask, “Uncle, is there a matter?”
“These two are outsiders. They say that they’re looking for Yao. They’ve waited outside for more than an hour. Why don’t you give him a call?”
“Why are you looking for him?” Zhang Xiuying asked a little doubtfully.
“We want him to treat an illness.”
Surprised, the old man who led them here said, “What? Yao knows how to treat illnesses?”

Hello ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to my first attempt at writing a novel. I am preparing to participate in the 2017 NaNoWriMo event so enjoy the first chapter as that's here early only to ensure that I have a place to post once the event starts. This means the first novel/book will have a target of 50,000 words. I'm excited to attempt this challenge despite the hurdles I will have to overcome. I do have a demanding full time job so planning time to write and make weekly releases starting in November will be my biggest challenge. Also, please accept my apologies on my cover. I'm not an artist and the only digital tool available at my disposal is the stock microsoft paint. So I did my best to create a decent cover as I did not want to steal the work of another. If there are those interested by the end of November in donating a new fan made cover then I will look into replacing the old cover.
