Chapter 317: Can You Treat Infertility?
Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio
Wang Yao had picked quite a few grapes. He watered them with ancient spring every day, and the grapes had grown quite well. The harvest season had begun a few days ago, so more and more grapes were ready to eat.
Wang Yao called his friends to come to try the grapes.
Li Maoshuang came first.
“Hey, you’ve got quite a few grapes. Any more in your garden?” asked Li Maoshang as he set his eyes on the grapes on the table.
“Yes, there are still a few not quite ready. I’ll pick them up in a few days,” Wang Yao replied.
“Great! That’s great!”
Li Maoshuang took two bunches of grapes from the plate and put them into the plastic bag he brought. He then placed the bag next to him.
“What are you doing?” Wang Yao asked.
“I want to save the grapes for the next few days.”
“You don’t need to do that. You can come here in a few days if you really like the taste of them.”
“They haven’t come yet, so they don’t know how delicious the grapes are. Once they know, they are gonna fight with me for the grapes,” Li Maoshuang joked.
While they were talking, Wei Hai entered the courtyard.
“Hey, it’s really nice and cool here,” he said.
“Are these the grapes you are talking about? They look nice.” Wei Hai put one grape into his mouth before sitting down. He made himself feel at home.
“Wow! It’s delicious. Do you have more?” Wei Hai’s eyes lightened.
“Yes, but they are not ready to eat yet,” Wang Yao said.
“Make sure you save some for me. I’ll come fetch some in a few days,” Wei Hai replied.
“See what I told you?” Li Maoshuang said with a smile.
Wang Mingbao and Tian Yuantu arrived shortly after.
Wang Yao had used the grapes as an excuse to meet with his friends. He hadn’t seen them for some time and wanted an opportunity to get together.
“By the way, I need a favor,” Wang Yao said to Wei Hai.
“What is it?” Wei Hai asked.
“Do you remember that Zhao Sen? Can you ask him to meet me? I need to ask him some questions.”
Wang Yao still believed that the two young man he came across the other day were hiding something. As the saying went, the concern of the thief was worse than the thief himself. Wang Yao hoped everything would be fine, but he had to prepare for the worst.

“Okay, no problem,” Wei Hai said.
“What happened?” everyone asked.
Wang Yao then told them about the two young men watching him.
“What? Those bastards! They really need a big lesson!” Wang Mingbao raised his eyebrows.
“Have you looked into that guy from Ji?” Tian Yuantu asked after thinking for a moment.
“No, I don’t know anyone in Ji,” Wang Yao said.
“How come? He Qisheng is familiar with Ji, and he knows quite a few people there,” Tian Yuantu replied.
“Okay, I will ask him to help me,” Wang Yao said.
As he chatted with his friends, he lost track of time. It was soon lunch time, so they went to the restaurant in the village next door. Wang Yao had already booked a table.
The owner of the restaurant knew Wang Yao and his friends well, so the size of the dishes was quite generous. The quality was quite good.
“We are all gonna drive after lunch, so don’t drink too much,” suggested Wang Yao.
“Don’t worry. How can we not drink when we catch up? By the way, do you have any herbs we can take after drinking so the police won’t tell we are driving drunk?” joked Wang Mingbao.
“Of course not!” Wang Yao answered straightforwardly.
Even he had such herbs, he wouldn’t give them any. Drunk driving was a dangerous thing to do.
After drinking a few glasses of wine, and a few cups of green tea, Wang Yao and his friends talked about their life and had a good time together.
They were so relaxed that they forgot about their career, business, burdens, and unhappiness.
Friendship was like wine, the older it was, the purer it would be. Sometimes wine was a good thing to have.
Wang Mingbao, Tian Yuantu, and Wei Hai didn’t leave the village immediately after lunch. They returned to Wang Yao’s clinic. He made them a pot of tea to help with their hangovers.
“By the way, are you gonna leave the village soon?” Wang Mingbao asked.
“No, why?” Wang Yao responded.
“I have a relative who is suffering from a weird condition. I want you to see him.”
“No problem!”
When it was around 4 p.m., Wang Mingbao, Tian Yuantu, and Wei Hai no longer felt hungover, so they left. Wang Yao was going to drive them back, but none of them accepted the offer.
After making sure they had all arrived at their places safely, Wang Yao called it a day. He then called He Qisheng to ask him to check on Li Shaoyang.

“No problem,” He Qisheng said. “What happened between you two?”
“Well, he had caused some trouble for me. He is a crazy person who requires treatment.”
He Qisheng understood what Wang Yao meant immediately and knew what to do.
“I will get back to you as soon as I can,” he said.
“Thank you.”
“You are welcome.”
The next day was sunny day but had a cool wind.
It happened to be the weekend, so Wang Ru returned home. Wang Yao had a wonderful day with his family, which passed quickly.
Wang Yao’s parents mentioned marriage again to Wang Ru and Wang Yao during dinner, but they didn’t have a long conversation on the topic. It seemed that Zhang Xiuying and Wang Fenghua were no longer pushy.
“Hey, I’ve got a question to ask you,” Wang Ru said secretively after dinner.
“What? Why are you so secretive?” Wang Yao asked.
“Well, can you treat some really tricky illnesses?”
“What tricky illnesses?”
“Something like.. .infertility.”
“What?!” Wang Yao was surprised. “Sis, are you joking?”
“I’m serious. Can you?”
“No,” Wang Yao said without hesitation.
Actually Wang Yao could, or to be precise, he had the knowledge and ability of how to treat infertility. However, he didn’t want to treat that kind of condition at this stage because he would have to deal with the patient’s private parts.
“Okay, forget it,” Wang Ru said. “But, haven’t you said you can treat all sorts of illnesses?”
“Ha ha!” Wang Yao laughed awkwardly. “Why did you ask me this?”
“I have a colleague who hasn’t had any kids after six years of marriage. They have been too all sorts of fertility clinic, but she still can’t get pregnant. She just asked me a few days ago if I knew anyone who could treat infertility.”
“I see. She asked because you are nice,” Wang Yao responded.
“You don’t know. She and her husband really love each other, but they almost divorced because of this.”
Wang Yao hesitated. Eventually, he decided not to see his sister’s colleague.
He received a call from Wei Hai in the evening. He told Wang Yao that Zhao Sen had been found and soon he could tell Wang Yao who Zhao Sen was.
“Thanks,” Wang Yao said.
“Don’t worry about it. Remember, we are friends,” Wei Hai replied.
Wei Hai was a highly regarded person in Haiqu. It was a piece of cake for him to get people to check on Zhao Sen. However, he didn’t want to get involved with those people anymore.
Two bunches of grapes were ready to eat the next day. Wang Yao took them home.
“Wow, the grapes are so delicious.” This was the first time Wang Ru tasted the grapes from hiss courtyard. She was quite impressed with them.
“Did you grow them yourself?” she asked.
“Yes. I planted some grape seeds in my clinic’s courtyard.”
“Do you have anymore? Can you get me some to take back to town in the afternoon?”
“I’ve only got these two bunches at the moment.”
“I was gonna take a few to my workplace to show off to those foodies,” Wang Ru said with a smile.
“I’ll get you some next week.”
“Okay.”
Chen Boyuan brought his father-in-law to the village on Monday.
“Boyuan, the doctor you mentioned lives in this village?” asked Chen Boyuan’s father-in-law.
“Yes.”
“Did you say he’s very young?”
“Yes, he is very young, but he is an extraordinary doctor. He is highly regarded by Su Xiaoxue’s family.”
“Such a capable young man is willing to stay in such an isolated village. There are not many people like him nowadays,” Chen Boyuan’s father-in-law thoughtfully said.
“Let me help you get out of the car.”
He helped his father-in-law get out of the car and into the wheelchair. He then pushed him into the courtyard of Wang Yao’s clinic.
Villagers were passing Wang Yao’s clinic in the morning and happened to see Chen Boyuan and his father-in-law entering Wang Yao’s clinic.
“Hey, what do you think Fenghua’s son is doing inside? What is the wheelchair guy doing here? Doing business with him?” asked one of the villagers.
“No, what business? The clinic has been open for a while. Haven’t you noticed vehicles coming to our village to load herbs?” said an observant villager.
“You are right! Why do you think all these people come to look for him?”
“Well, why does it bother you? Haven’t you got enough to do in the field?”
“I’m just curious.”
The rumors about Wang Yao had never really stopped, especially since there were so many luxurious cars coming in and out of the village recently. The villagers were more and more curious about this young man, who had graduated from a well-known university but preferred to stay in this isolated village.

Cultivating Earth [Hiatus]
[This fiction is on indefinite hiatus. I'm currently acting as a 24-hour caregiver for my step-father who had a massive heart attack. Sorry everyone!] Zhao Gang, after hundreds of thousands of years cultivating, has finally reached the penultimate threshold. He is ready to ascend to the level of True Immortal. Driven by the need for a place his enemies won't find him, Zhao Gang puts together an audacious plan. He has developed a revolutionary new formation which will allow him to ascend while on even the lowest planes. To avoid drawing attention, he has to choose a plane that is relatively desolate, however. He chooses Earth. Fast forward three thousand years. Zhao Gang discovers what his work has wrought - a cultivation-free culture that has delved the deep mysteries of creation - he can't help but think how this tiny little planet devoid of natural energy could affect the course of all creation. There's only one problem. For that to happen, he has to succeed in cultivating Earth. Notes: Chinese names should be ignored in the social context - they don't mean anything. Sorry for slaughtering such a beautiful tradition. This novel starts off slower than most. If the slow-roll isn't your thing, you might want to give this a pass. If it's not for you, I understand. Also, releases may be broken up into smaller chunks. The goal is 5k words, but definitely more than 4k. If you see a short release, be aware that more is probably coming. I'll be honest and say that I'm struggling with each new scene, if only because I want to balance the scope of vision with good pacing. I hope the work I put into it is worthwhile.
