Chapter 198: Listening to the Sound, Smelling the Odor, and Making a Diagnosis
Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio
The two of them were chatting while walking, then each of them took a bus to Lianshan town center after they had left Nanshan hill.
Soon, Wang Yao had arrived at Lianshan town center. Wei Hai was drinking tea while lying on the bamboo chair. He looked very relaxed, and the tea smelled nice.
“Hey, you are really enjoying yourself!” said Wang Yao.
“Hi, how come you are here? Come in and take a seat. Try the Wuyi rock tea I just made,” said Wei Hai as he stood up.
“Sure, I’ll help myself,” said Wang Yao.
The tea tasted really nice. Wuyi rock tea had the taste of combined green and black tea. Its nature was mild and was good for the stomach. The tea smelled as nice as flowers.
“You know what, I found I really enjoy my lifestyle now. I can travel around, see friends, drink nice tea and chat with people. My previous life was too complicated, you know, as a businessman, I had to deal with those who tried to fool me or cheat me. Now, I no longer worried about it. When I’m thinking about it, my previous life was really tiresome!” said Wei Hai with a sigh.
“What happened to your business?” asked Wang Yao.
“I left it to my wife and my brother to run,” said Wei Hai.
“So you handed it over to them completely?” asked Wang Yao.
“Yes, I almost died! What use is my business to me then? The money I’ve made over the years was enough for me to spend the rest of my life, and all the shares of my company are still under my name. I have nothing to worry about,” said Wei Hai.
“It’s good you can think like that. By the way, I’ve brought you the decoction,” said Wang Yao as he took the Deworming powder out of his pocket.
“Thank you so much!” Wei Hai’s eyes lightened up as soon as he saw the decoction.
“I’ve made some adjustments to the decoction. I increased its dosage so you will likely feel uncomfortable while taking it,” said Wang Yao.
“No problem, I can put up with it,” said Wei Hai as he shook his hand.
“Good, take some now,” said Wang Yao.
“Now?” said Wei Hai.
“Yes, after you’ve taken it, I will try to make the decoction able to be absorbed faster,” said Wang Yao.
“Okay,” said Wei Hai. He poured the decoction into a small teacup and drank it up without hesitation.
“Now lie down,” said Wang Yao.
“Okay!” said Wei Hai in surprise, but he still found a place to lie down.
Wang Yao put his right hand on Wei Hai’s throat and then gently massaged down his meridian to unblock his meridian and stimulate the blood circulation so that the decoction could be absorbed faster and more thoroughly. Wang Yao pressed, pushed, and rubbed on Wei Hai’s meridians, sometimes fast, sometimes slowly, sometimes gently, sometimes heavily. After a short while, Wei Hai started to feel a warmth in his stomach, and the warm feeling started to spread mainly towards the right side of his stomach.

It was because Wang Yao regularly massaged Wei Hai’s meridian to allow the decoction to be absorbed and spread accordingly.
“Could you please sit up?” asked Wang Yao.
Wei Hai sat up immediately.
Wang Yao then massaged his back repeatedly following the meridians in his back
What?!
Wei Hai’s body suddenly trembled, and he looked uncomfortable. He felt a pain in his stomach like he was stabbed by needles.
“What is going on?” asked Wang Yao.
“I feel pain in my stomach,” said Wei Hai as he was clenching his teeth.
“Where is the pain?” asked Wang Yao.
“Here.” Wei Hai pointed to the right side of his chest.
“Try to hold it.” Wang Yao sat down to check Wei Hai’s pulse.
“Sorry, I can’t!” Wei Hai stood up and rushed to the toilet.
Ugh! He vomited everything he had for breakfast, then acid. At last, he started to vomit thick black blood which stunk. Looking closer, there were tiny insects and the eggs of insects in the blood.
“Rinse your mouth and drink some water.” Wang Yao gave him a glass of warm water.
“Thank you, ugh!”
Wei Hai was still nauseous. After vomiting so much blood and food, Wei Hai became quite weak. He was sweating hard.
“I think the decoction I gave you is too strong. Take less next time,” said Wang Yao.
Wei Hai had no strength to talk. After coming out of the toilet, he threw himself into the chair. His face was pale.
“Drink this.” Wang Yao took out another porcelain bottle with a different decoction inside.
This decoction was not Regather soup. It was made of wild ginseng, sealwort, angelica, glossy ganoderma and some other precious herbs. Although it was not as effective as Regather soup, it was an effective decoction to consolidate corporeity.
Wei Hai took a small sip. He felt a warm current running into his stomach; then it spread all over his body. His pain had reduced significantly, and he had gained some strength back.
Hooah! He had a heavy sigh of relief.
“Thank you very much!” said Wei Hai sincerely.
“You can drink more of this,” said Wang Yao.
Wei Hai immediately took a big mouthful of the decoction.
“The two decoctions will work together to treat your disease. No rush,” said Wang Yao.
“Sure,” said Wei Hai.
After a while, Wang Yao checked Wei Hai’s pulse again. He left after making sure Wei Hai’s condition was stable.
“Have a good rest at noon; eat something light. I’ve got other things to do, so I gotta go,” said Wang Yao.
“You are not going to join me for lunch?” asked Wei Hai.
“Not today. I’ve got to see someone else. Don’t move now, rest,” said Wang Yao.
Wang Yao went to Tong Wei’s apartment straight away after he had left Wei Hai’s place. He and Tong Wei then did some grocery shopping and had lunch in a restaurant.
While they were having lunch, Tong Wei was sitting next to the window and staring blankly at the street.
“What’s on your mind?” asked Wang Yao.
“Nothing,” said Tong Wei with a smile.
She was thinking of when she would come back to Lianshan after she had returned to Dao City. She was thinking of what would happen after she went overseas. She was also thinking about her old schoolmate sitting opposite her, who she was in love with.

Women would not only become stupid when they were in love, but they would also have a lot of things on their mind.
They went back to Tong Wei’s apartment to pack things up after lunch. It was past 2 pm after they had finished packing.
“Shall I take you back to Dao City?” asked Wang Yao.
“Okay,” said Tong Wei.
Wang Yao drove Tong Wei back to Dao City. It took him at least three hours to drive from Lianshan to Dao City. Because Wang Yao drove slowly, it took him nearly four hours. He drove to Haiqu first, then went onto the highway.
There were a lot of vehicles on the road due to the Labor Day holiday. Wang Yao drove slowly.
“Can you stay in Dao City for a few days? We can look around together,” suggested Tong Wei.
“Okay,” said Wang Yao. Before he left the village, his mother also asked him to stay in Dao City for a few days with Tong Wei and not to rush back home.
After Wang Yao had returned from Beijing, he became even busier. He spent more time out of the village and less time on Nanshan hill. He was still adapting to it.
“Have your auntie and her family gone back to Beijing?” asked Tong Wei.
“Yes,” said Wang Yao.
“When will you go to Beijing again?” asked Tong Wei.
“Maybe in a few days from now,” replied Wang Yao.
“My mother has been talking nicely about you,” said Tong Wei.
“Really? What did she say?” asked Wang Yao.
“She said you are nice, polite and modest,” said Tong Wei with a smile.
“Haha, she’s telling the truth,” said Wang Yao.
“I suppose so. What did you mother say about me?” asked Tong Wei.
…
Time always passed quickly when they were talking, especially when they were having a conversation like this. It was ordinary but loving.
They arrived at Dao City at about 6:30 pm. It was not dark yet at that time. Tong Wei didn’t return to her apartment immediately. She invited Wang Yao for dinner at a very special restaurant.
It started to get dark. The lights were on, and Dao City looked distinctive at night.
The restaurant was close to the ocean. It had an ocean view, and Wang Yao could hear the sound of sea waves through the window.
Tong Wei ordered several dishes and two glasses of fruit juice.
“Hi, Tong Wei?” Someone called Tong Wei’s name.
When they were waiting for the dishes, a man in his 30’s came to their table and said hello to Tong Wei.
“Hello, Mr. Tang.” Tong Wei stood up and smiled as soon as she saw the man.
“This is…?” asked Mr. Tang who was in a nice suit and looking at Wang Yao.
“He’s my boyfriend,” said Tong Wei.
“Hi, nice to meet you,” said Mr. Tang. He sized up Wang Yao with his eyes.
“Hello,” said Wang Yao with a smile.
“Well, I’m not going to disrupt your dinner, see you later,” said Mr. Tang who left the table straight away.
Wang Yao looked at the back of Mr. Tang and lost in his thoughts.
“What happened?” asked Tong Wei.
“Well, it seems that Mr. Tang’s got some health problems,” said Wang Yao.
“Problems? What problems?” asked Tong Wei in surprise. Wang Yao had only just met Mr. Tang. She was present when Wang Yao saw her mother. He checked her mother’s pulse at that time. This time, he didn’t even check Mr. Tang’s pulse. He just detected Mr. Tang’s health issue by talking to him briefly. This was really unbelievable.
“He is very weak and has a deficiency in his kidneys. He is using medicine to barely support his kidney,” said Wang Yao.
Wang Yao was able to make a diagnosis after listening to one’s sounds and smelling one’s odor.
The ancient Chinese had already known how to do it. But only a handful of people knew it nowadays, and even fewer people could do it.
“Are you kidding me?” asked Tong Wei with a smile.
“Of course not!” said Wang Yao.
Wang Yao didn’t tell Tong Wei everything. Mr. Tang looked young, but he looked unsteady on his feet. His breath was smelly and shallow. Although his face looked shiny, it was due to the medicine he took and not because he was actually healthy. Wang Yao presumed that Mr. Tang’s vitality was destroyed by too much alcohol and sex.
“What does he do for a living?” asked Wang Yao.
“He is the deputy chief officer of a well-known advertising company in Dao City,” replied Tong Wei.
“Advertising company? No wonder! Too many parties,” said Wang Yao.
“Of course, he’s dealing with pretty women all the time. He’s probably having dinner with one of them now,” said Tong Wei with a smile.
“Really?” Wang Yao looked up and saw Mr. Tang having dinner with a young lady.
“You are right!” said Wang Yao.
“He used to chase after me,” said Tong Wei with a smile.
“Really? Why did you turn him down? He’s good-looking and seems quite wealthy,” said Wang Yao.
“Are you looking for a fight?” Tong Wei pretended to be angry, “He doesn’t have a good reputation, and he has too many girlfriends.”
After dinner, Wang Yao and Tong Wei left the restaurant. Mr. Tang came out at the same time with a tall and slim young woman who looked to be in her 20’s. She had light make-up and was good-looking. She had a nice figure as nice as Tong Wei’s.
“Hey, Tong Wei, how will you go back?” asked Mr. Tang.
“My boyfriend will drive me to my apartment,” said Tong Wei.
“I see, drive safe, see you later,” said Mr. Tang.
He then walked to a BMW car with that tall and slim girl. His hand was on her waist.
“I really admire Mr. Tang’s courage and insight!” said Wang Yao as he watched Mr. Tang drive off.

New hope online
*as of right now this is my second time writing all this I really hate doing this twice in a row. well this story was made by me and a few friends ideas and stuff most of the pictures owned are not mine but some will be and every picture I use is respectively owned by their creators. Now let's go to the story. FYI this is my second time doing this so I'm a little pissed so I probably will not have good grammar and stuff so whenever you guys see something wrong why don't you come help me to make this story great peace out and have fun* The year is 2009 there's a war going between robots and human Arnold [email protected]&**&6 . ah crap that was totally my fault wrong story ok here we go the real story. The years 2086 and life is hella awesome. in about the year 2065 a new fun toy came out they called this VR. but VR isn't just a toy anymore. Vr changed the life of everyone in America but really all over the world . the thing that made VR awesome was that you can know go to work from your house laying in the bed with a VR helmet on making twice as much money for the hours you put in. you can know go to school from your house learn for a full 6 hours in VR but than when you get out its only been one hour in real life . there are so many uses that people can use VR for. of course military personal use it aswell to train there minds and stuff. But to me this really doesn't mean much. The real beauty in VR is the gaming i love gaming with a passion me and my family are gonna get this awesome game called new hope online. This game is a mmo RPG it of course has the typical RPG quest adventures and a lot of other things that i cant explain. but generally I'm super excited for only 2 things in this game. The first is that there is a cohesive and reactive world. Ok ill just give you a small example. so lts say im an adventurer and im killing goblins i go every single day for the next 3 year with 4 of my freinds to kill goblins after a while if you hunt destroy or do anything to envirment fror prlonged periods of time the enviroment will etheir act violently and try to destroy you or the worldwill remove that resource from that area. which i think makes total since. ok last but not least you know how nearly every single mmo lets you play as the adventurer only. Well thats changed. In this mmo you are allowed to be a monster if you want thats freaking awesome i love it. The object of a monster is to become strong enough to etheir, make a dungeoun, own a clan/ tribe. generally there are apperently alot of ways to win as a monster but since this is a mmo of course theres no real winning. But as a monster everybody is aiming for the top. another objective is to kill the demon king and take hismantle as hahaha demon king. oh i totally forgot to introduce my self my name is roin . like coin but with a r instead of an c . this is gonna be my story so peace out and read the story . * the star before a sentence means me as an author is talking ok this is explaining meanings RPG=Role Playing Games MMO=Massively Multiplayer Online Vr = virtual reality
