Chapter 151: Accomplish a Great Task with Little Effort Using Clever Maneuvers and Fists that Represent Justice
Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio
“He has a criminal record? He’s likely not a good guy!”
Wang Yao increased his wariness of this guy in question.
…
In the afternoon, he was on the hill digging pits at the specified locations. He only needed to wait for Chen Kun to deliver the trees that he had ordered so that he could plant them.
The next day, Chen Kun delivered a truck of plants to the hill.
“Do you need help?” After unloading the plants, Chen Kun offered. He was very experienced in the planting of botanicals.
“There’s no need. I can do it myself. Would you like to come to my cottage to have a cup of tea?”
He invited Chen Kun and his two companions into his cottage.
“West Lake Longjing, Qimen black tea, Huangshan Maojian. Tsk tsk. You have so much good tea!” Chen Kun exclaimed.
“They are gifts from my friends.”
“Tastes good; it’s such an enjoyment!”
When Chen Ku left, Wang Yao planted the shrubs. It was a substantial number. These shrubs look small. However, it was not easy planting them because the location in which to plant them were in different areas. It was not something that could be completed in a day.
At noontime, Wang Yao did not go down the hill for lunch but had a casual lunch on the hill and then continued with his chores until the afternoon. When the sky darkened, he went down the hill.
Upon returning home, as he was helping his mother with the clearing of the dishes, he noticed that his mother limped when she walked.
“What’s wrong, Mom?” Wang Yao asked hastily.
“Nothing. I accidentally fell.”
“Why so careless? Let me take a look.” Wang Yao quickly examined her. There was a slight abrasion on her leg and a little discoloration—nothing major. Wang Yao was relieved.
“Good that you are okay.”
As they were eating, someone knocked on the door and entered the house. It was Wang Fengming’s wife, and she brought some stuff with her.
“Sister, are you okay?”
“I am okay. Xiangcui, come and sit down,” Zhang Xiuying smiled and remarked. “You don’t have to bring anything when you visit!”
“I’m glad you are okay. I think that person did it on purpose; his bike was speeding so quickly,” Wang Fengming’s wife, Xiangcui, replied.
“On purpose!? Riding a bike!” Wang Yao was shocked upon hearing her. He raised his head and saw his mother lightly nudge Wang Fengming’s wife. The latter noticed the awkwardness and quickly changed the subject.
“Aunt, stay here and chat with Mom. Mom, Dad, I am going up the hill.”
“Okay, take care.”
“Mrs. Wang, Yao doesn’t know about this?” the conversation in Wang Yao’s house continued.
“Yes, I was afraid to tell him. He might go looking for the person.”
After he left the house, Wang Yao did not rush up the hill. Instead, he went to Wang Fengming’s house.

“Uncle, are you home?”
“Yao, come inside and have a seat!” Wang Fengming hurriedly came out when he saw that it was Wang Yao. He invited him into the house and served him tea and water.
“Uncle, don’t bother. Are you feeling better?”
“After I took the decoction you gave me, I feel much better,” Wang Fengming smiled and replied.
“Uncle, I have something to ask you. Please tell me the truth.”
“What is it?”
“My mother fell today. Was it really an accident or was she knocked down by someone?”
Wang Fengming hesitated for a moment.
“She was knocked over by a motorist.”
“Who?”
“Don’t know. I heard your aunt say it was a worker in the newly opened factory,” Wang Fengming commented.
“Where did it happen?”
“North of the village, on the bridge. She almost fell into the river.”
“Okay, I got it. Thank you, Uncle.” Wang Yao’s face was calm. “Don’t tell my Mom and Dad that I came.”
“Hey, Yao. Don’t do anything rash!”
“I know, Uncle,” Wang Yao’s face had a smile and was seemingly calm.
After leaving Wang Fengming’s house, Wang Yao went to the north of the village in the military unit quarters. There was a CCTV, and someone was on duty in the quarters. Usually nobody was on duty; however, it happened that Wang Jiangang was on duty that day. It was only by coincidence that he was there.
“Are you busy, Sir?”
“Yao, why are you here?”
“I want to take a look at the village CCTV. In the day, someone knocked down my mother,” Wang Yao calmly responded.
“Really? Who?”
“I don’t know, that’s why I came here to check.”
Wang Jiangang pulled out the image and checked the tape. He was able to find the exact scene very quickly. A speeding motorbike drove very close to a person. It was obvious that the close proximity was deliberate. If Zhang Xiuying had not dodged, she would not merely have been scrapped.
This guy?! Wang Yao squinted. Li Dong! He can go to hell!
“Thanks, Sir,” Wang Yao calmly said.
“Hey, listen to my advice. Don’t do anything stupid,” Wang Jiangang advised him.
After a few occasions of interaction with this seemingly reasonable young man, Wang Jiangang had an idea of his personality.
Previously, due to a clash of merely words and threats, he had caused Wang Yide to be detained in the police station, resulting in him suffering for half a month. Wang Yide had now scooted far away whenever he saw Wang Yao, like what a mouse would do when it saw a cat. Now, this outsider had scrapped Wang Yao’s mother—what would become of him?!
“Yao, don’t do anything rash, okay?”
“Sir, I know what to do.”
It was already 9 pm at night when Wang Yao left the military unit quarters in the north of the village. Wang Yao went straight to the factory.
The workers had already gotten off work. There was still light inside, and a vague silhouette of a hulking, tall shadow could be seen.

Woof, woof, woof! As Wang Yao got closer, the guard dog in the courtyard started barking fiercely.
Wang Yao tried to open the door, but it was locked from the inside.
Hearing the dog bark, the big guy inside the factory walked out. Raising his head and seeing Wang Yao, he took a metal pipe lying beside the wall.
Separated by a metal door, the two of them stared at each other.
“You knocked down my mother earlier today?” Wang Yao’s voice was calm. His inner Qi had already started flowing like a rapid river.
“Yes, that’s because your mother doesn’t look where she’s walking!” Li Dong replied.
This was a blatant challenge and a threat.
Wang Yao did not respond.
His hands strongly pounded at the metal door, producing a huge bang, thump and creak. The double metal doors were forced open, and the metal lock had broken.
Woof! The dog that was chained up bounded rapidly to the commotion.
Howl! A dismal howl rang out as the dog flew and hit the wall, never to clamber back up again.
Li Dong rolled up the metal pipe and tried to hit Wang Yao. His stare was furious. Wang Yao dodged the metal pipe and swiftly surged ahead with his fists, ferocious and violent.
It was not Tai Chi, but Baji. The fists were unyielding and violent.
Crash! The big guy flew out, and the metal pipe clanked onto the ground. Thump. The man landed on the ground as well. He clambered up while clutching his stomach. He glared at Wang Yao ferociously as though he were a wolf about to eat a man.
This was a wicked and unrighteous man—a scourge!
Li Dong staggered with the metal pipe and attempted to hit Wang Yao again. Wang Yao stepped a pace forward with both his fists moving.
It was not a move to “accomplish a great task with little effort using a clever maneuver,” but “a great maneuver to hit a small item.”
Li Dong had barely stabilized himself before he flew across the room and landed at the edge of the wall. He struggled and could barely stand up, similar to the ferocious dog in the other corner.
Wang Yao calmly took out his phone and dialed a number.
In the middle of the night, an ambulance and a police car’s sirens disrupted the peace of the village.
“Drink some water.” In the town police station, a policeman poured a glass of water for Wang Yao.
The policeman had received a call from the Station Commander. His instructions were clear, this young man named Wang Yao was not to suffer at the police station.
In fact, the policeman had seen Wang Yao before. Once, Wang Yao had come with Wang Mingbao. He was very clear who Wang Mingbao was—he was the mayor’s son. With this level of connection, Wang Yao only needed to record a statement.
Wang Yao’s parents were very worried. As soon as they came to know of the matter, they rushed to the police station.
“Mom and Dad, go home to rest. I will handle this.”
“You’ll handle this? You don’t think when you do things!” Wang Fenghua rebuked. Evidently, he was furious.
Since Wang Yao left the house, his parents were very anxious. When they received Wang Jiangang’s call saying that Wang Yao had come during the night to look at what happened during the day on the CCTV and saw the scene of Zhang Xiuying being knocked over, his parents knew something bad would happen and swiftly rushed out. They were too late.
Wang Yao was silent throughout.
When Wang Mingbao received the call, he immediately rushed to the police station.
“Where’s that person?”
“In the hospital,” said Wang Yao.
“He deserves it!” Wang Mingbao remarked.
The man was currently still in the emergency ward of the county hospital. He had three broken ribs and both his arms had multiple fractures. His internal organs were also bleeding.
“Based on this guy’s injury, was he hit by a car?”
“He was beaten up by a person.”
“What? Beaten up to this extent?!”
After the statement was made and after someone became his guarantor, Wang Yao could temporarily go home for the day. However, he would be on a subpoena.
When he got back, he was reprimanded by his parents. It was late in the middle of the night before he could rest.
The next day, the town police station suddenly received a call, and the policemen hurriedly drove to the village to summon Wang Yao to the police station. Subsequently, after they had arrived, two of the county policemen had come.
“Wang Yao?” The head of police’s demeanor was unfriendly.
“Yes.”
“This case will be handled by the county police station. You are suspected of assaulting someone. Come with us to assist in the investigation.”
“Okay.” Wang Yao was very cooperative and went with them to the county police station.
The police car drove at high speed. The three of them in the car were stone-faced and did not speak, as though other people owed them a lot of money. In a flash, they reached the county bureau of public security, and Wang Yao was escorted out of the car. They happened to meet with a group of people, and one of them was a smaller built, middle-aged man.
Eh? This man inadvertently saw Wang Yao and was stunned.
“Deputy County Chief, what’s the matter?” the deputy director saw him halt and hastily came forward to enquire.
“What’s happening to that young man?” At his words, the deputy director immediately went forward to enquire and then came back to report.
“His name is Wang Yao, suspected of assault.”
“Okay. As law enforcement officers, you must uphold justice. Do not miss catching the bad guys and do not wrong the innocent,” said the deputy county chief.
“Yes, yes.” The deputy director nodded his head promptly.
After seeing off the deputy county chief, the deputy director immediately turned and walked back into the police station.

World Master
Hey! I once lived on your world back in 2056. But that was a long time ago and there’s probably no records of my existence. Or, maybe, I haven’t even been born yet… …I’m still figuring out of the timelines correspond. Anyways, I was or will be, or whatever you want to call it (maybe I am?), John Pitcher, a resident at St. Jude’s Hospital for the Mentally Ill. I was a computer programmer and my parents had me admitted there because I was convinced that I had been contacted by Set, the Egyptian god of chaos, about creating a world. Well, apparently, I’m something akin to the great times a hundred grandson of over 10 000 gods, and they didn’t want me to live an ordinary, dull life (well, except for the god of normalcy, but he doesn’t count). Set gave me three years to prepare myself. This begins right at the end of those three years. [participant in the NaNoWriMo Royal Road challenge] I originally had this as part of the prologue, then I realized that it made a better synopsis. Please note: this might seem a bit clunky because I haven't done a lot of writing, and this is supposed to be a kind of prequel to another story that I plan on doing in the future. I will not be fully explaining everything but instead will be explaining things in that other story. This is mainly to help fill in the lore of the world so that people will have at least a basic idea of how things function. Regardless of that, that story won't be written for at least another year, so deal with it. Note: I am using ideas from several different authors in order to make sure that this can be a proper story. You may or may not recognize where I got them. I am not writing a Fanfiction and do not claim these as my own. I will add to a list of titles below as I find myself using those ideas. World Keeper (obviously) The Wandering Inn The Legend of Randidly Ghosthound (not yet, but eventually) A bunch of others that I haven't thought of yet
