Chapter 34: It’s a Fantasy
Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio
“Observe it carefully and see if it was really made by the young man, Wang Yao! He would be so excellent and powerful if it was!” Tian Yuantu said. He was already equipped with such extraordinary power at his age!
“I’m just guessing. Maybe there are many unknown high masters in Lianshan County these years. The high master may be that young man. But, all of these are just my guesses and they’re useless!” Xu Jiahui smiled.
“Yes. We should not care about it. It’ll be fine when he cures you.”
“Yes.”
On this day, it was sunny and the blue sky was cloudless. On Nanshan hill, Wang Yao stood in front of his herbal field and he seemed to be thinking hard.
Dozens of strains of herbs were uprooted and some tree leaves fell on the ground. San Xian who was left on the hill as a guardian didn’t do his job. His front paw wasn’t touching the ground; it seemed to be hurt.
“San Xian, let me see.” Wang Yao squatted down to have a look. He found that the leg was beaten but it was not that serious.
The herbs destroyed in the herbal field were the radix sileris and radix gentianae. He observed them carefully and was relieved since the moonlight herbs and antidote herbs were not damaged. They were saved because they grew up slower than such common herbs as radix gentianae and they were closer to the house.
However, it was an alarm to Wang Yao. Someone had attacked his herbal field!
It was just the first time and it was only the beginning so there would be more damage in the future if he didn’t find a solution.
“I should think of a way to stop this.” Something hit Wang Yao. “Hey, I’ll go ask the system for a suggestion.”
“System, are there any methods to prevent the herbal field from invasion?”

Yes.
“What is it?”
Raise poisonous insects, fortify the field, move the herbal field to an independent space…
“Wait, which one is suitable for me?” Wang Yao interrupted the system. Would raising poisonous insects also stop people from coming to the hill? Moving to an independent space sounded like a fantasy and he could not do it in a short amount time.
None of them.
“Why?”
Level is insufficient!
It was those words again! Wang Yao was helpless.
“So I have no other choices and I have to stay on the Nanshan hill.”
Wang Yao picked up the destroyed medicinal herbs painfully and then he cleared them away. He went back home and said to his parents that he was going to spend the night on the hill, then he went back to the hill with some of his stuff.
“San Xian, when you heal your wound, we will go down the hill to find the one who destroyed my field.”
Woof. San Xian seemed to get the words of Wang Yao.
So, Wang Yao started his life of guarding the field. It was fine during the daytime. People would not dare to destroy the field then since there were also other herders and farmers on the hill. At night, the light in the hut lit up in the whole field, so it was so obvious that there was someone in the hut.
Two days later, there was a surprise guest at the herbal field. A Range Rover was driven to Nanshan hill in front of the surprised eyes of the villagers.
“Woah! It’s that Range Rover again!”
“Are there any good things on the hill?”
“I heard that all of them come for Wang Yao.”
“The college boy who jumped into the river?”
“Yes, I have heard that someone wanted to contract the Nanshan hill from him for 1 million yuan!”
“What?!”
It was just a vehicle but there were so rumors in the peaceful village for it. All of these were related to Nanshan hill and Wang Yao.

“Hello. I come to visit you again!” Looking at Wang Yao, Tian Yuantu was so polite.
“Hello, Mr. Tian, what’s the matter?” Wang Yao was surprised about the coming of Tian Yuantu.
Is the Anshensan ineffective? However, he does not seem to be looking at me in a bad way.
“Stop calling me Mr. Tian, I am so embarrassed. You just call me Tian or Yuantu, both are okay with me. I came here for two things. First, I come to show my appreciation. My wife has recovered quickly since she took the herbal medicine provided by you. The disease is gone, and she can sleep well. Her entire being looks good. Thank you.”
So that was how matters stood. Listening to his words, Wang Yao became relieved since he always worried about the fact that his medicine may not cure her disease. He would not only fail the mission but he would offend others if it did not cure the disease. But now he seemed to think too much.
Ding! Mission: Gain the recognition of one patient within ten days, complete!
It is so strange that Tian Yuantu is the one who comes to thank me, instead of the patient, his wife. So why is the mission complete? Hearing this, Wang Yao was confused. However, he became so happy since the mission was finally over.
“The second thing is that I want to buy one more does of herbal medicine.”
“Buy medicine?” Wang Yao was shocked. “Why?”
“I am afraid that one dose could not cure my wife completely.”
“Oh!” Wang Yao got it now.
“Come to get the medicine tomorrow,” Wang Yao said.
“Okay. What is the name of it?” Listening to the replying of Wang Yao, Tian Yuantu became curious.
“Anshensan. It alleviates mental depression and harmonizes Qi. It also nourishes the heart and calms the mind,” Wang Yao said.
“It does nourish the heart and calm the mind—I have never seen such a magic medicine before. The medicine should be called a miraculous medicine because it is so miraculous!” Tian Yuantu marveled.
“You are flattering me,” Wang Yao said modestly.
After chatting for a while, Tian Yuantu left the hill.
As he left, there was another person going up to the hill—it was the Wang Mingbao who had not been there for days.
“Who is that guy?” Wang Mingbao asked when he got to the top.
“He came to look for herbal medicine. How about your shop?”
“I already bought it and it is under decoration. It will be open in the next week or so. You should come to my shop to celebrate!”
“I will!” Wang Yao said.
“Wait, you just say that that guy came for medicine? What kind of medicine did want? Is it the medicinal herbs that you plant?”
“No. It is the herbal medicine dispensed by me.” Since Wang Mingbao was like a good brother, Wang Yao did not hide the truth.
“You can dispense?”
“Yes. Just a little bit.”
“Shit. You even know how to dispense medicine, so what else can’t you do?” Wang Mingbao said with shock.
“I am not good at doing business. What’s the matter with you?”
“No. I just came to have a look. Hey, I went to your home at last night, but my aunt told me that you spent the night on the hill. What happened?”
“Look after the herbal filed.”
“Someone is jealous?” Wang Mingbao guessed.
“Yes.”
“Have you found out who?” Wang Mingbao showed ferocity when he spoke.
“Not yet.”
“Leave it to me. I’ll find him and teach him a lesson!”
“Don’t do anything silly.”
“Trust me. I have a plan,” Wang Mingbao said.

Free Your Mind
A journey through the mind can be a mixture of the good, the bad, the pure, and the evil. Free Your Mind is a collection of poems and short stories that I've written over the years. As of now, this book is still in progress, but I've planned to release at least 25 to 30 chapters minimum for Free Your Mind. Hopefully you enjoy reading through the works already published for this book, and I hope you'll stick around for what's to come in the future. If you have any comments, ideas, critiques, etc. please let me know! I'm always open to what people have to say about my work. Free Your Mind is a way for me to dabble into releasing my writings for the public to read. And hopefully, if all goes decent with this book, I'll continue to upload different works alongside this. Note: Currently the cover work for Free Your Mind isn't mine. I plan to upload an original design once I've completed the chapters for this book.
