Chapter 27: Have to Be Shameless
Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio
Earlier, Guo Sirou wanted to give Wang Yao half a million yuan as payment for saving her brother. Wang Zexiao also wanted to give him half a million yuan.
Looks like it was my lucky day, Wang Yao thought.
“I can’t do that!” Wang Zexiao was a bit agitated as Wang Yao refused to accept the money.
“Yes, you can! Keep the money!” said Wang Yao firmly.
Half a million yuan was not a small amount of money to Wang Yao. He would have probably been tempted in the past, but now he had a magical system and all the possibilities it brought. The money didn’t seem to be attractive to him anymore. Furthermore, he and Wang Zexiao were from the same village. They grew up together and they were remotely related. He didn’t want to jeopardize their relationship because of money.
Wang Zexiao still tried to convince Wang Yao to take the money. In the end, Wang Yao had to put on a look of disapproval to stop Wang Zexiao. But Wang Zexiao told him that the half a million yuan was considered a loan. Whenever Wang Yao needed money, Wang Zexiao will return the half a million yuan to him.
After lunch, Wang Yao went to the town again to buy some herbs to make Anshensan.
“Hey, young man, how can I help you this time?” after several visits, the shop assistant of the herb store started to know Wang Yao.
“As usual, I want to buy some herbs. Here is the list,” Wang Yao handed the list to the shop assistant. He didn’t need to buy a lot this time so the shop assistant quickly got everything ready for him.
“Are you going to brew decoctions again?” asked the shop assistant.
“Yes,” replied Wang Yao.
“What do you do for a living? Are you a Chinese Medicine Practitioner?” It was the first time the shop assistant asked Wang Yao about his occupation.

“I’m a traditional Chinese Pharmacist.” Wang Yao spoke naturally of what he did for a living.
“Pharmacist? You mean those people who do give out drugs and do analyses? I heard it is not easy to get a pharmacist certificate,” said the shop assistant with a smile.
“Not that kind of pharmacist,” Wang Yao laughed.
“Then what kind of pharmacist?” asked the shop assistant curiously.
“Planting herbs, making formulas and curing diseases,” said Wang Yao.
“What?” the shop assistant said with a surprise,” That’s awesome!”
“I…” Wang Yao was going to say “I’m not that good” but he stopped when he heard the prompts from the system.
As a traditional Chinese Pharmacist, do not look down on yourself!
Wang Yao knew exactly what the system meant.
It seems that I shouldn’t be too modest. Then I have to pretend that I’m good, Wang Yao thought.
“Yes.” He sort of agreed with the shop assistant.
“You know how to treat diseases?!” The shop assistant was amazed.
“Haha, yes!” Wang Yao had to bite the bullet and continue.
“Do you have a medical certificate?” asked the shop assistant.
“Well, no,” said Wang Yao.
“What?”
The shop assistant sized Wang Yao up. He could tell Wang Yao was embarrassed, so he stopped asking questions.
Fortunately, he didn’t keep asking me questions. It’s really not easy being a traditional Chinese Pharmacist. I’ve got to be bold, Wang Yao thought. He was too shy to speak anymore, so he left with the herbs in a hurry.
He didn’t stay in Lian Shan for much longer. He went straight to Nanshan hill after returning to the village and sorted through all the herbs he bought in the cottage.
He still had one more task to do. The herbs for making Anshensan had all been prepared. The only thing left was the moonlight herbs which were still growing. He decided to deal with the other herbs before the moonlight herb was ready to use.

The only thing was that the moonlight herbs had particular traits. They had to grow and develop under the moonlight; the moonlight was the best fertilizer for them. Apart from that, even the ancient spring water was not very useful.
Maybe I should just try two small leaves? thought Wang Yao while he was standing in front of the cottage. He was looking at ten moonlight herbs in the herbal field. The plants had green leaves like jade. The leaves were about ten centimeters long and two to three centimeters wide.
Well, I should wait for another two days. Let me try the multifunctional pot first, Wang Yao thought.
Wang Yao prepared some herbs from the leftovers of the past five formulas. These leftover herbs were fantastic for experiments. From his experience of making the five formulas, Wang Yao basically learned the methods and precautions of brewing decoctions from the Invaluable Prescriptions for Ready Reference book. So things were much smoother for him this time. He weighed and processed the herbs first, then soaked them in the water, and finally started brewing them.
The multifunctional pot had a similar size to that of the kettle for boiling water. He placed the pot on the stove, which was made of a few bricks. Inside the pot, there was clear ancient spring water and under the stove, there was firewood Wang Yao got from the hill. Wang Yao put the herbs in proportion into the pot as the flame was moving about under the stove.
Wang Yao carefully controlled the flame, and observed and controlled the process.
What is this?
After a short while, Wang Yao detected a problem. Regardless of the changes in the flame’s intensity, the fluid inside the pot was still boiling at the same level.
So Wang Yao did another experiment. He added some firewood to stimulate the flame, then reduced the firewood to make the flame weaker. But the boiling fluid inside the spot was not affected at all.
The things from the system are so wonderful! Wang Yao thought.
Apart from stabilizing the boiling fluid, Wang Yao found that it took him less time to brew the decoction this time.
After the decoction was ready, the dregs and the liquid were separated very well. Wang Yao then poured the liquid out and removed the dregs. He found there were absolutely no dregs left on the inside of the pot, as if the pot were still brand new.
“Good.” Wang Yao was thrilled. He only needed to briefly rinse the pot after using it.
Wang Yao only required one formula to prove this multifunctional pot was unusual. Wang Yao used his mind again to make the pot disappear into the system panel. After he packed his things away, Wang Yao went back to the herbal field to check on his plants.
Every type of herbal plant grew well, especially those common herbs such as Radix Gentianae and Matrimony vine. With the nourishment of the ancient spring water, within just a couple of days those herbs had grown like they had been growing for half a year.
When the herbs were ready, they must be sold well! Wang Yao knew the herbs he grew would not be sold at a low price given his experience of selling sealwort. His herbs were purely nourished by the essence of the world and he never used any chemicals fertilizer. So, the quality of those herbs should be the best.
Wang Yao returned to his home after a busy day in the herbal field. He found his mother sitting on the couch of the lounge, absent-minded as if she was thinking of something. She just brought her mind back when Wang Yao entered the lounge.
“Hey, you are back,” said Zhang Xiuying.
“Yes, mom, what were you thinking about? You didn’t hear me at all,” asked Wang Yao.

Follow along as Heather and Jamie do everything they can to last one day longer, go one step further, all while dealing with game politics and the slow acceptance of their new reality. 8 61Destiny Rewritten
I got this idea after watching Elseworlds. How might things have changed if Oliver's arrow didn't just destroy the book of destiny? What if it also did one more rewrite to reality? As in reset reality back to 7 years ago, when Oliver first returned home from Lian Yu. How might things have turned out different for him if he suddenly got a do over and he was the only one who realized it? This story will contain some elements from my Frosty Arrow fic. And now enjoy Destiny Rewritten.
