“Was my question that hard to answer? We’re already 24 years old.”
“This guy, you were ashamed of talking about this until yesterday…!”
Kisoo’s face turned red, his face looked worse than Jang Kanghun.
Perhaps the ‘Ruler of the Extinction’ liked Kisoo so much especially when his face turned red like this.
“Anyway, you’ll know if you listen to the story.”
“Um.”
I patted Sehwa’s back, who was eagerly digging into my arms, and opened my mouth.
—-
After collecting the first fragment of the Death Dragon.
“One fragment, two fragments, fragments….haha…. .”
I thought l was going to graduate from the tutorial, but when I was told to collect 99 more times, I was really devastated.
Was this the feeling of a senior high school student who was fooled by the saying that they could have so much fun in college? Or was this the feeling of a youth who was fooled by believing that they can do whatever they want when they grew up!
Well, I don’t know.
I’ve never been to college and my family’s surroundings weren’t supportive enough for an adult, in my family, to say that.
-Hyun Minjun, look at this.
Sujin flapped her short wings and headed over to the remains of the Death Dragon.
She was a woman who lacked empathy. With a scowl, I followed her. Then I could see a big sized egg. A word flashed through my mind!
“Don’t tell me …… !”
-Yes, It’s Dragon Egg.
Huh? Was this the delicacy that the Death Dragon was hiding, to fry and eat?
“As expected.”
So I nod my head as if I understood.
If I had caught about 50 fragments, Sujin would have tapped my head with her tail, without even knowing what she thought. And just like that, Sujin did not know about me that well also.
-This is my child.
“I don’t know much about the dragon’s ecology, so I’ll ask you carefully. Were Dragons like this, killing their opponents and taking away their eggs?”
-You’re not even careful with your words. Let me explain.
The very long story of Sujin who had recalled herself that day began. But, let’s just summarize it neatly.
1. Sujin was an immortal creature with immortality beyond the transcendent.
2. She gathered a lot of faith and was prepared to ascend as a God.
3. It hurts! As soon as the soul left the body, the ascension was twisted.
4. Kwangg, the ascension failed.
“..… So, since your soul has left it, your body should have returned to nature, but the abyss devoured it instead? And that was the Death Dragon?”
-That’s right. This egg is my last child left before my soul and body were separated.
Sujin looked affectionately at an egg larger than her and carefully stroked it with her wings. It’s heart-warmingly affectionate.
“As an immortal, you’re so weak.”
This was really absurd.
-The immortal who was about to ascend is weakened in existence. So, I asked some retainer to escort me but he was disloyal so……
It’s said some people joined with some of the transcendents of the abyss but they betrayed her.
“It seems that they didn’t like dragons that much.”
-Maybe so. I need to reflect on it.
“…Hmm hmm. That disloyal jerk was the bad, it’s not your fault.”
When I was trying to make fun of that word, I was struck out. I think I was very timid at this time.

In the end, the dimensions of the Midlands and Sujin’s body, which Sujin had kept for thousands of years, were thoroughly abused by the Death Dragon and the traitor.
– Fortunately, I had some power left after failing to ascend. This was used to prevent dimensional collapse and save lives.
Sujin cleaned up the Midlands and saved lives. When I heard all of this, what Sujin had done was enough, but our Sujin didn’t stop there.
“….awakened some of the earth’s people as a hunter, blocked the entrance to the dungeon with the gate, and built a Mirage?”
I think Sujin did everything except for the dungeon that was a real threat from the cataclysmic upheaval.
-Yes. That’s what happened.
“Why?”
-Because the abyss was going to use my power at the Midlands to develop its strength and sharpened the blade to turn its blade toward the earth.
Sujin, I couldn’t even understand when I heard the explanation.
-That’s what I wanted to do.
“But that doesn’t mean you have to work that hard again.”
-I’ve used up all my immortality.
“….”
If you asked me, who had seen it in person, how was the Initial Dungeon. Then I’d say I had never seen a dimensional unit that can be compared to a general one.
– And for 10 years, I spent my transcendence power to build The Initial Dungeon .
“……. What is this place.”
-This is where my karma is stagnating.
Sujin succeeded in tearing the Death Dragon to pieces and sealing it all over Midland. Such land was impossible to purify. And also, there was no way to save the corruption of the creatures.
“The corrupted creatures, do you mean the intelligent creature that I met?”
-Yes, that’s right.
The light clan, Elf. The night clan, Vampire. The earth clan, Dwarves. The forest clan, Beasts. The water clan, Mermaids. The natives of Midland were corrupted by the abyss. Thanks to the initial mana, it had stopped the corruption and freed them from the abyss.
-If they kept on getting corrupted, they would have turned into villains and monsters, too.
“Goblins, Orcs, Ougers, do you mean like these guys?”
-Yeah. They are the result of the dimensional intelligent creatures that had been corrupted by the abyss before the Midlands had mutated.
“Huh.”
—-
“Huh.”
At the end of the long story, Kisoo gave out the same exclamation as I did.
“I’m trying to hear the secret of my niece’s birth, but I’ve heard too much.”
Because he also discovered the truth of the cataclysm upheaval. Kisoo carefully reached out to Sehwa. But he just reached out, not touching her.
“What are you doing?”
“Oh, that’s because I’m scared.”
His hand was like reaching towards soap bubbles that would burst on the slightest and lightest of a finger’s touch.
“The transcendent of the abyss…. Is it possible to meet those guys in an EX-Rank dungeon?”
“No, it doesn’t happen. The Transcendental can’t go there directly.”
“But wouldn’t we still be able to get patronized, or contracted like the watchers? Oh, is it okay because they couldn’t use the blessing of awakening?”
Kisoo murmured with a look of anxiety and sighs of relief. What did he say to himself? I looked at Kisoo and tilted my head.
“What are you talking about? You’ve already done sponsorship, contract, exclusive, and everything with them.”
“…..What? Really?”
“Well, didn’t I say this? Half of the watchers belong to the abyss.”

[Some of the watchers who were listening to this conversation smile.]
The system just happened to pop up.
“Ugh!”
Kisoo must have felt the goosebumps, so he quickly wrapped his neck and looked around him.
“Ru, ru, the ruler…. haa. That’s a relief.”
It seemed like he was having a conversation with the ‘Ruler of Extinction’, and he was greatly relieved. Certainly the ‘Ruler of Extinction’ does not belong to the abyss.
Well, it’s fun to watch.
[Some watchers are offended with your explanation.]
But some watchers, I mean some tenants who belong to the abyss were not having fun.
[Some watchers ask you for further explanation.]
Okay, okay. Now you’re just pushing me to tell a bad story, phew.
“Hey, there’s an additional explanation. There’s a big event called ‘The Abyss Invasion of the Earth’.”
“Is that a new game setup?”
Kisoo just laughed because he thought that the shocked comment was quite sensible. But I ignored it.
“To participate in this event, the transcendent must choose between the abyss camp that seeks chaos or the heavens camp that seeks an order.”
“That’s right, it’s like a PVP game. Like the Horde and Alliance on world of warcraft. Just like Heavenly and demons.”
Kisoo laughed again this time. When I wasn’t responding, he lost his laugh with an awkward expression.
“Well… Then the other half of the watchers belong to the heavens camp?”
“Yes, the watchers who enter the heavens camp aim to make contributions by stopping the invasion.”
“The watcher of the abyss is aimed at helping the invasion,” Kisoo intercepted my explanation and made a stiff expression.
“No, no. They can’t get visas from transcendents with invasion purposes or with the enlightenment purpose.”
“……Huh? Visa? Who issues it?”
“The gods.”
The protagonists of this world who occupied the faith of over 30% of the world’s population were called the Gods.
Rooted in the middle east, a believer who is second only to his superior who believes in religions. The person who led many people by pursuing enlightenment through practice.
“A person with great influence.”
There’s one more religion in the four major religions, but they were so polytheistic that their faith was a little divided.
There were many other famous myths, but it’s just a story without any faith.
“…Wow. I see. Waaah.”
“What makes you so impressed? Arisha even said it.”
Arishan the Pure. As a heroic hunter, her main job was a nun. Arisha once said that the watcher interfered with the earth because the one that she believed in accepted it.
The watchers who signed with her, including the bloody saint, confirmed it in silence.
“That’s right, but you didn’t explain it directly, there is a theory that the watchers were silent on purpose to make it easier for them. I understand now. Hiya.”
Kisoo tilted his head for a long time and wondered if I was convinced with that, then I tilted my head too from side to side.
“Hey. Shouldn’t they have to stop ‘The Invasion of Abyss’ itself?”
“Because of the law of dimension units, so all dimensions are supposed to taste abyss regularly.”
“That’s something very contrived.”
“All the laws are like that, that’s the way the law works.”
Incidentally, it is to prevent dimensional corruption in advance through hellish invasion and heavenly intervention. Even if you don’t know anything about it, there is no problem living on Earth.
“If it wasn’t for my sister-in-law, was Earth going to be ruined?”
Of course not. Really, it is because damn law of the dimensional level, the gods would have stepped forward on their own.
“If not, the watchers would have come forward so it wouldn’t have been ruined.”
They must be careful and slow so they didn’t ruin themselves.
Since there was no gate, monsters would have poured out as soon as the dungeon was created, and there was no proper way to stop it without the blessing of awakening and Mirage, which would have caused a lot of damage to humans.
Still, it wouldn’t be ruined.
“The world must have been on the verge of ruin. My sister-in-law took great care of earth.”, Kisoo nodded slowly.
More than I admired the existence of god. More than to the advice that kidnapping is a crime. It was a much more serious and reverent attitude.
“If Sujin knows, she’ll like it.”
“Don’t you think she should know about this?”
“It’s okay”
Now, spreading the truth before the watcher will be hated by the exclusive and the top contractors? If Sujin wanted, I would have gone for that too, but…. Our sujin was no good at this.
Sujin went through a cataclysm upheaval, but the baby Hatchling was still not ready to accept the world, so she just hoped Sehwa could grow safely.
“So what’s the purpose of the watchers of the abyss?”
“No matter what the abyss does, it’s enough if there’s chaos.”
Being a watcher of abyss doesn’t make you do anything different from a watcher of heavens.
Hunters who have been sponsored or contracted by watchers of abyss also climb the Mirage and go around the dungeon.
No. Rather, they can be seen more actively turning the Mirage into the dungeon.
“…….Is it teamkill?”
“Yes. teamkill. He’s only not touching the dungeon in his control.”
“Hey, that’s shit.”
Chaos happens even if they fight and beat each other. No, maybe more intense and violent. As much as you gnaw the power of the opponent’s watcher, you will have a room to extend your own power.
“Now I can understand.”
“Huh?”
“Among the exclusive. There is a case when a hunter never goes to a certain dungeon. For example, Huang Ti Anyu from China.”
Huang Ti Anyu.
The exclusive contractors of the Origin Eater.
He was famous for his reluctance to go to the haunted dungeons. Because he was scared. He was the guardian of the S-Rank tutorial, but he couldn’t even watch horror movies because he’s scared.
Conversely, the popularity of the public was enormously amazing. Well, originally, the guardians were very popular.
“That’s right. The ghosts Origin Eater’s subordinates.”
He’s scared you say? He just didn’t touch the haunted dungeon because it was under Origin Eater’s jurisdiction.
“Then, the chaos hunters would have signed a contract with the watcher of abyss?”
“That’s not exactly the case.”
The justification for doing so in practice where resurrection is possible falls into the category of heavenly order.
“Hey, that’s shit.”
My friend makes the same judgments in abyss and heaven.
Now we’ve come to a conclusion. Given that we reached the same conclusion with one head, I guess it’s a term used when the two sides were poles apart with a case like this.
“I’m relieved anyway.”
“For what?”
Because the watchers of the abyss didn’t do anything stupid?
“Because you’re a bachelor.”
……This bastard?

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14
