Chapter 209: The Blurry Figure
The two Darksteel Centipedes had been blown into pieces, flying in every direction. However,Teng Yongfan, wide-eyed, was staring intensely at the rapid figure dashing towards him. The godly muscular figure in the midst of broken body parts, the reddened eyes, the familiar face…He was the son Teng Yongfan was the most proud of——Teng Qingshan.
“Qingshan!” Teng Yongfan shouted. Because of the explosion, his head felt slightly dizzy, but joy filled his heart.
He was seeing his son!
Teng Qingshan immediately held his father tightly in his arms. Father’s ragged attire was covered in blood, and many wounds were clearly visible through it. However, all this could not stifle the excitement in the bottom of his heart. Teng Qingshan had originally thought that his father had died, and was in utter despair and sorrow. But now, he’d found out that his father was still alive.
The moments of sadness and joy made Teng Qingshan unable to control his emotions.
“Father, Father!” Teng Qingshan couldn’t withhold his tears, his eyes welling up.
“Qingshan.” Teng Yongfan felt his heart leap.
He had watched Teng Qingshan grow up, and knew his son’s character distinctly. His son had been very strong ever since he was young, and he had never seen his son cry before. Teng Qingshan had been able to kill a pack of wolves at the age of ten. In his father’s eyes, Teng Qingshan was the strongest, bravest, and most fearless man!
But today……
He was seeing his son’s tears!
“Don’t cry.” Teng Yongfan had just opened his mouth, when he suddenly felt dizzy.
“Father.” Teng Qingshan realized that something was wrong with his father.
“The water here is icy cold.” The Innate True Origin immediately surged out from within Teng Qingshan’s body. A fiery-red Innate True Origin then permeated through the water forcefully and formed a protective covering that enveloped Teng Yongfan snugly.
“Bang!” The bottom of the pit quivered forcefully, and Teng Qingshan rocketed out of the pit.
The image in the Bottomless pPit was like a fire god. Teng Qingshan only borrowed force for four times before he flew out of the hundred-Zhang deep Bottomless Pit and descended on the grassland. Teng Qingshan then placed his father down carefully.
Teng Qingshan’s eyes swept past his father’s leg and saw that his father’s left leg was cut off at the thigh. Seeing that, Teng Qingshan’s facial expression changed drastically.
“Father’s leg!” The joyful surprise that Teng Qingshan had felt before instantly turned into sadness. Previously, Teng Qingshan had been in a hurry to save his father. Plus, Teng Yongfan’s chest had been above the water surface and his legs underwater, therefore, Teng Qingshan hadn’t seen that his father’s leg was gone. He’d finally noticed now.
Teng Yongfan opened his eyes and flashed a smile, “The sun shining on my body is so comfortable!”
It was afternoon now, and the sun was shining at its brightest in this time of the day. The winter sun felt so warm!
“Father has lost one leg. He has so many wounds on his body and severe blood loss as well! He must have escaped into the bottom of the Bottomless Pit sometime yesterday evening. The underground is icy cold. Father has lost large amounts of blood and he’s had nothing to eat…….” As a hitman in his previous life, Teng Qingshan did have some experience in first aid treatment. Father had so many wounds and even lost a leg.

Ordinary people would already be dead due to the excessive bleeding.
Father could survive, however, because he was physically strong.
“Father, eat.” Teng Qingshan immediately fished out the bun from within his bag and brought it to Teng Yongfan’s mouth.
“I am starving.” Teng Yongfan smiled and opened his mouth as he gobbled up the bun. Since the underground pit that Teng Yongfan had hid in was filled with water, he wasn’t thirsty. He was just hungry! After losing a large amount of blood, he was extremely hungry, to the point that he felt dizzy. He felt dizzy and weak.
Teng Yongfan finished two of the three buns in Teng Qingshan’s bag.
Seeing how his father ate the bun, Teng Qingshan felt sad.
Teng Yongfan laughed as he said, “Qingshan, look at you! You are even a commander of the Black Armored Army! Don’t worry. I, your father, is in good shape. I only feel thirty percent full after eating two buns! However, I’m a lot better. My head doesn’t feel dizzy anymore.” If someone lost too much blood, they would feel dizzy and physically weak.
This vitality and blood had to be replenished through food!
If one had abundant vitality and blood, those could be refined into inner strength. However, the inner strength could not be refined into vitality and blood. If there was an excessive loss of vitality and blood, it could only be replenished by eating! Eating food like chicken, duck, fish, grains, etc.
“Father, does your body have any other problems?” Teng Qingshan asked. “ It will heal quicker the earlier you cure it. This can’t be delayed.”
Teng Yongfan then pointed at his waist and said, “The knife wounds on my body are minor things. However, after my waist was severely knifed, I can’t feel anything below my waist. I can’t move at all. When my left leg was bitten off my the Darksteel Centipede, I didn’t feel any pain.” When Teng Qingshan heard this, his expression changed. “Paralyzed?” he thought as he quickly flipped Teng Yongfan over.
On his father’s back there was a horrific wound, a very deep wound.
“The spine is injured.” Teng Qingshan’s expression changed drastically.
It was an injury to the spine! Father was paralyzed!
This kind of injury could be healed through advanced medical technology in his previous life, but curing such injury in the great land of the Nine Prefectures was impossible.
“Paralyzed? Then so be it.” Without caring at all, Teng Yongfan smiled and said, “I’ve lost my leg already. There isn’t much of a difference.”
“Father.”
Teng Qingshan’s heart was in pain, hearing his father’s words. “Not much of a difference?”
There was a great difference! If it had only been one broken leg, a prosthetic leg could have been made with iron, and his father would still manage to stand and walk. However, if his father’s lower body was paralyzed, even living would be very hard for him in the future.
“It’s all my fault!” Teng Qingshan thought as bitterness filled his heart. “I originally wanted to let Father and Mother live a good life, but…..I must be the reason why Qing Hu Island especially called for Father and took him away.

“Qingshan, where is your Uncle Yongxiang’s body?”
Teng Yongfan looked around with anxiousness in his eyes.
“The men of Qing Hu Island burned it. The ashes must have been blown away by the wind,” Teng Qingshan said softly.
He had died, and not even his ashes were left of him now.
Teng Yongfan closed his eyes as tears streamed down his face.
“Qingshan, your uncle was a good brother. We grew up together.” Taking a deep breath, Teng Yongfan looked towards Teng Qingshan as he asked, “Is his Damascus Steel Spear here?”
“It’s in my bag.” Teng Qingshan took out the Damascus Steel Spear that was broke into two parts.
“This Damascus Steel Spear belongs to your Uncle Yongxiang.” Teng Yongfan stretched out his trembling hands and held the spear shaft. He then said with a deep voice, “When we are back, put the spearhead into the urn and put the urn in the ancestral hall.” Since they did not have Yongxiang’s ashes, they could only substitute with weapons and clothes he had used when he was alive.
Teng Qingshan nodded. “Father, wait.”
By relying on the Heavenly Hawk Claws, Teng Qingshan hacked some branches from within the forest and rapidly made a simple armchair.
“Father, sit still,” Teng Qingshan said, helping his father up on the chair.
Teng Qingshan then carried the entire armchair, almost two hundred Jin in weight. However, the weight was nothing to Teng Qingshan.
“Phew!”
Teng Qingshan performed the Qing Gong «Crossing Worlds» and speedily flew away like a gust of green smoke. Although Teng Qingshan was moving up and down in the forest, he was balancing his father’s chair with his hands, and Teng Yongfan, sitting on it, couldn’t feel any movements.
The reason why he used «Crossing Worlds» was because if he’d only used his physical strength, a strenuous vibration would affect his father.
……
Within one breath, Teng Qingshan dashed a distance of thirty Ji.
“Qingshan, the way you are going isn’t right. The way back to Teng Jia Village is not this one,” Teng Yongfan said.
“Father, I have already arranged for all the clan members to head towards Jiangning County City. From now on, the members of our Teng Clan will live in Jiangning County City.” Although Teng Qingshan was as fast as lightning, he still spoke without breathing heavily.
“Jiangning County City?” Teng Yongfan froze for a second, then let out a sigh, “Leaving the ancestral land……But it can be good too. Our clan members won’t have to be afraid in the future.
“Yes.” Teng Qingshan nodded.
Teng Yongfan sat on the chair as he felt the trees on both sides backing away rapidly, and an emotional thought flashed across his mind: With a son like this, what more could I ask for?
“Eh?” Teng Qingshan cast a glance in the distance and saw an unkempt man who looked like a wildman in the midst of the forest. The man was riding on an entirely black panther. The panther was actually eight Chi (two meters) high, and around one Zhang long. The black panther was roaming the forest while the wildman sat casually on its back.
“Black Cloud Panther?” Teng Qingshan said as he felt astonished.
Black Cloud Panther: An extremely powerful demonic beast from the south of the Desolate Land. When it matured, its ability could be compared to the ability of innate experts. A mature Black Cloud Panther had incredibly fast speed
“Who is it that can ride the Black Cloud Panther?” Teng Qingshan was secretly shocked.
The wildman looked towards Teng Qingshan with eyes filled with surprise.
“The news about Qing Hu Island’s digging for Emperor Yu’s Treasure must have drawn powerful experts here. Being someone who can ride the Black Cloud Panther, he must be an innate expert. And that wildman certainly doesn’t seem to be like any normal innate experts. However…..I should send Father to where oMther is first.” As Teng Qingshan had no wish to be entangled in this now, he increased his speed and went on a lot faster than before.
Phew!
Carrying his father, Teng Qingshan instantly disappeared from the wildman’s sight
“Eh?” Astonishment shone in the wildman’s eyes as he exclaimed, “Such fast speed! He can be this fast when carrying another person! Only ordinary True Dan innate experts probably possess such speed.”
……
“Creak..creak!” The sound of wheels rang out as the noisy two thousand people of Teng Jia Village were resting in a desolate land beside the main road. Everyone had departed early morning, and it was now afternoon. Yet, everyone had only gone a distance of fifty Li, since the people of Teng Jia Village were many, and all of them were traveling with families.
Even with the over one hundred Dark Veins Horses pulling, they could only advance a distance of eighty li per day, but this speed was already considered fast. It was all because most people of the Teng Jia Village were very healthy.
“Mother, just eat some.” Qingyu was beside a wooden cart. Her mother, Yuan Lan, was covered with a blanket as she lay on the cart.
“Mother doesn’t feel like eating.” Yuan Lan forced a smile as she said, “You eat the food yourself.”
Seeing Mother’s pale face, Qingyu felt very sad. She understood that her father’s death was like a fatal blow to mother.
“Qingyu, eat.” Yuan Lan looked at her daughter lovingly as she said, “Mother has been on this cart without moving at all. I am not hungry. You have been running for six hours, so you must be hungry.”
“Mother!” Qingyu said as her eyes reddened.
Since last night, Qingyu had been feeling very depressed.
“Qing..Qingyu!” Yuan Lan suddenly looked towards the west, wide-eyed, and astonishment filled her eyes. Seeing such an expression on her mother’s face, Qingyu hastily turned and looked west.
From afar, a blurry figure was rapidly drawing closer.
There seemed to be another figure ahead the blurry figure.
The two blurry figures made Yuan Lan widen her eyes in an attempt to see clearly.
