"Why would you apologize, Mr. Lee?" After a beat, Ethan Lu's eyes smiled. "If you're so willing to give me your shares — sure. Don't tell me I didn't warn you." Ethan Lu shrugged his shoulders indifferently.

"Alright, then its — " Amused that Ethan Lu wasn't also backing down, Zack Lee grinned. However, just before he could finish his sentence, he stopped as Ethan Lu began taking strides.

Everyone had their eyes on Ethan Lu's figure. Every step didn't falter as he came closer and closer to Lexi's figure.

Zack Lee blinked his eyes many times as he watched Ethan Lu approach Lexi. The next second, just when they thought Ethan Lu would stop in his tracks as he was a few steps away from Lexi — he didn't.

"Ah...?" Knitting her brows, Lexi watched Ethan Lu drew closer to her. Seeing him raise his arms, the next thing Lexi knew was his lips were already glued on hers.

Ethan Lu's arms slowly snaked around her waist while his other hand caressed her lean cheek. For a second, aside from the gasps around, everyone were speechless by his quick move.

The game hasn't even started and yet, Ethan Lu already made a move — an intimate one at that. Despite that Lexi and Ethan Lu had a history, everyone still consider about the recent scandal.

Not a single soul in that event that wasn't well-aware of the shocking news. The reason some people place their stake on Zack Lee.

"Wow..." Slowly clapping his hands, Zack Lee was in awe. As he clapped, Ethan Lu unhurriedly break his lips away from Lexi.

Meanwhile, Lexi who was already surprised — probably some kind of 'culture shock' — blinked her eyes several times. Raising her gaze, she met his gentle eyes as he gently smiled at her and tucked her hair lovingly behind her ear.

"Mr. Lu, that's unfair!" Unfazed by the 'points' Ethan Lu earned, Zack Lee shook his head as he clicked his tongue. "Miss Wang is watching and you have a history with Miss Yang!" He complained as if he was indirectly blaming Ethan Lu for cheating. Still, his tone was playful, which leave others to decide if he was mad or not.

Whenever Zack Lee mentions Laurel Wang's name, Laurel Wang could not help but flinch. She had tried to leave the premises since earlier, but people were blocking her way. Hence, the more Zack Lee drag her in this mess, the more she despises the man.

"Are you offended, Miss Wang?" Ethan Lu also turned his attention to Laurel Wang who now has the attention from everyone.

"Uh..." In an instant, Laurel Wang's lower lips trembled as she stared at Ethan Lu's pair of dark eyes. Just staring at it for a second, her complexion paled and her body unconsciously trembled.

As they wait for Laurel Wang to speak, Lexi noticed someone's gaze on her. Turning to it, Zack Lee winked at her the very second their eyes met.

'I got you,' Zack Lee mouthed before he stretched his lips from ear to ear. Lexi arched her brows as she read what his lips said.

'He got me? Huh?' Lexi didn't understand what he meant until Zack Lee spoke again. 'So, he really thinks I got cheated on? Ahh...' Lexi nodded in understanding. To her, she felt like these elites language were alien words to her.

It was just that, probably, the level of how they should be cunning, in the ground their stepping needed to be more vague. Lexi noticed that they had been circling around this discussion yet, aside from Zack Lee, no one spoke directly of what they wanted.

Even Diane Huang, she vented her displeasure by starting a bet with Zack Lee. In that case, if Diane Huang won, she would have millions from Zack Lee as a compensation for annoying her.

To Lexi, she hasn't reach their level, hence she was surprised at the environment her husband was moving on. So to speak, Ethan Lu had to deal with these types of people on a daily basis. Yet, he still was kind and gentle to her and the twins.

Just before this recent discovery, Lexi's perspective had broadened. She knew that her husband was at the top but she never truly comprehend what it was like standing at the highest ground.

"Mr. Lu, how can you be so heartless to Miss Wang? Aren't you together earlier? Ay, even Miss Yang saw you two!" Zack Lee exclaimed, sounding disheartened at the 'heartless' Ethan Lu.

"Together? Me and Miss Wang?" Furrowing his brows, Ethan Lu chuckled as he studied Laurel Wang's figure. "How can that be? I just arrived and came to find my date?"

Zack Lee grinned, amused that Ethan Lu was lying in front of everyone. Yet, Zack Lee's eyes didn't bear malice, but rather, he was in awe.

"Mr. Lee, are you sure it was me who you saw with Miss Wang?" Since Zack Lee just shrugged his shoulders, giving them the sarcastic 'okay, I believed you' expression, Ethan Lu asked.

"Or him?" Slowly, the corner of Ethan Lu's lips curled into a smirk as he pointed at a certain direction.

Automatically, everyone turned their gaze towards the direction he pointed at. To their surprise, the person standing somewhere among the crowd kinda looked like Ethan Lu.

Meanwhile, Laurel Wang's eyes widened as her heart sank. 'Why — why is he still here?' Her mind questioned, causing her entire body to shudder.

She already shooed the man away, even made sure he would leave. However, why was he still in there? That second, Laurel Wang shifted her shaking eyes to Ethan Lu.

As their eyes met, a glint flashed across his pair of dark eyes. Ethan Lu needed no words for Laurel Wang to understand that he just said 'checkmate'.

"Miss Wang, care to clear our name that I am not having an affair with you, but you're in an intimate relationship with someone else?" Pausing, Ethan Lu tilted his head to the side as he quickly glanced at the baffled Zack Lee.

Continuing, Ethan Lu moved his gaze to his look-alike, "He sort of looked like me. Thus, the misunderstanding."
