Chapter 447: To Lure a Snake Out of Its Hole. Commiting Murder in the Night

When Liu Gang’s squad heard Sun Lan’s voice again, they immediately let out a sigh of relief.
At the start, they had imagined the villa was under attack. If anything had really happened to Sun Lan and the others, Liu Gang’s squad wouldn’t be able to explain to Zhang Che.
From the looks of it, Premium House was probably broken into by some rioters, wanting to rob the store of its beast cards during the snow disaster.
Earlier in the day, disturbances of various scales had occurred at various places in Bei Du, too. Many unlawful people tried to break into beast card shops and material shops to steal things while the heavy snow was ongoing and officers were busy clearing the accumulated snow.
Unexpectedly, even Premium House was met with such a situation!
Didn’t those people know to ask around for information before making their moves? It was impossible for them to escape Bei Du, even if they stole the Premium House’s beast cards. That wasn’t the business of some common folk. Would they be such an easy target to steal from?
“What’s wrong, Auntie? Did something happen at Premium House?”
Due to her underwhelming strength, Huang Tielan was still a short distance away from the villa. As a result, she didn’t catch what Sun Lan said, and only heard something about Premium House.
Sun Lan came down from the upper story with an anxious look on her face, nodding and said, “Mmm, Muyun just called, saying rioters have broken into the store and were destroying the shelves and safe, trying to steal the beast cards.”
Huang Tielan’s face turned grave. She hurriedly asked, “Ah? Are they alright?”
Sun Lan shook her head slightly, replying, “They’re fine. The shop had just closed for the night. Muyun only heard about the matter after receiving a call from one of the staff who lived next to the store. Right, I already told them not to go to the shop, and that it’s fine if the things are lost. Just keep themselves safe.”
Huang TIelan sighed in relief. She nodded, “That’s right. What’s important is that they’re fine. We’ll retrieve what we lost sooner or later.”
After a short pause, she turned to Liu Gang’s squad and said, “Big Brother Liu, I’ll have to trouble you guys to make a trip over there.”

However, Liu Gang furrowed his brow slightly, saying, “This matter seems a little fishy… Then… Yi Chong, you make the trip. We’ll stay and look after the house.”
Yi Chong nodded silently. His figure shook, disappearing from the villa’s main hall. Shortly after, the rumbling of an engine came from the courtyard.
Although there was still some snow on the road to the store, it wasn’t a problem for the beastly cars Zhang Che had bought at all.
——
In the villa, Liu Gang let out a low groan and explained to Huang Tielan and Sun Lan after seeing their confused expressions, “Young Miss, I suspect this matter isn’t that simple.
“After the many disturbances caused during the day, the streets in Bei Du are being patrolled by military officers everywhere. No matter how daring those rioters are, they wouldn’t dare break into shops so casually.
“So, I’m suspecting that someone wanted to target the villa and has purposefully caused trouble at the shop, trying to lure us over. If that really is true, it would be troublesome if an expert attacked here after we had left.”
After listening to Liu Gang’s analysis, Huang Tielan finally nodded in understanding.
Indeed, Zhang Che had made quite a few enemies of his own. If this really was a trap set by someone who had designs against him, the villa would be unprotected if it came under attack after Liu Gang’s squad went to back up Premium House.
If they only sent Yi Chong over, in addition to leaving the two epic-quality beast cards here with Liu Gang and Pang Dazhi, their combat force wouldn’t be affected much. They didn’t have to be scared even if a high-tier beastmaster attacked them.
On the side of Premium House, if it truly was mere rioters causing trouble, a high-tier beastmaster with legend-quality subdued beasts like Yi Chong would be more than enough to handle the situation.
After understanding this, Huang Tielan nodded and said, “That’s fine. Although the possibility isn’t high, we still have to be careful.”
A look of worry was on Sun Lan’s face after hearing the two’s conversation.
She had never seen Liu Gang’s squad fight before. She only knew that they were high-tier beastmasters, and was thus worried it’d be a troublesome situation if someone really came to attack them.
Seeing her worried face, Liu Gang smiled faintly and said, “Madam Sun, Young Miss, you go rest. With us two here, we’ll make sure there won’t be any danger.”

“I’m counting on you then, Xiaoliu!” Sun Lan nodded at Liu Gang and Pang Dazhi gratefully. Accompanied by Huang Tielan, she returned to the upper story, her heart troubled, unable to fall asleep.
Down on the lower story, Liu Gang and Pang Dazhi exchanged knowing glances with one another and nodded, then walked out of the hall. Each of them were responsible for standing guard in a direction, ready to summon their powerful subdued beasts at any time to receive enemies.
—–
Yi Chong drove the beastly car, charging straight ahead. The fallen snow was raised by the wheels. About twenty minutes later, he entered the district where Premium House was located.
After getting out of the car, Yi Chong ran straight towards the shop. From a distance away, he saw the Premium House’s gate was wide open in the light of the yellow street lights. The counter was pushed down, a few silhouettes had broken through the wall on the other side and ran out, heading for the alley in the back.
Evidently, they left someone outside to act as the lookout. They quickly made their escape once Yi Chong’s arrival was noted.
“Damn it!” Yi Chong cursed out. A cold glint shone in his eyes as he chased after the few silhouettes.
He didn’t summon his flying subdued beast out casually. In these complicated alleyways, flying subdued beasts were too big, and would make it difficult to catch up to his targets instead.
Alas, he was a step too late. After chasing down a few alleys, Yi Chong lost track of those thieves.
It was obvious that they came prepared, even having planned their escape route in advance, leaving him unable to catch up to them.
“Shit, is this really a trick to lure us away?” Done thinking, Yi Chong’s complexion darkened. He immediately returned to the streets, ready to drive back to the villa.
As for the beast cards Premium House lost, he wasn’t afraid that they could take them away. The Huang family have probably learned about this matter now, and many experts should be on their way to provide backup.
However, when Yi Chong came back to the main street, he discovered the beastly car’s tires were damaged, and he could not drive it.
Seeing this, Yi Chong’s expression turned even darker. The beastly car’s body and tires were all made with special materials. Even mid-tier gold-quality exotic beasts would take quite some time to damage them! Even so, Yi Chong had only given chase for a few minutes, and the car was already damaged to the extent that it was impossible for them not to be intentionally delaying his return to the villa.
With a grave expression, Yi Chong grit his teeth and ignored the ban on flying in the city. He directly summoned his flying subdued beast and flipped himself up onto it, speeding off in the villa’s direction.
“Hopefully I can still make it back in time!”
—–
At the same time, Huang Juyun, who had received news about the matter some time ago, was flying on the Poison-Fire Twin-Headed Dragon from the military, heading straight for the villa district.
After receiving Liu Gang’s report, he immediately agreed with Liu Gang’s analysis. Someone was unresigned with their grudge against Zhang Che and the Huang family, and wanted to take action against them by getting ahold of Sun Lan and Huang Tielan. Not only that, perhaps they might even kill the hostages to vent their anger and exact revenge.
As such, Huang Juyun directly rode the Poison-Fire Twin-Headed Dragon and flew straight towards the villa. Not only that, a team of elite soldiers were on the ground in a military vehicle, following after him.
Meanwhile, there was also a team of elite soldiers in another military vehicle, driving towards Premium House.
Although the enemy’s objective was to lure Liu Gang’s squad away, it was best to not lose the Premium House’s massive amount of beast cards if they could retrieve them.
“Don’t let me find out who’s the one behind all this. Otherwise, I’ll definitely let them know our Huang family isn’t something anyone can afford to find trouble with, even though we aren’t a top clan in Bei Du!” Huang Juyun’s expression was grave. Killing intent so strong that it seemed like it had actual substance was coming from his eyes, his whole body giving off a terrifying aura.
——
Outside the villa, Liu Gang and Pang Dazhi were waiting quietly with no discernible expressions on their faces.
They were hoping that this matter was only them thinking too much.
Of course, if someone really dared to come to the villa, they had no fear, either. They still had the two epic-quality beast cards Zhang Che had left for them.
After a few minutes, their ears suddenly twitched, and their eyes narrowed…

Meeting myself
Canceled (This was my first attempt at a story and while I really enjoyed it, I lost track of the thread of the story. The MC was too op, and except for some fun slice of life moments it just wasn't a very good plot. Anyway, I may come back and re-write this in the future because I really enjoyed the premise, but for now don't expect updates.)I've never met Karma; or at least I think I haven't. Hope, really, because I'm pretty sure she hates me. You see, the thing is, I've always hated flying. When you don't wind up getting molested (cavity searched), then your bags get lost, or you spend the entire flight sitting next to a crying baby. This flight was even worse than any of those things. You see, this flight killed me. I won't spoil it, but lets just say, Karma owes me a few explanations. NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE, deserves to die like that. Of course, that wasn't the end of my adventure, far from it. But, you'll just have to read the story to learn about that.(This is a mature fiction, so far their hasn't been anything overtly bad (some minor sexual innuendo and drug use), but their will be plenty of blood, gore, sex, all that good stuff... eventually)
