“Just look at you!” Zhang Che nearly burst out in laughter seeing the pitiful look on the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon’s face.
He shifted his gaze to the scarlet sword in front of him, his eyes filled with joy.
Although the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon didn’t try to dodge the scarlet sword’s slash earlier, and he didn’t gather the abyssal cold aura in his body to resist it, it was undeniable that the scarlet sword had gained the ability to slay mid-tier legend-quality beasts.
Zhang Che was confident that as long as he was within a hundred meters of any legend-quality exotic beasts, with his superb control of the sword and the sword’s speed, there shouldn’t be any beasts that could avoid their attacks.
Well, space-attributed exotic beasts might be an exception…
However, space-attributed exotic beasts were extremely rare. Were they found so easily?
Zhang Che knew that up until today, he had only met one of them, the Four-Winged White Tiger he ran into when he was tricked by the Miyazaki Clan.
Not only that, space-attribute was only the sub-attribute of the white tiger. Its main attribute was mental-attribute. As such, its space-attribute didn’t prove to be very useful, only giving it the ability to perform micro-instantaneous movements.
If it was the type of space-attributed exotic beasts which could teleport long distances, it could be imagined how terrifying their survivability was. Unless you were far stronger than them, it was impossible to slay the beast.
Shoo! With a thought, Zhang Che recalled the scarlet sword into his spiritual sea. Immediately, a white streak of light shot out from the same place.
The scarlet sword had innate fire elemental attacks. In that case, the white sword should have innate ice elemental attacks, right?
Alas, he didn’t have a target to experiment on. Zhang Che could only make guesses for now.
Earlier, he didn’t know how powerful the scarlet sword was, and nearly wounded the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon gravely. Now that he understood how terrifying it was, Zhang Che naturally wouldn’t test it on his babies again.

Although he wouldn’t have killed them directly, he couldn’t bear to hurt them when he saw their pitiful faces.
-Forget it. A merciful master like me shouldn’t always hurt my own babies.-
As if he sensed what Zhang Che was thinking, the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon’s immediately revealed a hint of disdain in his sapphire eyes.* -You can be called freaking merciful? I was almost done in by you, alright?!-*
“Tsk, what’s with that look in your eye?” Zhang Che glared at the dragon. Afterwards, he jumped up onto his pet’s back, pointing in the direction where the giant stone man was, and he commanded mightily, “Come, we’ll go find and exact our revenge on that lump of stone!”
Although it was getting late, and it was impossible for them to reach the area where the giant stone man was in the day, Zhang Che couldn’t wait any longer.
At the very least, he had to find a legend-quality or a high-tier dark gold-quality exotic beast to test the blade… or rather, to see how strong the two reborn anew swords had become!
Without testing them in actual combat, Zhang Che didn’t feel confident at all.
Zhang Che became more daring now that his equipment had upgraded. He had the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon fly at a thousand meters in the air, speeding in the predetermined direction as he looked out for any situation in the mountains below.
Afterwards, Zhang Che commanded the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon to descend whenever he spotted any exotic beasts which he thought were passable. Once they were within a hundred meters, Zhang Che would direct a streak of light, cutting them up.
As such, the decent exotic beasts in the mountain range were in for some tragic times…
—
During their travels, none of the beasts Zhang Che set his eyes on were able to withstand more than a single slash.
Only a single streak of sword light would flash every time, and the exotic beasts below would fall, contributing beast card after beast card to Zhang Che.

He was ecstatic! It was simply like picking up money, and couldn’t get any easier.
In the past, he would have to go down and have his babies fight a few rounds with the exotic beasts. Now, he didn’t even have to waste an ounce of his strength. Any beasts he laid his eyes on would be easily slain with a single slash.
The Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon flew over a thousand kilometers, and Zhang Che collected about over thirty gold or dark gold-quality beast cards in total!
At present, only low-tier dark gold-quality or mid-tier gold-quality and above exotic beasts would interest him. With that, he could guarantee every exotic beast he hunted would drop a beast card!
Zhang Che wasn’t confident in his pathetic luck at all if he had to depend on chance. Therefore, he didn’t bother himself with those low-tier trash exotic beasts.
The sky gradually darkened.
“Is my luck for today all used up? I flew over a thousand kilometers in this direction, and yet I did not come across a single legend-quality exotic beast?”
Zhang Che creased his brow slightly.
Without testing the swords on a legend-quality exotic beast, Zhang Che couldn’t rest assured, after all.
The giant stone man was an epic-quality exotic beast! It wouldn’t be an easy hunt.
Since that fellow’s False Domain was a gravity field, the effects on his babies’ strength would simply be too great.
Zhang Che only had one chance.
If the two swords weren’t able to slay the giant stone man right away, being within a hundred meters of such a ferocious beast would be akin to him dancing on the edge of a blade. Any slight carelessness would lead to his death.
At that moment, a long narrow ravine whose end couldn’t be seen suddenly appeared ahead in his sight.
Zhang Che thought to himself, -I’ll go take a look in this ravine. If there’s no legend-quality exotic beast, then that’s that for today.-
The Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon quickly swooped down , carrying Zhang Che on his back, flying just above the ravine. After slowing down slightly, they descended further into the large ravine, tall cliffs now rising on both sides.
The skies above the ravine were shrouded in fog; they couldn’t tell the situation below when flying above. Zhang Che could only have the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon fly at a controlled speed. They flew through the layer of fog, advancing through the ravine at only about a hundred meters above ground.
For safety’s sake, Zhang Che summoned the Purple Crystal Tortoise and had it turn into armor, covering him.
If they came across any powerful exotic beasts here, wearing the Purple Crystal Armor would ensure that Zhang Che wouldn’t receive any overly severe injuries if they were caught unprepared. Only then would there be a chance for them to escape if they wanted to.
After entering the ravine, before they flew another thousand meters, Zhang Che was pleasantly surprised to find that there was indeed a legend-quality exotic beast here!

You Are The Gods.
You read the title right, YOU are a God within this story. In fact, every single reader of the story is a God. Many stories like to take the path that there are Gods that watch over the characters of the story, helping them or hurting them as the characters progress. What if, the readers of this story are the Gods that are watching the Main Characters? What if the readers could accrue points by reading that they could spend to help the main character, hurt the main character, or to even create new characters, dungeons, and scenarios? That is what I aim to create! I am trying to get the community involved in creating a reality that the readers themselves can directly influence! If you have any interest in this at all, I implore you to read the intro chapter called 'The Tutorial' and join everyone else on many interesting stories on Planet Earth and what it is to become! Volume 1 is where you can find how the system works, and the various things within the system! Volume 2 is the actual story and invasions itself.
