My Extraordinary Achievement Chapter 92 – Doubts on Life
Translator: Dragon Boat Translation Editor: Dragon Boat Translation
“Let me tell you a joke.”
Meng Fan put on slippers and entered, taking the bowl of instant noodles from Meng Cai Wei, which only had soup left in it. He didn’t want to eat it but was afraid she would spill it and make him clean it up.
“There once was a child named Xiao Ming Hahahahahah —” Meng Fan began laughing halfway through the sentence.
“What’s wrong with Xiao Ming, hahaha keep going hahahaha!”
“Xiao Ming. Hahhahaha, don’t you think the name Xiao Ming is hilarious in its own right? hahahaha.”
“Are you crazy? Hahaha, are you going to tell me the joke or not? Hahaha if not, get out!”
“The name Xiao Ming, hahaha.”
“Hahaha stop, stop, you’re making my stomach hurt from laughing. Hahhaha. I am sick, haha are you stupid? Hahaha, you tell a joke and laugh before others do? Hahaha, stop haha! Please stop. Hahaha, stop laughing! I’m about to get abs, ahahahaha. Meng Fan are you doing this on purpose? Hahaha, it took me so long to get fat and now you want me to thin down from laughing? Hahahaha—I have to eat at least two more buckets of cup noodles at this rate hahahahaha, cup noodles? Why are cup noodles so funny am I going crazy hahaha—”
Meng Fan had already stopped laughing, but Meng Cai Wei seemed like a car that couldn’t break, laughing until she was shaking and her face was red. It was unclear if she had opened the door to endless laughter, or it was just a side effect from Meng Fan’s smile appeal.
It had affected Meng Cai Wei to the point of questioning life itself, and it surprised Meng Fan. It was indeed poison!
Even if he didn’t smile, hearing Meng Cai Wei’s laughter made him inexplicably happier. Best to keep laughing. Meng Fan didn’t stop her, dropping off the instant noodles in the kitchen before humming a tune as he headed for the shower.
After showering, Meng Cai Wei was still twitching.
Meng Fan couldn’t help but be happy, a smile forming at the corner of his lips.
“Don’t laugh—”
At this time, Meng Fan’s mouth opening seemed like it was a slow-motion film in the eyes of Meng Cai Wei. Immediately she yelled, but Meng Fan’s smile had already reached a certain point. Then… Meng Cai Wei’s huffing sped up, bellowing out in laughter. “Hahaha, Meng Fan get the hell away from me, hahaha get out of my sight! Hahaha, you’re really poisonous, hahaha—”

Meng Fan didn’t want to trigger Meng Cai Wei even more. In case she actually gained abs from laughing, he couldn’t tell what steps for revenge she would take on him. It was terrifying just thinking about being forced to eat an entire box of instant noodles.
Sigh.
Meng Fan suddenly felt envious of Meng Cai Wei, for she was able to be influenced by his smile. If he could be infected by his own laughter without a discount, how great would that be? Everyday he could just face the mirror and laugh to lose weight!
Returning to the room reserved for him, Meng Fan faced the mirror and laughed stupidly. It was definitely contagious and after all, his mood lightened up when he saw himself, but only the effect wasn’t obvious. It didn’t make Meng Fan laugh uncontrollably, and the longer he laughed, the dumber he felt.
If his own smile appeal wasn’t compromised, it would neglect his thoughts of bursting into stupid laughter.
Lying on the bed, Meng Fan noticed the duvet, bedsheets, and pillows all had the scent of sunlight. Evidently, they had just been replaced today.
“Sis.”
Meng Fan got up and opened the door, then probed his face into the living room where Meng Cai Wei had stopped laughing but still twitching. “Long time no see, want to chat?”
“Get lost!”
Meng Cai Wei grabbed a cushion and hurled it at Meng Fan.
Thump.
Meng Fan hurriedly closed the door. ‘How did she get aggressive just from laughing?’
He thought about it and then opened the door again. “Uhm, I promise to not make you laugh!”
Thump.
Another cushion came flying.
“Are we not trusting anyone anymore?!”
Meng Fan opened the door and stepped out again, thinking he could just smile at her since she didn’t trust him anyways. Meng Fan did not expect when he opened the door, but to see another cushion flying into his room from Meng Cai Wei’s direction as she stood up. Thump. He closed his door. She wasn’t giving him a chance!
“Fine.”
Meng Fan was helpless but very bored. He looked around and discovered some drawing paper and began to draw, finishing the novel illustrations he owed.
Buzz.
He drew for two minutes before a WeChat message from Mr.Sleepy alerted his phone.

“Sorry, sorry. I’ve been busy writing and didn’t see my phone, I just got your message.”
This excuse… Meng Fan chuckled. Everyone knows where he was. If he was really writing, Meng Fan could tolerate it, but he didn’t even touch the manuscripts, alright…
“Heh,” Meng Fan responded. He then found a photo from his phone and sent it.
It wasn’t the selfie Meng Fan took with him, but a photo of Mr.Sleepy after he entered the venue. He looked like a grandma visiting the Grand View garden for the first time. Meng Fan couldn’t resist but to snap a shot with his invisible stream assistant.
“F*ck how did you know?” Across the line, Mr. Sleepy felt guilty over him.
Meng Fan still only responded with a hehe, and continued to draw without saying anymore.
All the contents for ‘There’s a Spirit Underground’ that needed to be illustrated were already in his mind, so it would only take him two hours to complete the ten required. Originally, he debated if he should give a few more to compensate for being late, but dropped the idea. His procrastination was nothing compared to Mr.Sleepy’s procrastinating tendencies.
He stood up and took a break. Just then, a message from Wu Tong came in. He lay slanted in bed and began chatting. Until an hour or so later, when Wu Tong said goodnight. After she logged off, Meng Fan resumed his drawing.
He continued for a while before hearing a commotion from outside and stepped into the living room.
“You stay away!”
Meng Cai Wei who had been cooking in the kitchen glared at Meng Fan.
“Sis, can’t you just give me some?!” Meng Fan poked his head in and asked ‘cutely’.
Meng Cai Wei whose biggest joy in life had been feeding Meng Fan hesitated for a good three seconds before she ushered. “Uhm, I’ll make more and you can come to eat it yourself when it’s ready. For now, stay away from me!”
She was really scared of laughing!
Meng Cai Wei was also baffled. Could it be she’d been home too long without laughing?
It seems like she should arrange some more work.
Even if the company was mindful of her figure, she could care less. After all, the crew hadn’t specified her weight gain and should be kept a secret.
Besides, it was only a dozen pounds. It didn’t affect her face value, right?
“Alright, call me when you’re done.”
Meng Fan was powerless and returned to his room, drawing while he waited.
He warned himself to tread lightly before making people laugh, for it could really affect his relationships!
Sleeping at around 2 am, Meng Fan still woke up at 5 am the next day. Twisting and turning, he couldn’t sleep, so he put on his hat and ran ten kilometers around the neighborhood. After he showered, he found it much easier to sleep.
Before he didn’t believe it, but now he did. One day without running was very uncomfortable!
“Get up do you know what time it is, how are you still snoozing?!”
After a night, Meng Cai Wei’s mood had stabilized a lot. She knocked on his door. When Meng Fan came out, there was already a table of food that awaited.
Meng Cai Wei’s cooking was first-rate. After all, feeding Meng Fan was her number one joy in life. Professional skills are a must!
“Who can eat all this early in the morning?!”
Meng Fan was stunned by Meng Cai Wei’s exaggerated weight gain and curiously asked, “It’s so easy for you to gain weight, but what if you can’t lose it?”
“You think I’m you? This little amount of fat will come off easily!” Meng Cai Wei gave a side-eye to Meng Fan.
“Do you really have no idea why I can’t lose it?”
Meng Fan felt his counterattack was slightly too weak, so he could only face her and smile. Who cares about interpersonal relationships, it was nothing in the face of their sibling bond!
As a result, Meng Cai Wei screamed and drove Meng Fan out as she laughed.
After Meng Fan was ejected out, Meng Cai Wei gave her manager a call. “Hurry up and get me some work, I’m about to go crazy staying at home!”
