Chapter 1948: Three Assassins
“Let’s fight, my people! The child of the king of the high mountains, Thargas, will definitely bring you victory!” the Dwarf leader called out in a loud voice.
Actually, if they were going according to inheritance rules, instating Thargas Anvilmar as the new Dwarven king could possibly give the Three Hammer Dwarfs even more glory. The civil war had completely spent their energy.
Among this group of Dwarves, Thargas had incomparable prestige. With him to inspire them, they rode on their War Rams without any fear, rushing towards their degenerate kinsmen.
The origins of this race weren’t like that of the Trolls and Elves, who were indigenous inhabitants, nor were they like those alien Draenei.
The Dwarves were created from rocks by the powerful Titans in the cradle of the world’s civilization.
This race seemed to always be as firm and tenacious as a rock. Regardless of whether it was the ‘good guys’ who led and inspired in battle, or those who had been seduced by those Twilight followers, they were all like rocks, striking against one another.
Lu Li faced by himself the attack of three Dark Iron dwarves. Their giant hammers wanted to smash Lu Li into mincemeat.
When facing this sort of enemy, Lu Li really wished he was a master Mage.
Even if the Dwarves’ magic resistance was high, a Mage would do a cleaner job than a Thief jabbing with a little knife.
“Snowy, come over. Let’s work together.”
Water Fairy’s situation wasn’t much better than his, so he called her over, planning for the two of them to watch out for each other.
Dying was equivalent to failing the quest.
As such, they had to protect their own lives, nor could they be discovered by the NPCs here that they were shirking away.
The two of them coordinated together to attack, alleviating the pressure on each other.

Of the three Dark Iron Dwarves, two had been controlled and one was surrounded. In an instant, they were finished off, and then there was a new target.
“You two, stop wasting your time with those useless things!”
Just when Lu Li and Water Fairy were fighting, they suddenly heard Valeera Sanguinar call for them.
“Do you have some advice?” Lu Li asked.
“Let’s work with Gorosh to kill their commander – that Argelmach. If you’re not afraid to die, then let’s go together,” Valeera Sanguinar said.
Water Fairy immediately followed.
His own partner had gone, so he naturally couldn’t stay back. He followed along behind her in Stealth. As they rushed ahead amidst the chaos of war, they soon stood by Gorosh’s side.
With the cooperation of the big bear druid, Gorosh had already killed his way to his opponent’s commander.
Argelmach was the puppet leader of Blackrock Abyss. It was said that he harbored within him the desire for immortality, making a magic double of himself with his appearance. A story went that he even used various types of dark magic. When this puppet leader’s flesh and bone was destroyed, his new creation would become the vessel for his soul.
The one who was in front of everyone’s eyes was evidently the body of his flesh and bone.
Gorosh finally engaged in combat with Argelmach. To begin with, he should have had the advantage. It was only by the help of all the Dark Iron Dwarves around Argelmach that he was able to keep on going. Argelmach just needed to wait for more Dark Iron Dwarves to come over to help. Then, he would be able to kill this damned human.
The three Thieves each took their places, waiting for an opportunity.
Thieves were like assassins in other games. They were experts at hiding and killing; it wasn’t just stealing things that was the specialty of this role.

“Now! Judge for yourself how and when best to attack!” Valeera Sanguinar shouted as she rushed forward first. Her target was Argelmach’s eye, but she met with his arm that he raised up to block the strike.
Lu Li attacked at the same time as her, focusing on Argelmach’s other underarm.
Feeling that a new attack was coming, Argelmach tried to use his arm to pinch out a dagger. Regardless of whether he was actively doing it, or if he was doing it subconsciously, Lu Li could be considered to have finished his job in the battle.
Water Fairy’s attack target was Argelmach’s temple, but her aim was really more to be a distraction.
The real fatal attack wasn’t from them; it was from Garosh.
Using the situation that the three Thieves had created, Garosh kept moving from left to right, fiercely chopping at the back of Argelmach’s neck.
One attack was sure to kill!
Only an NPC could do this to another NPC. No matter how Lu Li and Water Fairy attacked, the Boss’ HP would only drop by a fraction.
They were happy to be in a supporting role, creating chances for Garosh and Valeera Sanguinar.
Argelmach simply couldn’t wait long enough for support and was promptly slain.
One of three Bosses had been finished off.
The four of them began to face the frantic counterattack of the Dark Iron Dwarves. After all, Argelmach was the leader of their pack, so since he had died so easily, it was an embarrassment to them.
“I am here! You all go off somewhere else!” Gorosh roared fiercely as he sliced an Iron Dwarf’s body from head to toe, before stepping through the fountain of blood to cut down three more Dwarves standing behind.
Broll Bearmantle could not only turn into a bear, but could also turn into a small sapling that heal Gorosh. The three assassins simply didn’t have any room to show off their talents.
“Follow me!”
Valeera Sanguinar was extremely pleased with Lu Li and Water Fairy’s performance just then, and brought them to keep searching for opportunities.
Apart from gaining lots of Reputation, Lu Li and Water Fairy also received some impressive equipment. Just then, Argelmach had dropped a level 70 Epic equipment Mold.
In the Blackrock Abyss, he dropped level 60 equipment, but here, he had dropped a level 70 item.
How considerate!
“Retreat!” came a roar, gaining the attention of the three assassins.
As soon as they heard the voice, they rushed over, and realized that the child of the king of the high mountains was urging his warriors in retreat. It wasn’t that he had the upper hand and wanted to find someone to pick a fight with, but that the strange tactics of High Interrogator Gerstahn had already killed quite a few of Thargas’ warriors.
Thargas couldn’t hold it in at all, and decided to rush on up ahead to deal decisively their opponent.
The High Interrogator Gerstahn was a magic user, but she wasn’t afraid of being besieged at all. She held in her hand an Enthralled Sphere. In the hands of a player, this plaything was a piece of equipment, but in the hands of Gerstahn, it became a powerful tool that could control her opponent.
Moreover, she could still use an AoE Fear. Warriors that got close to her would be like headless flies against this magic, only being able to run around randomly before being killed or controlled by her.

A New Leaf
When people mention fantasy games and RPGs, they usually think of goblins, elves, orcs, dwarves and magic (apart from the percentage that gets an image of an anti-tank weapon in their mind, I will respectfully put those individuals aside for now). But what if you get neither of those (not even the weapon, I know, sad)? And what if you end up playing as something that doesn't look like an animal at all? And what if the said game you were playing weren't actually a game, but real life changed by irresponsible, beyond-mortal beings? Follow the (mis)adventures of "player" 13241, a.k.a. Treant, as he experiences what it's like to be a walking magical fruit maker (among other things). When the world goes to hell and back, plants are the ones that remain, right?

But happiness is a difficult-to-reach goal, and as he lies in a pool of his own blood, his fist cracked, a young lady crying while cradling his head, he remembers what really gave sense to his youth. Pure Unadulterated Violence The Pugilist wants to be a different take on isekai shenanigans. What would happen if instead of a moronic idiot, a depressed high schooler, or a wannabe hero the one to get his do-over is a fully grown man that has already seen what life has to offer in full? Someone who conformed himself to society, but has always craved something different? In a journey of self-discovery, academy building, god-slaying, and absolutely no harem we follow someone driven by logic, experience, and a smokey goal: to fuck shit up, have fun while doing so, and maybe resume his career as a professor for those strange, magic-wielding, unstable youths that seems to never get enough of his presence. Guys, a few notes, first of all, this is my first time writing long-form fiction. I have a background in psychology, and my main income comes from writing dreary financial articles on SEO blogs. But after a bad break-up, and finding myself falling asleep only while thinking of deus ex machina for stories on this site (and for APGTE) I decided to try my hand at this web series thingy. I'm confident in my grammar, but that's it. Everything else will be a first time, and as such any constructive criticism is encouraged and gratefully accepted. Now, on the story. Romance will be introduced once my little heart is mended, if you are scared of LGBT you may be turned off by the fact that I plan to have no taboo of any kind in my universe, but I won't ever write detailed sex scenes for any characters so don't worry too much. The litRPG part is very light and will take place later in the novel, but it's a key component nonetheless, for world-building and storyline reasons. I already have everything big planned out, so I won't drop it outta nowhere, and I hope you won't find too many flaws in how things pan out. I plan to make The Pugilist an interactive story, with secondary characters created by my audience and introduced after tweaks and careful planning. The main reason I'm writing this is that I want to build a community for myself in this time of isolation. I discovered that exercising, playing the piano or video games means jack-shit when you are utterly miserable, so I hope to give some value to my readers in exchange for praise, fame, money, and companionship. I give full props to anyone who has read this whole mess of a synopsis: I hope to not disappoint too much, now let's write some more steaming garbage that will be in dire need of editing later on.

A dark void appeared in front of him, but only to disappear once again. Voices entered his thoughts, pain struck his head, he gripped onto his hair and groaned in agony. He looked forward and saw an image blurred in front of him, fading in and out. “Young one... “ the blurred image simply spoke. The young boy didn’t say anything and only looked down at his wound on his chest. It was a large gaping hole that passed through him, however there was no blood spilling out from it, the veins and arteries only dangled in place where a heart was supposed to be. Realising the cause of this scene the boy asked. “Am… I dead?” “Hahaha, no not at all.” A wispy tired voice simply chuckled “Then… what do you want with a dead man… but my hands...boy?” “ Well Do you…” “Do I?” “Want to change fate?” Welcomed edits and suggestions.
