The Great Thief Chapter 1914

Chapter 1914: Kill How Many Times?
As expected, the Thief emerged when the female Thief’s equipment was being looted.
This group had cooperated countless times and had waited for this moment. At a time like this, they all needed to concentrate fire and attack the Thief. They could then receive a second piece of equipment. Masters like these often dropped equipment that was worth more than what they could earn in a single Instance Dungeon run.
Yet, a shocking scene unfolded right before their eyes.
The person in charge of picking up the equipment didn’t even have any room to fight back before being killed. Not only was the equipment of the female Thief taken from the ground, but so was the newly dropped one.
Throughout the whole process of this happening, not only did the male Thief have time to kill someone picking up equipment, but also give a cold hard glance towards their direction.
The head of the Sea Dragon Mercenary Regiment, Tea Smoothie, suddenly realised he had kicked the iron plate.
That ghost-like Thief disappeared in a flash. He was even more sure of the fact that this was no ordinary master.
“Friend, this is in fact a misunderstanding. We are willing to pay for your loss,” Tea Smoothie said. He could no longer manage to save his face.
It was dead silence all around, with only the sound of skills striking the body of
Ruul the Darkener.
Under this quiet siege of the dozen or so people, it was killed very quickly.
Nobody replied; it was if those two Thieves didn’t even exist in the first place.
“Look…” someone said as they pointed in one direction.
Everyone’s glances shifted over but found nothing. The spot where the female Thief had just fallen had a tombstone over it, which meant that she was lurking around nearby.

For the sake of looking nice, Dawn made it so players couldn’t see the corpse after death.
The appearance of a small tombstone marked the resurrection of a body. It meant that someone had died there once. If one was interested, they could read some humorous epitaphs on it.
A flash went past. The female Thief was an ordinary player either.
And what were Lu Li and Water Fairy doing?
Hugging!
Water Fairy had just been resurrected and felt herself being held. As hugging wasn’t categorised as an attack movement, the System determined that they were able to maintain Stealth.
Lu Li thought back to before when Water Fairy fell into his arms and the fear she had. Only a hug could appease his hurt soul. As for this group of people…
With his current position, he had no need to deal with problems like this himself.
“You done hugging? I’m gonna go take revenge.”
Lu Li didn’t plan to go bet his life on it, while Water Fairy was eager to take revenge. Lu Li had just remembered that Water Fairy was actually a very vengeful woman. It was her style to block her enemy in their safe area so that they couldn’t come out.
“I’ve already notified some people. How about let’s wait for a bit?”
Lu Li didn’t want Water Fairy to take risks, even if they were in a game.
“What are you afraid for? If you’re not gonna go, I’m gonna go first.”
Water Fairy had already broken away from Lu Li and was moving towards the group of people that wanted to leave. Because there were monsters everywhere in Dragonmaw Stronghold, it wasn’t easy for so many people to return to the city, so their plan was to first escape here.
Water Fairy left first, but the first one to move was Lu Li. He couldn’t let his own woman think of himself as cowardly.

Hence, a Mage walking on the outskirts suddenly got Sapped.
Before he could use his skill to release the control, he was attacked and killed.
Back when Lu Li first entered the game, he relied on his personal skill being above others.
Now, he had Epic equipment from head to toe. He wasn’t as superior as when he was at level 60, but in the early days of the level 70s, a majority of players were still fighting for level 70 Dark Gold equipment. Even Tea Smoothie and the others in the Sea Dragon Mercenary Regiment who were becoming illegally wealthy through raiding homes still had a mixture Gold and Dark Gold equipment. Only a small minority of people had Epic equipment.
Just relying on equipment alone, Lu Li could steamroll through them. Moreover, the last thing that Lu Li lacked in was technique.
Lu Li killed a Mage on his side, prompting the Sea Dragon Mercenary Group to frantically cast their spells to save the situation. At the same time, Water Fairy had also taken the chance to make a move. Her equipment was not lesser, and could even be considered better than Lu Li’s. There was a minor difference in their technique, not that it could be displayed against these people.
There was no need for any communication. The third target was met with their joint attack after being Cheap-Shot.
The team leader, Tea Smoothie, had completely given up hope. Now, he had become more and more regretful. Why did he provoke these two Thieves in the first place? He, as a proud mercenary regiment leader, had already apologised in a lowly manner and said that this was all a misunderstanding. Yet, the opposition was still not leaving him alone.
“Defense formation! Plate Armor players, stand on the outside! Ranged players, standby to attack!”
They had committed many atrocities and had a wealth of battle experience. They didn’t need to be taught how to deal with a master. This type of hedgehog tactic had won them many battles before.
In fact, Lu Li and Water Fairy didn’t know where to even begin.
However, Her Tears had already brought people and ran over here as soon as he had received Lu Li’s notification.
They were originally fighting full steam with Nagrand and Horde players over a Hawk.
As soon as he heard that there was a battle to be fought, he immediately rushed over.
Flying Mounts blotted out the sky and covered the sun within a second. Once they arrived at Dragonmaw Stronghold, they nearly scared the dozen people from Sea Dragon Mercenary Regiment to death.
What was worse followed after. Her Tears had brought people who had crossed paths with the Sea Dragon Mercenary Regiment before and recognised them in an instant. They told Her Tears about these origins of these people. Naturally, Lu Li came to know too.
“Boss, how many times are we gonna kill them?” Her Tears asked in a heroic manner.
“Kill them until you guys don’t feel like it anymore.”
Lu Li actually felt quite thankful to this group of people in his heart.
This type of feeling of losing the one you loved happened in an instant. However, he would never forget this for the rest of his life.
And neither did he ever want to feel it again!

Blood & Noodles
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] As they always have, humanity hunts the gods roaming the world, craving the supernatural power that flows within their veins. Even a drop is zealously guarded, passed from master to student through the ages. It is with this stolen power that the Blooded - those with divine blood coursing through them - grasp beyond mortality and achieve prestige, power, and greatness. Yet, for every fraction of power gained, thousands perish, slain by the gods' supernatural prowess. But everything is beginning to change. Eight years ago, for the first time in human memory, a god was felled. Part-time chef and full-time nuisance Orvi wants nothing to do with gods. Living in a derelict city, his only concerns are ensuring his adopted family's restaurant is prosperous and how to best beat the neighbourhood boys in a fight. If he's lucky, he might even snag a date with the farmer's daughter at the market. But even though he cares nothing for the gods or their blood, the world won't leave him alone forever. Because to reach godhood, one must first leave their humanity behind. *** The first arc of Blood & Noodles follows the adolescent Orvi as he attempts to navigate his rapidly changing home and - by his own definition - protect his family. The story is told almost entirely in the first-person, from the perspective of a teenager who isn't always the sharpest tool in the shed. There are tragic elements, especially in the current arc. It's character-focused and driven, though the protagonist's shenanigans are backdropped by a world operating independently from him. Orvi's a generally light-hearted character, and though the story veers into darker territory, I also want it to be able to make readers smile. Action sequences, despite the fantastical elements, are meant to be grounded and clearly-conveyed; Orvi is a brawler, not a warrior. I'm trying to write a story that's enjoyable to read and flows nicely, mainly because it's more fun to write. I'm also trying to improve my writing, so any feedback, whether positive or negative, is welcome!

They destroyed families, culture and economies; their hands dyed red by the blood of the children, the families trampled by their lecherous motivations and diabolical war machines.
