Chapter 1906: Dual Blader
In terms of equipment, Remnant Dream received the best reward. She received a new Dragonspine Trophy.
Lu Li remembered that he spent his hard-earned 180 Guild Points that he had saved up for so long. These 180 Guild Points yielded him only one item. On the other hand, Remnant Dream didn’t even need to waste a single point to have such a powerful item dropped at her feet.
However, if he could choose a reward, then he would have surely chosen a skill point.
Unfortunately, he was not the person who received the skill point – it was Fat Monkey. He didn’t receive an item, yet 40 Guild Points were taken from him. He was feeling quite down, but this boosted his mood right back up.
Lu Li himself received an item.
Gronn-Stitched Girdle.
Gronn-Stitched Girdle (Epic): Armor: 200. Agility +180. Strength +80. Critical +40. Slot: 1. Special Effect 1: Escape. Teleports user to 15 metres within line of vision. Cooldown: 2 minutes. Cooldown is not shared with other similar items. Special Effect 2: Growth. Active skill. Increases attack by 15% every 30 seconds. Body size increased by 10%. Effect stacks 3 times. Loses effect after leaving battle. Cooldown: 16 minutes. Level Requirement: 70. Durability: 420/420.
This was quite a decent item; it added 40% Critical Strike.
At level 70, Thieves should have the full 260 Critical Strike and 330 Haste.
Special Effect 1 was a mobility-based skill. With the level 60 items now made redundant, this effect came as a surprise. Special Effect 2 was a budget version of Gruul’s skill. The description of the skill sounded rather impressive, but realistically, it wasn’t that useful.
After using the skill, the user’s attack would be increased by 15% every 30 seconds up to three times. In total, it added 45% attack. This effect would continue as long as the player was in battle. Compared to most special effects that increased attack, this was quite powerful.
However, one thing needed to be considered – adding each stack took 30 seconds. If there were three stacks, this would take 90 seconds.

When Thieves fought with other players, the battle was usually over within 20 to 30 seconds. If the battle was prolonged past the initial 20 to 30 seconds, it would be a difficult fight. If a Thief was unable to finish the battle within 30 seconds, then he would most likely lose. This was the case for most players.
If they were unable to kill within 30 seconds, then they would be killed.
90 seconds was too long to stack the effects to maximum capacity. Nevertheless, this item would suit some Paladins and Berserkers, since they would often fight in long and tiring battles.
Lu Li didn’t have a better belt at the time, so he was using it as a placeholder.
Surprisingly, no one left immediately after completion. If people needed Stones or received some items that they didn’t really want, they would ask other players to trade.
Lu Li looked at others’ First Clear rewards and saw something that caught his eye.
Sword of the Gronn Lords (Epic): Damage: 120 -164. Strength +220. Constitution +150. Accuracy +65. Slots: 2. Special Effect 1: Damage received is reduced by 50% after successful blocking. Special Effect 2: When the wearer’s HP is lower than 20%, the wearer is able to convert their remaining HP into a shield that is 300-times their Max HP. This shield lasts for 10 seconds. After the shield expires, the wearer’s HP will fall to zero. Level Requirement: 70. Durability: 440/440.
This was undoubtably a Tank’s single-handed sword.
This weapon added Strength and Constitution. Some people thought that Tanks didn’t need Strength, but even Tanks needed Strength to increase their damage. If they didn’t have damage, the how would they be able to gain the aggro? However, taking aggro was not the only use of a Tank.
Accuracy was also a key stat for Tanks. After all, the squad would be wiped if a skill missed.
The first Special Effect was a defensive effect. This was commonly seen on many items, even some average Gold items. However, those only mitigated around 10 to 20%. Anything above 30% was considered to be exquisite.

Lu Li looked at this item and thought that he could use it as well. After all, Strength was also beneficial to Thieves. The extra 150 Constitution would also yield more than 1000 HP, which would make the wearer much more durable.
Thieves and Warriors also had their own Block, which would mitigate the damage received. The difference between this Block and a shield-bearer’s Block was that the effects of using a weapon to block were incomparable to the effects of using a shield.
If blocking was successful and mitigated 50% damage, then the benefits of blocking as a Thief or Warrior would far surpass that of a Tank. After all, a successful block from a Tank would have already mitigated the damage by quite a lot, so adding another 50% wasn’t a major difference.
For example, if a monster dealt 1000 damage and a block from a shield mitigated 700 damage, this meant that the final damage received would be 300. 50% extra mitigation would decrease this to 150 damage, which wasn’t a huge difference.
A Thief’s block would be able to mitigate 300 to 400 damage, which meant that the final damage received would still be around 600. After taking 50% away, that would leave 300 damage left.
The difference here was far more significant.
Of course, this was only a rough estimate.
Azure Sea Breeze didn’t say a word and gave the sword to Lu Li. He didn’t even talk about money.
Lu Li then swapped out the two level 70 Dark Gold daggers for two Epic single-handed swords.
The Sword of the Gronn Lords was in his main hand. Although the attack speed was slower, the skill damage would be much higher. The blade that he received from Kazrahan, Spiteblade, was in his second-hand.
Spiteblade (Epic): Damage 128-164. Agility +180. Strength +120. Critical Chance +8%. Critical Damage +33%. Slots: 2. Special Effect 1: After successfully landing a Critical Strike, there is a chance for an extra attack to occur. Special Effect 2: Chance to Curse target when attacking. Inflicts weakness onto target. Effect stacks three times. Level Requirement: 60. Durability 340/340.
One sword improved his survivability while the other improved his DPS. This was a perfect pairing.
In the current times, everyone had just gotten to level 70. Therefore, Lu Li having two Epic weapons in his hands was the subject of many envious players.
Netherblade Facemask (Fine Epic): Armor +210. Agility +240. Strength +160. Dodge +65. Slots: 2. Special Effect 1: Decreases duration of crowd control skills by 10%. Special Effect 2: Looming Darkness. Instant cast. After usage, effects of Stealth are improved. The wearer becomes more difficult to be Detected. Duration: 10 seconds. Cooldown: 30 minutes. Level Requirement: 70. Durability 420/420.
This T4 Hat only had two Special Effects. If it was exquisite, then it would have a chance at having three Special Effects. If it was perfect, then it would definitely have three.
Netherblade Gloves (Exquisite Epic): Armor +250. Agility +260. Strength +180. Critical Strike +75. Slots: 2. Special Effect 1: Backstab level +1. Special Effect 2: Bloody Slash. Upon casting, wearer loses 20% HP and deals 40% of the target’s Max HP. If the target does not have enough HP to be taken away, then the target will be left with 1% HP. Cooldown: 20 minutes. Special Effect 3: Unarmed. Steals the target’s weapon, who is unable to use the weapon’s effects or attack. The wearer proceeds to use the weapon as a shield and attacks the target once with the weapon. Cooldown: 2 hours. Equipment level requirement: 70. Durability 420/420.
This was an exquisite Epic item that had three Special Effects. Not everyone who had this set item had the same effects. Realistically speaking, most set items didn’t have this effect either.
