Chapter 1726: Judgment Spear
“Are you sure that he would agree? He’s a stubborn donkey, that one.”
Square Root Three couldn’t believe that Lu Li planned to delegate such a big responsibility to Wandering. He reckoned that anyone else would be a better fit for the job.
“If I really do give it to him, he won’t just ignore his responsibilities. Don’t worry about it.” Lu Li was sure of his decision.
Lu Li already had a relationship with Wandering that spanned over two lifetimes. How could he not know what type of person Wandering was? It was true that he was lazy, but that was because everyone else was already involved in most tasks, so there was no need for him. However, in situations where they needed him, there was no way that he would just watch and not take action.
This was evident in his style of administration and commanding as well. He was someone who aimed for the big fish.
One of his strong points was that he was able to unintentionally find problems and use the shortest amount of time to solve them. His brain was being put to good use.
Square Root Three was worried that Wandering would just be lazy and not care, which would only make things more chaotic.
He didn’t know Wandering like Lu Li did. Firstly, Wandering was only lazy when he had the opportunity to be lazy. If they actually delegated him responsibility, then he wouldn’t be lazy about it. Secondly, he was someone who cared a lot about his image and reputation. Even if it was for his concern over maintaining his image, he wouldn’t allow the guild to be thrown into chaos.
“Let Cat Dad go over to help him, since he has a wealth of experience to offer him. He’s also a more careful person,” Lu Li added. After hearing this, Square Root Three was satisfied.
Cat Dad was an extremely capable administrator. Although he sometimes lacked foresight, this would even out after partnering with Wandering.
“What should be the name of the new guild?” Square Root Three asked.

The name was still very important, despite it being a branch guild. A branch guild still had limitless potential. Did Peerless City and Gale Legion not begin as branch guilds?
“Let’s call it Judgment Spear,” Lu Li immediately answered. Building a new branch guild could not be done in a day. His goal in life was not only to marry Water Fairy, but also to expand his paths.
Establishing a branch guild had always been in his mind.
Ruling Sword, Judgment Spear, Guardian Shield – these were all names that Lu Li already had in mind. Guardian Shield was still quite far away, but Judgment Spear was already on the brink of completion.
“Alright. I’ll go and make the necessary preparations. I’m about to be overworked. You need to raise my salary for this.”
Square Root Three was already quite busy. Wandering and Cat Dad were the two people who could help alleviate some of his burdens, but now they were going over to the branch guild as well. He was going to be worked until his legs gave out.
Lu Li didn’t think that Square Root Three was grumbling.
Even the dumbest of people could sense the excitement in Square Root Three’s words. In earlier times, Square Root Three could not stand Ao Jian’s unwillingness and lack of enthusiasm to use their resources to expand their guild. As a result, he left the guild angrily and in frustration, since he thought that all of his efforts had just gone to waste.
Lu Li then approached him and gave him an opportunity.
Perhaps it was through his experience with Ao Jian that he was able to easily recognise Lu Li as someone who had great
potential and ambition.
Lu Li was completely different to Ao Jian. If Ao Jian was a proud peacock, then Lu Li would be a tiger, hiding its fangs and claws. No matter how harmless Lu Li looked, his carnivorous nature would be hard to hide.
Furthermore, Lu Li was someone who was patient in pursuit.
The environment in which he was raised was not ideal, as he lived in extreme poverty. It could be easily imagined that he was one of the people who lived their lives counting every single cent. However, in his interactions and relationships with other people, he was not stingy and petty.

Once he accepted someone, he didn’t care whether the person would benefit him or not.
He was also willing to share his own benefits with others.
People like him were seen as idiots.
Lu Li had already experienced one lifetime of poverty and could barely sustain himself, and yet he was still doing the same thing.
Firstly, he thought about fair distribution of items between his teammates. Then, he started being much more generous when giving items as well. An idiot like this had managed to attract countless top-tier players to follow him with
unwavering loyalty.
Players like Azure Sea Breeze, Hachi Chan and Remnant Dream would have been heavily recruited to join other organisations which would have offered them far more than what Lu Li could. Yet, they still decided to stay with Lu Li . Square Root Three knew better. He knew that Lu Li wasn’t an idiot. He would rather believe that Lu Li’s harsh upbringing taught him how to manipulate others.
Well, it didn’t matter anyway. Just as Lu Xun, a Chinese writer, said, if a bad person only did good things for his whole life, then he was a good person.
All the organisations were amazed upon learning that Ruling Sword was establishing a branch guild.
It seemed so rushed!
The pressure would be immense!
Ruling Sword hadn’t even been around for one year, but this didn’t seem like a joke at all. They seemed serious about it.
However, people who knew better knew that this was something that would happen sooner or later. If Ruling Sword really wanted to, then they could just accept a large investment from external sources and rapidly increase the number of elite teams. That would be real growth.
Unfortunately, Lu Li was stupid and narrow sighted, so he couldn’t gather enough investors. Therefore, Ruling Sword could only progress slowly.
They didn’t think that they could get here without external investments.
To establish Judgment Spear, Lu Li arranged for 20,000 capable players from the main guild to transfer over. In a blink of an eye, Judgment Spear was filled with members. Furthermore, within these 20,000 players, there were some top-tier players from Ruling Sword’s own elite teams who were willing to join the branch guild.
After this, they began to furiously recruit for members.
Because they had the trump card of the Stronghold, it was an easy task for them to recruit new members.
Countless Arena rooms were set up in the Strongholds. Players who enjoyed to PVP were free to challenge anyone there. As long as they could prove that they were somewhat capable in battle, they would be able to join Judgment Spear. Lu Li set a limit of 50,000 Judgment Spear members, which meant that they needed to recruit around 30,000 more.
As for the 20,000 members that were transferred from the main guild, Lu Li also planned to fill this gaping hole.
The requirements for joining Ruling Sword were much stricter than the branch guild. For PvE, they needed to show their System score in a certain Instance Dungeon. If the score met the requirements, then they would be able to join. Furthermore, once they joined, they would be a trial member. Only after experiencing an actual Instance Dungeon with the guild would they be instated as a proper member of Ruling Sword.
As for PvP players, they needed an Arena score exceeding 1800. Otherwise, they wouldn’t even have a chance at joining Ruling Sword.
In this current update, the maximum Arena score was 2200. Not many people could reach that. People who did manage to reach 2200 usually quit the Arena after maxing it out.
It was easy to lose points, but difficult to gain them. The more points the player had, the more difficult it was. The points system past 2000 was ridiculous. If they lost one round, the points gained from winning ten rounds might not be able to recover the deficit. Most of the top-tier PVP players usually hovered around 2000 points or so.

I was just like everyone else. At least, I thought so. Everyone grew up in a mansion with servants, trained to be a debutante, had a traveling archeologist for a father, and gave it all up to do whatever the hell they wanted. Right? Well that’s what I did. I was happy. As happy as a single twenty four year old girl can be living in an apartment selling shit online to pay the bills. Not actual shit, that's gross. No, I bought stuff from garage sales, thrift stores, and junk shops, and resold it in my online store. I was pretty good at finding stuff to peddle to my customers. I made rent every month and didn’t have to strip. I’m a bit too chunky to swing around a pole anyway. Life was great! Until two sexy men broke into my apartment and woke me up from the most erotic dream my sexually depraved mind could come up with. One was between my legs, the other was... Oh well, it was a dream and I didn’t even get to finish it. Those bastards! Now I’m supposed to believe my dead father wasn’t an archeologist, but some kind of paranormal agent working for a secret organization called The Guard. My ability to find items for my customers is just a perk inherited from him. And I’m supposed to use my inherited powers to save the world. All while these hunks of man flesh guard me from other paranormals out to get whatever the hell they think I have. A certain body part is dripping with excitement, literally. But my mind is saying “Hell No!”
