Chapter 1575: Single Dogs, Shut Up
Translator: Exodus Tales Editor: Exodus Tales
Everything was still in order as long as Wandering could handle his fear of spiders. Lu Li planned to position a Main Tank on the front line to attract the Boss while the others attacked, and Wandering would be standing near the Hunters. Once Azure Sea Breeze was trapped by the Boss, and it ran to attack the Hunters, all Wandering had to do was cast Taunt. By doing so, the Boss would abandon its original target and turn to attack Wandering instead.
“Don’t half-ass your pulls. I’m taking away your Guild Points if we get annihilated,” Lu Li raised his voice, reminding his team that just because he couldn’t physically see them, didn’t mean he didn’t know what they were thinking of doing.
“Pull the mobs to Breeze. Breeze, once your binding effects wear off, head towards the Hunters to stand by,” Lu Li ordered. And thus, began the cycle.
The two Main Tanks were positioned at separate corners of the battlefield, and if one were to fall victim to the Boss’s binding spell, the other could cast Taunt to attract the Boss. This tactic was common knowledge during Lu Li’s past life. However, right now, everyone had only just begun fighting and studying the Zul’Gurub Instance. High Priest Arlokk’s unique binding spell was unencountered in past Instances, so Lu Li believed that many players would break their backs trying to counter the Boss’s skill. Perhaps someone would be witty enough to solve it right away, or maybe the majority of players would be annihilated for weeks before they would make a breakthrough. Either way, Lu Li had never underestimated others. The Boss First Clear teams were made up of thousands of players who had the ability to use each class to its full potential during a battle. Perhaps they would be able to come up with a new strategy according to the classes in their team and the situation on the battlefield at the time. Having two Main Tanks continuously switching positions was honestly not that ground-breaking.

“Water sis, how come you’re so quiet today? Don’t tell me you’re pm-ing Lu Li right now!” Fat Monkey could not stand the silence, perhaps a mere Instance Dungeon was not stressful to a competitive player.
“…” Water Fairy glared at Fat Monkey; she had no interest in responding.
“So, what if she really was pm-ing me? Also, what could she possibly say to you, single dog!” Lu Li was quick to defend his girlfriend and did not hold back his shade. That’s what he gets for interrupting their pm session.
“Oof.” Fat Monkey look hurt.
“Woah, damn, did you really have to say that? Monkey bro had only just treated us to dinner yesterday,” Azure Sea Breeze could not stand Lu Li’s increasing disrespect towards them.
“Single dogs should shut up. Focus on pulling the mobs,” Lu Li glared at Azure Sea Breeze.
Azure Sea Breeze staggered back as he felt personally attacked as well. He turned to look at the rest of the team, everyone was focused on beating the Boss and seemed unaware to what Lu Li had just said. That was only natural, most players on the team were all single, so obviously they wouldn’t want to butt in only to be verbally attacked by Lu Li.
Whether it was members of Ruling Sword or players from Peerless City and Drizzle Court, everyone agreed that Lu Li’s club was not one they would willingly stay with indefinitely. Not only were the two leaders of Lu Li’s club showing off their affection for each other every day, but now they were personally attacking their team members? What was the point of staying in a club that didn’t respect and love single dogs? Or perhaps it was another one of Lu Li’s tactic to stir up his team’s emotions to deal better damage output. Either way, the unfortunate High Priest Arlokk should have been a unique and powerful Boss, one that could finally teach the ignorant adventurers what fear was. In reality, the current battle was a slap in the face and had Arlokk cornered.

By the time Arlokk was down to 25% health, he had let out a furious roar. Arlokk felt like he needed to remind his enemies of his existence and power, and make those puny adventurers pay for what they’ve done. Unfortunately, Arlokk could not understand a word the adventurers were saying. Otherwise, he would’ve known that his enemies were not people, but a bunch of single dogs! How could a spider defeat a dog?
Fat Monkey used his AOE spells to trap the small spiders; they had become his target to vent his resentment.
“Everyone to Quan Fu Palace after the game! My treat,” Fat Monkey yelled, “Except for two particular people. They can pay with their own money. Hmph!”
“Huh,” Lu Li raised his eyebrow and chuckled half-heartedly, “What could be so attractive about dinner with a bunch of single dogs? I wouldn’t go even if you paid me. Oh, by the way, Monkey bro, don’t forget about your competition in an hour,”
“I thought it was Nuo Yu’s turn to compete. When was this decided?” Fat Monkey’s eyes widened.
“Just now. I don’t want you around to fight me on the Mount, after all.” Lu Li smirked, “I guess it’s too bad that I’m the leader, huh? Have you not considered that provoking me might bite you in the ass?”
“That’s right, why would you think it was a good idea to provoke Lu Li and Water sis? They’ve done nothing bad,” Azure Sea Breeze immediately switched sides when Lu Li turned to look at his direction. After all, there were plenty of people on the bench, even Dawn’s top Main Tank was expendable in Lu Li’s eyes.
The Mount had a high chance of being dropped during the First Clear. “Ahem. Look, Boss. It’s no big deal if you two don’t want to join us for dinner, but at least let Monkey bro send two or three dishes your way so you two can enjoy a candlelit dinner,” Fat Monkey smiled. He was very thick-skinned.
As the team was bickering, the Boss’s life came to an end. The Boss’s Berserk at the end of the battle had dealt a great deal of damage, but in the end, it was still unable to defeat them. Fat Monkey was still muttering even after the battle was over, “I’ll kill you, I’ll kill you. How dare you make fun of me?” Everyone had obviously imagined the Boss as Lu Li and had not held back when destroying it.
“Dream, take a break and go loot some armour,”
Since Ruling Sword had taken the First Clear from the previous Boss, they were not in a hurry to defeat Arlokk.
Lu Li decided to finally give his team some space to breathe, he pointed at Fat Monkey and taunted, “Master Brother, don’t be so cowardly. If you want to beat me up, we can just flag it,” PVP flagging was a slightly more fair and friendly form of battle where the defeated would not die. Instead the loser would keep his last drop of health and knelt down to surrender. Flagging also doesn’t wear out the player’s armour as much, so it was Dawn’s most common form of PK.
“What, that’s just mean. How could I possibly defeat you?” Fat Monkey refused immediately. Fat Monkey might’ve wanted to teach Lu Li a lesson, but even he knew his limits. If Fat Monkey could only beat Moonlight sometimes, how could he possibly be Lu Li’s rival? He would be digging his own grave if he was to accept the challenge.
“What if I take off one of my equipment?” Lu Li removed his bracers.
“You took them off willingly. I didn’t ask you to do it. So, we agree you’re not giving me an advantage,” Fat Monkey clarified. Lu Li rolled his eyes, knowing Fat Monkey probably thought that this handicap was enough.
“Don’t be silly, even without one puny piece of equipment he’s still Lu Li,” Wandering did not have the heart to watch a fellow single dog tortured by Lu Li

Charlotte Powers: Diary of a Would-Be Superhero
The journal of a girl who thinks she knows. (Spoiler: She does not know.) "...an odd combination of stream-of-conscious anxieties and high-flying save-the-world goals written by an overzealous, naïve teenaged girl in her wristwatch computer diary."-readers are better at describing stories than the writers who wrote them "When it's over you look up: the world looks the same, but you are somehow different and that feeling lingers for days."-bit OTT but I'll take it "...everything cannot just be good and then be even more good, in this story, right?"-100% accurate assessment "...the plot was bland and the character uninteresting. “… to grow, for opportunity, for adventure, to be free. Join the colony ship Nao Vittoria. Be the first to live amongst the stars.” It was obvious from the literature that the NextStar corporation wanted the young, the adventurous and the brilliant. So why were the super rich fighting over seats? Why were AI’s trying to stow away? Did this signify a premature end to human/AI civilisation? Why had some questions directed to NextStar been aggressively sidelined? Why did the colonist inflight entertainment trial produce fatalities? In fact, why colonists at all? Those and many other questions, however, boiled down to a single central question. Why was the world’s most advanced AI dumped with a hundred year babysitting job for 50 million people speeding towards an uninhabitable planet? It made such little sense. The only sure way to get answers, catch a ride on the Nao Vittoria and play the inflight entertainment game, Pax Domini. I joined, and this is my story. Well, I feature. OK, I’m more of a spectator. Actually, I’m completely irrelevant I was just there. I’m only the storyteller. But what a story to tell. --------- Hi All, Content will be published weekly usually Saturday and typical posts will be 25oo to 4ooo words per post. Though for some reason the Royal Road word count does not include the content of tables so some posts may not appear to meet this criteria. Currently I have written sufficient unedited content to keep this schedule for the next 12 months (half way through the first story arc). My current productivity would indicate that I can maintain this schedule for well into the second story arch. This also allows for the additional content that will be posed exclusively on Patreon (https://www.patreon.com/StoriesOfIndlu). This additional content follows minor characters, peripheral events, maps and other content that does not take away from the main story. I would love to accelerate the post schedule but to meet this I need the assistance of more beta readers than I currently have. So please let me know if you are interested. - Andy ©2022 Andy Leauter. Words I Left Unsaid
"Like a treasure map in a bottle, We were slowly drifting apart, Mother Nature sailing our purpose out to sea, The more I got to know you, I realised how much of a hoax your devotion was, Almost as fake as the smile I paint across my shattered face."This collection of poetry releases trauma in the form of expression - mainly the words I could never build up the courage to say. Most of these poems present conflict of the mind and allude to mental health struggles, which may be relatable to a certain community of people.Ranks -#3 in poem#3 in poembook#8 in poetry collection #7 in sadpoems#6 in poemcollection #7 in wisdom #15 in poetic
