The Great Thief Chapter 1505 – Lucky Remnant Dream
Translator: Exodus Tales Editor: Exodus Tales
“Azure, start the fight.”
Lu Li appeared much more calm than he actually was. He really hoped the two random area of effect skills would be forgiving.
“I’m going,” Azure Sea Breeze muttered as he stuck his tongue out.
“Wait!” Lu Li stopped him, then walked up to Remnant Dream and said, “Dreamy, you go hit him first.”
“What?” Remnant Dream stared back at Lu Li with her big puppy eyes; her expression was beyond scared. Why would Lu Li want a weak little girl that required the protection of her pets to strike the Boss first?
“Trust me. Go hit the Boss first, then redirect the aggro to Azure Sea Breeze. Remember to Feign Death”
“Okay,” Remnant Dream reluctantly agreed with a nod. It wasn’t the first time that she had to initiate a Boss fight, but the situation wasn’t as terrifying as this. However, if Lu Li asked her, she had no choice but to do listen.
An arrow landed on the Boss’s toes and Chromaggus awakened slowly.
He looked down and stared straight at the little Hunter.
The Hunter rolled her eyes and dropped to the ground almost as if she had actually died. The Boss then turned its attention towards Azure Sea Breeze.
Azure began tanking at the position that Lu Li specified.
“Okay, let’s start,” Lu Li said as he nodded in approval, signaling to Remnant Dream that she could get up now.
The reason why he wanted Remnant Dream to draw aggro first instead of Azure Sea Breeze was to decrease their chances of the Boss using its area-of-effect skills Time Lapse and Ignite Flesh.
Many guilds, when facing off against Chromaggus, would skip the last two Bosses in the dungeon if the random skills were Time Lapse and Ignite Flesh.

There were very few guilds that were strong enough to complete this dungeon.
Even if the Boss was nerfed in the future, there would still be very few teams that could tank these two skills from the Boss.
There was a saying regarding this dungeon.
If you got hit by Time Lapse and Ignite Flesh then you would free for the rest of the week.
If it was Ignite Flesh and Corrosive Acid, then they still have a chance of winning because these two skills could be tanked.
Remnant Dream was famous for how lucky she was, so Lu Li was hoping she would be able to help them in the beginning of the fight.
Chromaggus could be tanked by Warriors because he had weak normal attacks, so long as he didn’t go Berserk. A Main Tank like Azure Sea Breeze could tank the Boss without defensive skills from start to finish – assuming that the he didn’t use Time Lapse.
Time Lapse: Frozen in Time! The target’s HP decreases by 50% and loses aggro. When the Effect is finished, Replenish 50% and all aggro.
This skill didn’t actually do much damage, but it reset the aggro. If this was combined with Ignite Flesh, the chances of the team getting wiped were highly likely.
The first skill was not one of the area-of-effect skills but one of the five Blood Affliction Skills.
Chromaggus casted Blood Affliction Bronze and Green and killed off three players.
One of them was a Priest and Lu Li couldn’t do anything to prevent this since it was their first time.
He was actually in the wrong because he didn’t realize Bronze would do so much damage, so he forgot to remind everyone to use their defensives.
Blood Affliction stunned the players for 3 to 4 seconds.

“Positioning! Be careful of where you stand!” Do not stand next to the main tank!” Lu Li reminded. He was quite on edge because the Boss had yet to use his AoE skills.
Wandering noticed that Lu Li was slightly flustered and tried to encourage him.
“Let’s take it slow; this is just the beginning.”
Even if this Boss was very strong, the whole team was willing to do this together.
Now they knew that Blood Affliction Bronze should be cleansed immediately, especially if the player that was hit did not have full HP. Otherwise, it could easily lead to a few surrounding players also getting affected.
“Be mindful of those that turn blue. Paladins, Priests and Druids, remember your task. Help keep an eye out for your teammates,” Lu Li continued.
Blood Affliction Blue was the most deadly to Mage classes, as it decreased Movement Speed by 70%, decreased Casting Speed by 50% and drained 350 mana per second. This skill did not seem significant at first glance, but the mana drain and movement speed debuff could easily mess up the Mages and make them panic.
There were plenty of Bosses that had used a variety of debuffs in their past battles. However, it was the first time that there were so many debuffs cast at such a high frequency.
Classes such as Druids, Paladins and Priests that could cleanse debuffs and curses were on edge because they determined the outcome of this fight. Although they were all on high alert, it was almost as if their reaction times were a step slower because of the pressure.
Additionally, they also forgot to do other things such as dealing damage and healing.
“The Boss is going Berserk!”
Bearded Zaza was frustrated because he was hit by Blood Affliction Blue, but did not get cleansed for a whole 2 seconds.
The Hunters had the responsibility of watching whether the Boss went into Berserk mode.
Once he went Berserk, they needed to cast Tranquilizing Shot.
“Remnant Dream, shoot him!” Lu Li yelled.
Remnant Dream casted the skill and Tranquilized the Boss. Once it went Berserk, the whole team might as well give up.
“Give Bearded Zaza a Mana Regen Totem. Next time, remember to use potions and stop using your mana to cast skills. Watch the Boss carefully and do not let it go Berserk,” Lu Li said as he let out a sigh of relief. Even though they had lost three players already, they could still pass this stage as long as the Boss did not go Berserk.
The two Hunters could use normal attacks and still deal decent amounts of damage.
Their pets could also deal damage, so the overall team DPS was still maintained. Hunters had one of the lowest mana pools in the game, which meant that if they were cursed with Blood Affliction Blue, the effects were even more detrimental.
Frost Burn!
Deals 1749 points of Frost Damage and drains 1749 Mana. Delays the time between attacks by 400% and lasts for 125 seconds.
The first AoE skill was cast and it was Frost Burn. Lu Li let out another sigh of relief.

This story was posted on RR in its entirety before being removed. Magnus Cromwell kills for a living. He’s organized, professional, efficient. Like a machine. But when his family’s life is on the line? That’s something else. That calls for the kind of warm-blooded vengeance that scorches earth and summons tungsten rods from space, leaves a whole lot of melted flesh, and no one to tell the tale. It should've been a blue milk run. As by-the-book as it gets. With his sister Nina out safe and the opposition decimated by hypersonic gunfire, MC wondered where they got the guts to even try. Then something hits him. Lays him out cold, and leaves him waking up to a fantasyland with nothing but his armor and a half-written note to guide him. It's a strange place where even stranger predators eye him for their next meal. Where his life’s on a timer, and where the darkest horrors haunt his dreams, painting visions of death. There's no right day to mess with Magnus Cromwell. Where Giants Fall
A fantasy LitRPG about traversing through worlds and slaying giants with nothing but a wooden suit and an army of treants. Nicholas Atkins didn't expect to wake up naked in the glowing woods. What he did expect was waking up to a hangover after last night's party- fortunately, that wasn't the case. Unfortunately though, he had worse problems to take care of than a headache. At first he blamed it on the alcohol; from what he recalled in Biology, glowing flowers didn't exactly exist in the realm of reality. However he was as sober as he could be, so next he blamed the drugs, but there was a problem- he didn't have the money to do drugs in the first place. When the fairies came, things became even weirder. Talks of climbing towers, magic tricks, and dinner were all on the table. Of course, dinner was the priority, but so was getting back home. However slowly, Nico realized that he might actually want to stay in this fantasy world. After all, he's had enough listening to Professor Paul's lecture on calculus- the swords and sorceries were just an added bonus. Still, staying in this new world has its own costs- and money is but one thing on that long, long list. Updated everyday except Saturday GMT+8 (Specific time varies by around 30 minutes). He fantasized about running away from the village and going as far as the end of the world; he didn’t believe for a moment that he’d be able to. He tried to think of somewhere else to hide, but nothing came to mind; he kept wandering aimlessly, hoping to delay the inevitable.
