The Great Thief Chapter 1488 – Scheming Scale
Translator: Exodus Tales Editor: Exodus Tales
To have peeped someone else’s stream, then run over and shot them – it was clear whether this was a moral thing to do or not. For Unforgettable Maple, there was not absolute right or wrong. If he ran over and shot Elevenless then it would be fair and reasonable. However, the issue was that Elevenless ran over and shot him.
“Stop shouting. Innocent Child, have a look and see if they’re all hiding behind the used cars. I’ll go find some others,” Lu Li said.
“I can only see two people. I can see their feet from under the cars,” Innocent Child replied. He had a 4X scope in his hands and had a clear advantage in observing the enemy.
“You go first. I can’t see anything from mine,” Lu Li said.
Innocent Child had found spot on the ground to lie in ambush. He roughly aimed at the enemy in the distance. That car was lying sideways and there was a gap underneath it, so anyone with decent marksmanship could hit the person behind.
The gun went ‘bang’.
The used car which Lu Li hid behind was peppered in fiery sparks, caused by all the bullets hitting the metal.
If Lu Li wasn’t moving as fast as he was, then one shot would have already hit his head.
“98K here…”
Lu Li was slightly confused. He felt that it was not possible for Elevenless, who was across from him, to shoot this position. However, his confusion was short-lived, as he quickly yelled out, “Look up! There’s someone on the metal frame of the bridge. 60 degrees Northeast!”
The others looked toward the direction that Lu Li shouted and looked up. There was indeed someone climbing on the frame.
“Shoot him up!” Unforgettable Maple cried out as he recovered his HP from taking medicine.
Ordinary people could not usually climb up this type of metal frame of a large bridge. While it provided an excellent vantage point, this was not without any weaknesses, as there was nothing to hide behind.
“I shot him down.”
Water Fairy wasn’t sure if she shot him of her own true abilities or by accident. It didn’t matter because this person’s head now belonged to her.
“He fell, but he’s probably not dead, I think he’ll probably get saved,” Lu Li replied pessimistically.
“We can’t play like this. If someone gets up from behind, we’re done for with two sides attacking us,” Unforgettable Maple said as he took a few shots, but didn’t hit anyone because of the lack of a proper scope.
The fact that Elevenless clearly knew the situation of Lu Li and the other was more aggravating. They were hidden very well.

“How about we charge after one wave of shots? If we drive, we’ll definitely get shot,” Innocent Child suggested.
“No, don’t bet on it. Our opponents aren’t weaker than us in any way.”
With four rifles firing automatically at the same time, any type of car would be obliterated.
“What do we do then?! Aren’t you Dawn’s number one Commander?! Do your thing then!” Unforgettable Maple urged.
“Child Bro and you stay here. Water Fairy and I will swim to the opposite riverbank and then attack from both sides,” Lu Li explained without hesitation. There was a degree of risk in this action. Firstly, to swim over required time, so it was hard to say what could happen. Second was the issue of dispersion of their forces. It was hard to say who would win over the other.
“Let’s do what you suggested. We’ll be a bit meticulous. Maple Sis watch your back; don’t get your route of retreat cut-off.”
Innocent Child thought that Lu Li’s suggestion was better than his own.
Lu Li quietly retreated, then climbed to one side of the bridge slowly using the under-bush to conceal himself. He then slid into the water from the bottom of the bridge and swam towards the opposite bank.
“What if Elevenless was shamelessly watching my live stream? Then what do we do?” Water Fairy asked, looking worried.
“Then that would be incredibly shameless. If he did that, I would go to Dawn and assassinate him,” Lu Li joked. Elevenless was considered a star player in Dawn. He was also a Plate Berserker who attacked strong and tall enemies. He didn’t know what was wrong, but every time he bumped into Lu Li, he would be killed. Sometimes it was Lu Li, and other times it was other people who did it.
This was probably the reason why Elevenless had attacked them so viciously.
Fortunately, Elevenless still cared for his face, or perhaps he didn’t think that his opponents had split up when facing an integrated team of elite players like them.
This wasn’t the first time Elevenless had cut-off a bridge. He enjoyed cutting off bridges to rob unsuspecting players. Maybe it was because he was so caught up in this mentality of robbery everyday that he neglected Lu Li’s strategy. After all, even if someone got them from behind, they could still easily deal with this type of situation.
Once Lu Li swam to the opposite bank, he observed whether there was anyone. After he confirmed that there wasn’t and that it was truly safe, he then ushered for his girlfriend to follow him.
Who cared about playing this game with Innocent Child? It was more important to look after his own wife.

“How should we attack now?”
Water Fairy was feeling a little excited. Even though she enjoyed attacking head-on, it was also exciting to make a sneak-attack. However, Lu Li’s image in her mind was high and noble, so she wanted to get his permission before opening fire.
“Wait a moment – I’m going to find out if there’s anyone around first,” Lu Li said as he carefully searched this side of the bridge.
They then found a favourable position that allowed them to hit one or two players. They faced the used car that originally had three people hiding behind it. One of them climbed to a higher point, but unfortunately, Midnight Ghost was exposed and hit, so now all four of them were hiding behind the car.
Once he confirmed with Unforgettable Maple and Innocent Child to strike, Lu Li opened with the first shot from his 98K.
The gun went ‘bang’, and the system notified that Hornet’s Nest had been hit by Lu Li’s 98K.
At the same time, Water Fairy opened fire too. She didn’t have a high-magnification scope, but any random spray achieved the effect of distracting Elevenless. As long as Elevenless ran around, it would provide Innocent Child with the firing angles.
The system notified Midnight Ghost that he had been hit by Innocent Child.
Lu Li pulled the gun bolt, then aimed at the next target and fired.
However, he didn’t continue to open fire, but instead retreated.
The next second, he had a bullet fly past his head. This gun sound was familiar; he had just used a 98K.
In fact, if Lu Li had not given up, he could have hit the target first, but if that was the case then he couldn’t have avoided this deadly shot. Lu Li did not have plans to exchange one life for another.
“Don’t pop your head out! They have an 8x scope!” Lu Li shouted at Water Fairy. “Now, it’s time for them to be worried.”
Those few used cars were initially good cover and prevented Innocent Child from finding opportunities to fire. However, when the bridge had people on both sides, it was a little awkward.
“They’re saving someone,” Water Fairy reported. She had gotten an angle of the view, and easily observed their opponent’s movements.
“Let me fire; toss me your rifle,” Lu Li said as he threw his King of Cars aside since he wasn’t familiar with it. It wasn’t as accurate as the automatic rifles in aiming medium-to-long distances.
Once Lu Li got an automatic rifle, he wouldn’t aim carefully, he would just shoot continuously. They had searched the whole airport and the last thing they lacked was bullets. Water Fairy carried over 300 packs of these 5.56-type bullets.
Times like these tested a player’s control over a gun.
If you didn’t compensate for the recoil when you pulled the trigger, the gun would be raised involuntarily.
Elevenless and Dream 13, the two players left, instantly fled for their lives and escaped. The other two didn’t even have the chance to be rescued and were killed straightaway. They fell on the ground to their deaths, never to return again.
“Come over guys.”
Lu Li finally felt relieved. The two left hiding in the corner didn’t dare to lift their heads. They would be killed if they exposed themselves.
Innocent Child and Unforgettable Maple felt that it was the right time too. They took advantage of those two hiding in the corner and quickly came over to finish the battle. Otherwise, once the other players came over, someone else could benefit from their hard work.
“Foggy Grass, don’t come over. I’m sorry,” Elevenless sighed into the open audio, loudly begging for forgiveness.
Game audio was key in Survival and Escape. This included gun sounds, footsteps, communication and commands among players. Players of different teams couldn’t communicate unless you selected ‘open audio’. Then, everyone could hear what you’re saying. Elevenless had chosen open audio in this moment so everyone around could hear.
“Beg for mercy? What were you doing earlier then? You had plenty fun hitting me, right?” Unforgettable Maple laughed. What goes around came around – who would have thought today was the day for Elevenless?
“Sis, sis, I’m so sorry! Isn’t this enough? Be the bigger person and forgive my past wrongs,” Elevenless shrunk back as he loudly shouted.
“Bastard, it’s no use even if you call me daddy! You are dead meat! I’ll butcher you myself!”
“Careful!”
In this moment, someone jumped out from behind the cover and opened fire at Unforgettable Maple. Elevenless was clearly manifesting shame into anger and probably wanted to bring someone down with him before he died.
Unforgettable Maple had become highly conceited and walked in an arrogant manner that did not allow any room for escape.
However, this person who jumped out did not get their way because Lu Li fired at him.
System notified that Dream 13 was shot by Lu Li’s 98K.
If it wasn’t Elevenless, then where was he?
As expected, there was a gunshot at the same time as Lu Li shot Dream 13. Another person shot Unforgettable Maple while Lu Li opened fire. The intention was clear that they wanted him absolutely dead.

There may be some song titles and group name's that are used by Kpop and are not made by me. For example, Icon's song "Why Why Why" is inspired by the Kpop group Ikon's song "Why Why Why" in my story. Other group names and song titles used in my story are all original. When not, I will mention in authors notes.

Those Zombies Again
One day Sam wakes up in a world full of zombies and tries to survive.PSFirst of all i would not recommend this novel if you haven't read like hundred of novels already. Its pretty weird and depressing novel. This story is told almost completely from MC point of view. Third person.MC is a pretty ugly random guy with different psychological problems. He is antisocial and limited person.Lore - Since MC is limited and barely interested in people or just surroundings, you will get pretty limited descriptions on stuff, it was meant to be like that.Characters - Obviously for the same reason, you will not see much characters, usually you wont get their description or even names.Fights - I personally hate those fights in novels which take like few chapters to describe some shitty encounters. For example MC is making his "move" and then you get half chapter of description of his thoughts and the ways his face is looking, and the way like his opponent surprised and the way crowd is reacting and so on. I really hate all that shit so fights in this novel will be described not that often, only if an equal or a new opponent, and only in a strict and straightforward way, no bullshit. Now this novel is not exactly fantasy, its more like grim realistic-fantasy.But i will have to explain what i mean. Lets take rape in most novels as an example. Usually MC will be justified to rape a girl one way or another. Common example is aphrodisiac. Or the girl were trying to kill him so he had to "punish" her. Or she just happened to jump on his thing and then after rape she become his girlfriend etc, Those are examples of "fan service" in novel. So MC would be justified and readers woun't feel too uncomfortable to read something like that.So there is no "fan service" in this novel, like at all. You will have to read some stuff that will make you feel uncomfortable and you woun't like it.Common sense also means that there is barely gonna be any "random" events which MC is gonna be part of. No treasures and superpowers he founds because he is "special". He will not meet antagonists on his way. This novels world will not spin around MC in any way. He will usually sit in his deep cave and no one around will give a damn about him or even know of his existence. So this novel is not for you to have fun and enjoy reading. Not to make you feel comfortable, satisfied or happy. Its probably the opposite. There are some standards which novel usually sticks to in order to become popular. Obviously i did not meet those standards at all.
