The Great Thief Chapter 1487 – Despicable
Translator: Exodus Tales Editor: Exodus Tales
The two elite players subconsciously coordinated with each other despite a lack of communication.
Lu Li checked the corpse’s backpack and found a first-aid pack and a can of drink. The rest was a submachine gun know by the players as ‘King of Cars’. Lu Li got rid of the sprayer gun and changed to this one. His victim not only had the gun’s double cartridge clip, but also a silencer.
Lu Li now had the King of Cars in one hand, and a 98k in the other. It was not comparable to Innocent Child’s inventory, but at least he could now handle anything that came his way.
Bam bam bam!
Lu Li saw the system notification indicate where Unforgettable Maple had made a kill. As his eyes looked over, he saw him squatting in the bushes pretending to Phantom Tank. Maple looked so vulgar it made Lu Li’s hair stand on end, yet he didn’t go and loot his kill. Clearly, he was afraid that he would be killed if he did that.
“How many did you kill Maple Sis?” Innocent Child prodded. To kill someone crawling on the floor would give you a kill-score of 4, which was the same as destroying a small team.
“I don’t want to compare. If you’re so good, then why don’t you compare with Lu Li? How many have you killed, Lu Li?” Unforgettable Maple asked.
“8” Lu Li replied.
“Bastard! It seems as though we’ve killed four teams. You two killed three of them alone and I’ve killed one. That leaves only 3 people.”
Unforgettable Maple felt that neither of them were particularly nice people. It just ruined the whole game experience.
“I haven’t even killed anyone,” Water Fairy added.
“I’ll go look for people. You guys feel free to search. There will be plenty of opportunities later,” Lu Li comforted. He would have her win without any kills if he wasn’t afraid of hurting his girlfriend’s self-esteem.
“No need to search – they drove off. I only killed one guy,” Innocent Child regretfully sighed.

“Wow, so we can search however we like then.”
Unforgettable Maple immediately turned serious. They had jumped so many people at the airport. In the end, who would have known that there would be so many who were either dead or had run away? Now, only their team was left.
“I’m not missing anything other than an 8x scope and a Level 3 Helmet. After farming and searching our area, what else do we need to do?” Innocent Child asked.
“Let’s find someone to kill.”
There wasn’t much else to say. The group of them were purely too good at this game and would just defeat anyone that came their way.
“There are a lot of people mentioning Elevenless in my streaming room,” Water Fairy said. “Do you know if he got lined up with us?”
“You guys go search. I’ll go over to his streaming room and see who he has been matched up with,” Unforgettable Maple offered.
“He must have gone to provoke him,” Innocent Child said. He knew Unforgettable Maple well.
“How good is Elevenless?”
Sometimes Lu Li would come alone into this game to practice his marksmanship, but he hadn’t encountered many strong players. It made sense, since everyone was randomly distributed into this game. Each round had a maximum of about 100 people and it was impossible to predict who would be put together.
“Elevenless is pretty strong – he’s killed Maple Sis a fair few times,” Innocent Child said, then paused and added, “I’ve been killed a few times too.”
He was number one in the Northern district in Survival and Escape at the moment. However, being number one did not guarantee that he could persist to the end and win. In reality, his winning chances were not any better than the other teams in the top 10.
“Haha… indeed it’s them. I just saw him playing with Midnight Ghost, Dream 13 and Hornet’s Nest. We’ve got to give them a good torturing today,” Unforgettable Maple giggled, filled with confidence. Innocent Child was not worse than Elevenless, Lu Li was comparable to Midnight Ghost, and Water Fair was much better than Hornet’s Nest. He, as the Canine King, was going to properly crush Dream 13.

Lu Li couldn’t be bothered paying attention to him. Having the 98k but not the 8x scope meant nothing.
“Lu Li, I have an 8x scope. Let me show you.”
Water Fairy had found an 8x, just as Lu Li was thinking about how he didn’t have one.
“I don’t have one either,” Unforgettable Maple mumbled bitterly.
“Neither do I,” Innocent Child followed suit.
If it was anyone else, they would not dare joke with Lu Li and Water Fairy, especially if they were new players who wanted to join Ruling Sword. However, Innocent Child was different because his position now gave him the seniority to joke with them.
Then again, this also depended on what type of joke. A small joke like this didn’t hurt anyone’s principles. If instead Innocent Child recoiled back, then it would be awkward for everyone.
“You guys don’t even have a 98k. Why should we give you the 8x?” Water Fairy assertively stood her ground.
Even though the airport was huge, it attracted many players. The search was pretty much done by this point. There appeared to be a lot of level 3 sets farmed in this round. Lu Li himself had seen at least three Level 3 Helmets, while each of them had a Level 3 Armor. With the exception of Unforgettable Maple, each of them had a Level 3 Bag too.
The only regret was that they were lacking higher-magnification scopes. Everyone usually would have a 4x, but after all this, they hadn’t even found a second one.
“Go kill people and take theirs,” Lu Li said after he had a look at the second restriction circle. It was probably a good idea for everyone to leave the airport.
“Someone probably cut-off the bridge,” Innocent Child said, voicing his judgment.
“Cut off the bridge… Ahaha… Yay to a nice welcome. I was just feeling worried that no one was robbing me,” Unforgettable Maple replied arrogantly. “How about I go and sneak a peak of where Elevenless and the others are at? We can go and loot them!”
“Oh, Maple Sis, have you no principles? How can you watch the live stream and snipe them?” Water Fairy retorted.
Even though it wasn’t a professional role, Water Fairy was scared of these people who went straight for the live stream. They knew the position of the streamer and would sneakily go after them.
“Okay, okay,” Unforgettable Maple said, raising his hands in defeat.
The group of players found a car and headed straight for the bridge, then found a boat along the coastline, which made crossing the river a trivial task.
Unforgettable Maple was arrogant in his words, but he wasn’t wrong. For their level, they could fight back even if someone cut-off the bridge.
The black car reached the end of the bridge and drifted to a sudden stop.
The four players exited one after the other and immediately looked for a bunker. As they prepared to observe the middle of the bridge to see if there was a possible ambush amongst where the used cars were, there was a gunshot. Unforgettable Maple suddenly fell to the floor.Read latest chapters at vipnovel.com
It was a 98k!
Lu Li aimed toward that position and went berserk with his King of Cars gun, to the extent that the shooter couldn’t even lift their head. The only way to help Unforgettable Maple was to help him buy time and have him crawl towards a concealed place.
If he didn’t crawl to a safe position then the enemy would definitely kill him.
They would never have thought that the robber on the bridge was of such high level. One shot was enough to knock down a player.
“Damn you Elevenless! You bastard! How dare you attack me!” Unforgettable Maple cursed as he crawled.
Only then did everyone see the system’s notification. It said that Unforgettable Maple had been attacked by Eleventh Prince with a 98K. No wonder Unforgettable Maple was so angry!
A strong possibility was that Elevenless had run to Water Fairy’s side, then watched Lu Li and the other’s position in this situation. After this, he ran ahead onto the bridge to attack them.

In The Maw Of The Gods
Synopsis Lilly Harper was always the type to keep to herself. She struggled to make friendships and so, she simply opted not to. That was why moving to the coastal town of Wilham didn’t bother her. She wasn’t leaving anybody behind and she certainly didn’t expect to be making any friends any time soon. However, when she starts hearing about the school’s “Magic Club”—a group of weirdos who claim that magic is real, she can’t deny that she’s slightly intrigued. Then without warning, she suddenly finds herself wrapped up with them. And what if they aren’t crazy? What if magic is actually real? And what if it’s because of that magic that something more powerful than they could ever conceive of is drawn to Wilham? I plan to follow a release schedule of Tuesday/Friday. Average chapter length will be 4,000 to 6,000 words and I will be using multiple POV's quite often. Also to note, while I am flagging the story with content warnings, I am only doing so because there are specific moments where it will be needed. Overall, the story will be relatively tame and I plan to put extra warnings at the beginning of chapters that it applies to. Thank you to everybody who decides to give my story a chance and I hope you enjoy it!
