The Great Thief Chapter 1477 – Little Red Dragon is Here!
Translator: Exodus Tales Editor: Exodus Tales
“Time is money. Dreamy, loot the items quickly. Everyone else, clear out the little monsters.”
They only had three days, so Lu Li needed to speed things up to the maximum.
Out of 40 of them, three people received a Skill Point. Generally speaking, this was quite a favourable outcome. Normally, when teams fought on the Nightmare difficulty, the average number of Skill Points given didn’t even exceed one per Boss. Perhaps this was an effect of the First Clear.
Enhancing Stones, Fusion Stones, Skill Books, rare materials – some were distributed and some were kept. Lu Li planned to give some of the stones to Drizzle Court and Peerless City. After all, this wasn’t their first time together. If there were chances to further their relationship, Lu Li didn’t mind sacrificing a little.
Enhancing Skill Books didn’t drop this time. Besides Mass Tranquillity and the Summoning Portal, the other ones weren’t worth much. Even Skill Books were put up for auction in the team.
Gold and Dark Gold items were divided until there was nothing left. Lu Li didn’t want to waste time here, as the main focus was the Epic items. The top players sought after these the most.
The Black Book!
This was a Warlock item which would increase their Pet’s attack and was quite powerful.
All of the Warlocks competed over this item, but in the end, it was taken by Sesame Rice Ball.
The Untamed Blade!
This was a two-handed sword which sent the Paladins into a frenzy. This updated version of the game wasn’t the most favourable for them. There were many Paladins, but the drop-rate of their items was a little low. Many two-handed swords added skill points to Berserker skills, but not many for Paladins. Now, there was one that was specific to them, and the stats were quite good as well.

However, what really grabbed their attention was the aesthetics. The sword looked extremely handsome when it hung off a player’s back.
For Paladins, not only did it add to their battle capability, but also made them more attractive to females.
The difficulty of Blackwing Lair was high, but for the first Boss, they just needed to sort out the strategy properly. If they understood that, then it would be easy. From that day onwards, many teams would try and fight Razorgore. The Untamed Blade was also quite a popular item, so many Paladins were attracted to the dungeon.
After this, there was a T2 Bracer for Thieves!
Lu Li was shocked. This morning, he had chosen a T2 Bracer as a reward for one of his quests. However, another one had just popped out.
If only he had known this earlier, he could have chosen another item.
Regret was pointless, but he could use this to gain the favour of his future wife. The other Thieves in the team didn’t have any T2 items, but Water Fairy had two T2 items. Therefore, Lu Li used the excuse that Water Fairy could activate her set effect and bought it for her.
Of course, this item cost him a large amount of points.
Everyone laughed at Lu Pain in the Ass for a while, but no one was unhappy or disappointed about it.
Lastly, there was a Dragonspawn pet. Remnant Dream immediately gave it to herself. She was even happier than if she had received the most exquisite item.
They had already finished dividing up the loot while the other side was still clearing out the monsters.
After a while, they saw the second Boss of Blackwing’s Lair, Vaelastrasz the Corrupt.
Vaelastrasz had joined the Army of the Black Dragon because he was corrupted. Before his corruption, he was in the Red Dragonflight. He was originally a powerful figure in the Red Dragonflight, but it was said that he was ultimately corrupted due to the Black Dragons’ ambush while in pursuit of Nefarian.

To be powerful enough to make Nefarian flee, Vaelastrasz was clearly terrifying.
In Lu Li’s previous life, the game company had made a list of the Bosses that had killed the most players. The Red Dragon was in the top three.
Vaelastrasz was known by the players as an ‘Abyss for Gold Coins’. This was because many average guilds would try and fight him, but would wipe continually. Many guilds disbanded because they could no longer progress past this point.
However, since Lu Li chose to raid now, it meant that he was confident. Otherwise, he wouldn’t dare to try and offend so many people.
Secretly activating the Dragon Slayer’s Roar did not make a lot of people happy either. Some people suggested Lu Li to let the Alliance know in advance before activating the buff, so that they could have an advantage over the Horde players.
For normal players, there was only the battle between the Alliance and the Horde.
However, for Lu Li and the other managers of pro clubs, only the other clubs were their opponents, not the Horde. Glory Capital was the biggest threat. Other clubs like Seventh Heaven, Wings of Dawn were also viable threats.
As for this Boss whose hands were soaked in players’ blood, Lu Li didn’t have any hope of fighting him in his previous life.
However, with great curiosity, he researched into every detail about the fight against the little Red Dragon. Therefore, he had great confidence that he could defeat this Boss. He also had a new strategy to try out that he hadn’t attempted before.
After progressing to the Red Dragon, Lu Li swapped out most of the people from the first team, then brought the second team into this Instance Dungeon.
The other groups would be watching this from the live broadcast, so that they would also understand the mechanics of the Boss. Although they weren’t experiencing the Boss’ power first-hand, they still had the opportunity to watch Lu Li’s strategy at work.
This would eventually be a widely-used strategy among the pro clubs.
Lu Li thought about using it before, but Ruling Sword couldn’t do it. There weren’t enough elite players. A 40-man squad was already difficult enough to assemble, so it was simply impossible to make three distinct teams.
This was the case until now, where Drizzle Court and Peerless City had been brought along to the Instance Dungeon.
However, Lu Li didn’t immediately reveal the strategy in the beginning, because he didn’t know if they were going to adapt to the three guilds working together. After all, Ruling Sword had deployed the least people, yet they were reaping the most rewards.
Haze from Peerless City just couldn’t reconcile with that fact.
Lu Li was going to give up on working together with the other guilds. After all, they could just expand
by themselves and employ the strategy later on. Unexpectedly, Peerless City was suddenly flipped upside down, so Water Fairy gained huge control over them. This allowed Lu Li to once again fight this little Red Dragon.
There were four teams in total. Team 1 was the main team and the other three were pretty much cannon fodder.
Team 1 killed the first Boss to show off their strength and to build chemistry together. After reaching the second Boss, they began to rest. They would watch the other teams fight first, then once they felt ready, they would begin fighting properly.

Destinatus
Volume 1: Follows the story of an amnesiac named Gratus whose narrative reflects the fragmentation in his mind. His journey to restore his memories pits him against monsters and questionable allies that seem to want him dead. Volume 2: Prequel to volume 1 that follows Cogito's narrative, a rising star that is tied to a family legacy he cannot escape. Connects the fragments in volume 1 and expands on the world of Dominia. **Author’s Note: Cover Art and Synopsis is subject to change. I just wanted to post my story here to get feedback and improve it, so it’s okay to be brutally honest! What I am posting is a rough draft so I don't mind rewritting whole chapters and segments of stories as long as it doesn't make the story worse haha. **Author’s Note: LitRPG elements begins in Volume 2, same with potentially traumatising content.
