The Great Thief Chapter 1215 – Huge Gain

What did he leave behind?
It was a cape and although it didn’t look fancy, Lu Li could immediately tell that this was no ordinary item. Beneath its plain disguise, the cape was filled with inscriptions.
This was at least a Legendary!
Blessing of the Demon Hunter (Legendary): Armor 120, Agility +80, Strength +50, Constitution+30, 2 Slots. Special Effect 1: Dodge +15%. Special Effect 2: Instant Cast. Caster spreads a pair of demon wings upon activating. Immediately boosts movement speed by 300%, lasts 1.5 seconds, cooldown 60 seconds. Special Effect 3: Demon Hunter’s Protection, 1 second cast time. Caster gains power from the twisted void, increasing their magic resistance by 80%, attack damage by 60% and becoming immune to all fear effects, lasts for 5 seconds, cooldown 10 minutes. Equipment level requirement 60, Durability 260/260.
Just the stats alone were better than Lu Li’s current equipment.
Lu Li’s current cape was just a level 50 item, and it certainly wasn’t Legendary either. At this point, Lu Li was not sure if his equipment was better than anyone else’s.
After all, money was always the strongest buff, regardless of time.
Cloak of Eventide (Dark Gold): Amour 55, Agility +40, Constitution +25, Special Effect 1: Movement Speed +10%, Special Effect 2: Instant Cast, release a smoke bomb with a radius of three yards. This increases the evasion rate of the caster by 30% within the smoke. 3 second duration, 2 minute cooldown. Special Effect 3: Petrify. Allows the caster to reduce damage taken by petrifying themselves. Reduces damage taken by 60% for two seconds, 8 minute cooldown. Equipment Requirement: Level 50. Durability 198/198.
This was a huge difference overall, so there was no need for Lu Li to think through before deciding.
The Dodge would allow him to occasionally avoid getting hit with a critical strike, and it also reduced the final output of a critical strike that landed on him. It was a very useful special effect.

Special effect two seemed unfamiliar, but Lu Li remembered it from the battle with the Demon Hunter. When Loramus spread his wings, it seemed as if he got up close to Razelikh almost in an instantaneous flash. For Lu Li, this was useful for him to position himself, and he looked like a phantom when he used this.
The effect only had a 1.5 second duration, which was slightly worse than Loramus’ effect.
Lu Li wasn’t sure how much he could do within such a short span of time. Perhaps it wasn’t as effective as a Mage’s teleport, but one thing was certain – this was definitely a visually appealing special effect.
Lu Li could say that each of the special effects individually weren’t much to brag about, but with the combination of three special effects into one item, the third effect was far too generous.
However, in order to equip this cape, Lu Li would need some level requirement reduction stones.
It had been days since these types of stones appeared in an auction. There were so many players in China, so it would be impossible to not even have a single one on the market. It was probably because the finals were approaching and everyone was using their resources to stock up for battle.
This Legendary cape was essential; no one would complain about having too many burst-type special effects.
Just as he was about to disappear, Terobo pointed at the three charms that were left on the ground and said, “These three talismans have already been used, so there’s not much energy left in them, but…”
Lu Li immediately paid attention; did these three worthless items still have some kind of value?
“But, the pressure from the Demon King onto his slaves still remain on them. With these talismans, you can reduce the strength of those three traitors by 30%. Thank-you, and farewell, my friend.” Terobo disappeared with the sandy wind that swept by.
“Thanks, my friend,” Lu Li whispered as he carefully picked up the three talismans.

The descriptions of the talismans had been edited, and each one’s description was changed according to its owner. They allowed the user to apply pressure to the Bosses using the Demon King’s power.
Reduces overall power of target by 30% – lasts 30 minutes, cooldown 10 minutes, 2/2 uses remaining.
Level 60 wild Bosses weren’t easy; it was very rare for guilds to try and attempt these Bosses.
Firstly, the damage of these Bosses was too high, and no one could really tank them. Deaths during the battle were also an important issue. Secondly, the battle duration was too long. There was no guarantee that information would not leak out to the other guilds, who would attempt to interrupt them.
However, if the Bosses had their overall power reduced by 30%, they wouldn’t be as frightening.
No matter how strong these Bosses were, they were still designed to be taken down by players. Moreover, these talismans could be used twice, which meant that players were allowed to be defeated by the Bosses once.
What if the players beat them in one go? That would be even better – they get another free kill on the Boss after the refresh.
These three talismans that looked unimportant actually became the biggest reward for Lu Li’s quest this time!
After all, this promised the loot of three Wild Bosses!
Lu Li spread his wings and flew out from the Blasted Lands. His quest, that had almost taken the entire day, was finally completed.
During the process, he had met the soul of a Horde Hero, a Demon Hunter who was willing to sacrifice himself to take down a demon, a Sea Giant and a master blacksmith.
Although some of these people had already disappeared and some of them would never come across Lu Li again, some of them would also come to use in the future.
Regardless, this was all part of the game and no matter how you were impacted by its content, it would still contribute to your gaming career.
Lu Li took a stone out from the storage to reduce the level requirement of the cape.
In the other slot, he placed a stone that boosted his health by 200 points. He then used some Fortified Stones on the cape and enhanced it to +3.
Of course, during the battle against Gale Legion, Lu Li wasn’t going to use every ace that he had up his sleeve.
Gale Legion was a tough enemy, but Ruling Sword weren’t pushovers either. Their biggest enemy this time was still Glory Capital. As for the upcoming match between Drizzle Court and Glory Capital, he could almost guarantee Drizzle Court’s defeat.
The three Bosses had to be taken down as soon as possible. They had to increase their strength dramatically before the finals to make all their hard work worthwhile.
Lu Li’s little team obviously wasn’t enough to battle these level 60 Wild Bosses.
He needed at least one to two hundred fighters and other support players. In case their location was leaked out, these other support players would be sitting at the outer circle to buy time for everyone.
At the same time, these three Bosses needed to be fought in a sequence. It was best to kill the hardest one first, then the easiest one last. After all, the First Clear announcement would tell everyone that Ruling Sword was fighting a Boss and if the other two Bosses were to drag out for too long, they would have to deal with the other major guilds too.
They needed to take out the hardest one first, then silently defeat the other two weaker ones.
Lu Li had all these plans, but there was no way he would be able to complete them today. He was too tired already from the day’s work and wouldn’t be able to continue with commanding the battles.
