The Great Thief Chapter 732: Fight
Lu Li hesitated for a split second and gave up his attempt of trying to test these monsters.
These monsters didn't look easy to defeat, so it was best if he didn't have to fight any of them. He wasn't here to kill – he just needed to pick some Moongrass and make a Moongrass potion from it.
Whether one potion was enough wasn't Lu Li's concern.
The Clawed Druids were very strong, and if you could prove that these potions were useful to them, they would invest all of their energy into finding Moongrass. Perhaps they might even start a war with the Wyrmbog. Of course, these weren't any of Lu Li's concerns either.
After some effort, he finally discovered the first Moongrass plant.
This was a plant hidden within other plants. It had dark green leaves with a small, white flower and was hard to differentiate if you didn't pay enough attention.
However, there were two Dragonspawns that stood to the left of this Moongrass.
It wasn't realistic to wait for them to walk away, then pick the plant. One of them also had vision of the Moongrass, so there was no hope in trying to pick it discretely.
It seemed like his only option was violence.
Lu Li hesitated for a bit, but decided against calling the others. Authority was great, but if he gave up on his own strength and became comfortable with falling back on assistance, would eventually fall like Sorrowless.
He was once a God Mage, but he had become so weak that even a newbie like Lu Li could kill him.
For most players, Lu Li assassinating Sorrowless was just a legend, but it had a lot more impact on these two players as individuals. Sorrowless worked himself once again, trying to climb his way back. On the other hand, Lu Li constantly reminded himself not to become an easy target for others.

He picked the most suitable route where there wasn't too much mud or water, then slowly went into Stealth mode as he crept over.
The Dragonspawn who was in closer proximity seemed to have noticed something and turned towards Lu Li.
"Damn it, this monster's detection level is so high," he cursed to himself.
Lu Li gradually lowered his body and stopped moving; he even slowed down his breathing.
Every Thief knew how to Stealth, but not many of them were actually good at it. Besides Detection and Stealth attributes, the other factor that affected Stealth was a player's technique.
Lu Li was particularly skilled in this; he adjusted himself and disappeared from the Dragonspawn's detection. After the Dragonspawn scanned around in confusion, it turned back to do its own thing.
With his lesson learned, Lu Li began to pay full attention. He snuck up behind the Dragonspawn and Sapped it. Because of the difference in level, the Sap only lasted for about ten seconds.
For an excellent Stealth player, a perfect Sap would be casted on the target, even when they were fully prepared for it.
The reason why Lu Li joined the Ravenholdt Manor was because he wanted to learn Empowerment: Sap. Ravenholdt Manor was probably one of the best organizations in Azeroth that was familiar with Sap.
This had nothing to do with his reincarnation, rather, it was a well-known fact.
Unfortunately, his reputation wasn't high enough, so he couldn't exchange for the skill book.
After he Sapped one monster, his dagger quickly stabbed into the back of the second Dragonspawn's head as he successfully casted Cheap Shot.
This monster had 4500 HP and Lu Li began to calculate as he continued to deal damage.
Of course, it wasn't possible to kill the monster with one rotation of skills; he might not even be able to accomplish the task with two. What Lu Li was currently worried about was if these two monsters would call for help. If a few more of them appeared, he would have to make a run for it.

The Sapped monster had only just woken up, but Lu Li had already tossed some Blind Powder at it, successfully blinding it.
The monster that he attacked didn't have much health left either. He even performed a critical strike when it only had a few hundred health points left, which was a waste. Lu Li looted the dropped items and went into Stealth, then pounced onto the other Dragonspawn.
The experience reward was great, but it had taken him a lot of time and wasn't efficient.
While Lu Li complained about the System settings in his mind, he bent down low to pick up the Moongrass.
He needed five of these to make a potion, so his task had only just begun. In order to find other refresh spots for the Moongrass, Lu Li was forced to venture deeper into Wyrmbog
He found a second one with luck that had no Dragonspawns watching over it.
However, Lu Li didn't dare let his guard down because there were two Dragonspawn bodies nearby. Fresh blood dripped down the small, thin wounds as an irony scent mixed in with the foul stench of the marsh.
There was no way that these Dragonspawn had suddenly died, and they certainly didn't kill each other.
They had likely been killed by someone else who was still lurking nearby. The player in Stealth probably had the same target in mind as Lu Li – Moongrass.
The other player had probably heard some noise and went into Stealth before he got the chance to pick up the plant.
If Lu Li's assumptions were right, the other player was sitting beside the plant, waiting for him to leave or for an opportunity to attack.
Under normal circumstances, Lu Li would have left.
Most players who weren't interested in PVP wouldn't cause extra trouble for themselves during their quests.
However, Moongrass was such a rare item and Lu Li wasn't afraid of a fight either.
As such, he quietly snuck up beside the Moongrass, carefully probing around to see if he could catch the other player.
Lu Li's technique was good and his equipment also increased his Stealth and Detection attributes. However, he still couldn't find his opponent.
Had they already left?
This wasn't possible – if they were strong enough to come to Wyrmbog for this plant, they would at least be level 40. Although Thieves around this level played dirty, none of them really feared anything.
Lu Li decided to show himself to lure the other player out and bent down beside the Moongrass, as if he was really going to pick the plant.
Regardless other player's purpose, they were still here for the Moongrass anyway.
Ding!
As their daggers clashed, a pure, ringing sound chimed out. One of them had been patiently waiting while the other was prepared. Neither of them had the advantage, but at least Lu Li had gotten what he wanted. It seemed like his opponent really wanted to stop him.
After their brief encounter, both Thieves showed themselves and the Moongrass sat quietly between them.
"Undead!"
"Elf!"

There is only one problem: she may be losing control of her abilities. Sixteen years after a global pandemic devastated the earth’s population, the lines in the old United States have been drawn between the Cheyenne Directorate in Colorado and the New England Alliance on the East Coast. The Directorate, of which Alexandra is a part, is a small but powerful organization dedicated to returning the country to its former glory. However, when a diplomatic mission to the New England Alliance goes wrong, Alexandra finds herself at the center of a bloody civil war. Battles are fought on the old highways and in dilapidated towns and once-great cities. And as the conflict escalates, all of North America faces the threat of being burnt away by nuclear fire. Against this backdrop of war, Alexandra tries to uncover the long-hidden secrets behind the plague, her abilities, and the two men fighting to decide the fate of the United States - Henry Bedford, Alexandra's father and leader of the Directorate, and John Martin, the mysterious figure at the heart of the New England Alliance who may hold the key to everything she seeks. None of this will matter, however, unless Alexandra can prevent the power growing inside her from taking over and consuming the very world she is fighting to save. Author's Notes: I appreciate you taking a look at my novel, The Girl from the Mountain. If you're a fan of post-apocalyptic fiction, military thrillers, and/or cosmic horror, I think you'll enjoy this story. I completed the novel's first draft back in 2011 and made significant changes in 2016. Since then, I've more-or-less sat on the manuscript while working on other projects. Thanks to a bit of prodding, I've decided to send this story out into the wild with some touch-ups and additional revisions. I welcome any comments or criticisms, and I hope you enjoy The Girl from the Mountain!
