The Great Thief Chapter 677
In fact, there actually weren't many highlights in this fight.
Lu Li's fighting was straightforward and forced the Priest to use up all his mana. The only talking point was about how a Priest could maximize their mana usage.
Dusk Paint had become the negative example.
In his panic, he had cast his skills randomly without discipline, which not only increased the speed of his healing, but also caused his healing to be inefficient.
For example, he would first use his continuous healing skill, which was then supposed to be followed up with normal healing so he could stack them. However, he would instead cast the continuous healing skill again, which would cancel the first one.
After fighting for three and a half minutes, he was already out of mana.
This may have been the quickest time in which a Priest had run out of mana. A Priest that was good at controlling their mana usage could continue healing for more than half an hour.
After the fight, Lu Li sold his arena room.
The system would reclaim a player's room for a price depending on the room's ranking.
Lu Li's room sold for more than 40 gold.
In addition to the audience tickets, there was more than 100 gold in profit. Even if he didn't have the support of a guild, fighting in the arena was a good source of income.
When it was almost time to log off, Lu Li and Water Fairy met up to discuss a quest.
The last time the two of them were given a quest by Ravenholdt Manor, they had to fight a Boss. Although the crisis was probably over, they decided to play it safe and go in one at a time. If something came up, they would deal with it, then tell the other person about it.

The next day, Lu Li went to the Southshore hotel.
The town was fairly peaceful. The current number of players here was not high as the war had not yet reached this town. Moreover, this was where Ashbringer was born, which deterred players from either faction.
Lu Li went into the inn and sat in his usual position.
There were only a few people here, but they sat out in the open, wanting to be seen. It was only Lu Li that wanted to hide himself.
"A glass of ale, right?" the hostess asked with a smile.
If an NPC had this kind of intelligence, they would definitely be someone important. She was even able to notice the emotions of players, which in this case was Lu Li's awkwardness.
He hadn't been here for quite some time, but the Hostess' smile helped with his nervousness.
"Yes, one glass of ale," Lu Li nodded.
After waiting for some time, the hostess put down a glass and left. Lu Li stayed in his corner and watched as more players started coming in. These players probably never had breakfast in real life, but they had developed a habit of having breakfast at this inn.
The inn was now playing game news, which was what that attracted players to eat here.
Jungle Hut Announcer: Great Mage Meryl Winterstorm responds to some questions. At 1445, he is one of the oldest surviving mages, but a thousand years ago, he transformed himself into an Undead. As to whether he was still alive or nor, Meryl thinks that it is exactly like being alive…
The next piece of news was about the Mage adventurer Sorrowless that had completed a chain quest and had gained some great power. According to eye witnesses, it was some kind of strong Mage ability. Jungle Hut was going to continue following closely.

After accepting an interview, Majin Temple's Unforgettable Maple was jokingly called a 'maple girl' and angrily left, dropping the microphone.
Yesterday, a mysterious master had appeared in the arena. Not only did he defeat Elevenless, but he even managed to defeat three players at once. Some game experts speculated that such an overwhelming victory of the expert players cast a shadow of doubt over the long-term sustainability of Dawn.
Most of this news was about the players – after all, few NPCs would be willing to deal with so-called journalists. If someone tried to have an interview with Sargeras, they might just get killed.
The few bits and pieces that Lu Li heard were all about the star racers.
Jungle Hut in particular specialized in content about star racers. They had friendly relations with most guilds and could obtain first hand inside information.
The ordinary players were also quite curious about these high-level players, so the Jungle Hut radio station actually turned out to be the most popular one.
However, Lu Li was bored when he listened to them as most of this news wasn't even a secret. Some stories were even just hearsay or a creation of the writer's imagination.
Water Fairy was 30 minutes late to their appointment, but Lu Li wasn't impatient.
His mentality was quite good in this respect and when he finally saw Water Fairy, he calmly greeted her.
At the same time, the radio was broadcasting a report about her. A professional player called Late Stormy Night had publicly proposed to Water Fairy and had called on his fans to help him seek her out. The woman had still not yet responded.
"Sorry, I'm late," Water Fairy apologized as she sat across from Lu Li, frowning when she heard the broadcast on the radio.
Her good mood was immediately ruined. This wasn't some harmless confession, and Water Fairy couldn't even help who decided to like her. This was rather high-profile and the fact that he called for his fans to help made it even worse.
Water Fairy never thought that there was anything romantic about big groups working together like that.
"I haven't been here for long either; it's only been 30 minutes," Lu Li said plainly as he shook his glass.
"Heh," Water Fairy laughed suddenly and shook her head, feeling like Lu Li was really something else. The first half of that statement by itself would be a common and nice thing to say. It would have meant that he had only been here for a little while and that no one had to feel bad.
However, when he added the second half, the meaning completely changed.
No wonder some people said that this guy would probably stay alone forever – he didn't even understand a simple custom like this. There was definitely a huge drop-off between his IQ and his EQ.
