The Great Thief Chapter 599: Voodoo Set
Everyone thought about it and had to agree.
Apart from the wild Bosses and dungeon Bosses in Dawn, there were also quest Bosses.
In summary, all the wild Bosses had a lot of health, so it usually took around 100-200 players to kill them. While the strength of the dungeon Bosses depended on the dungeon, overall, they were still weaker than their wild counterparts.
However, it had been a while since they had encountered a Boss with 40,000 HP.
Even a semi-boss in the wild had around 10,000 HP.
A smart player like Wandering immediately understood what was going on.
"I get it. After the Boss turns on us, his health points will change, right? Will he be full health then?"
"Hehe, what if it’s based on ratio? We don’t have any losses anyway," Lu Li laughed.
He couldn’t tell the others that he had completed this dungeon before.
The mercenaries didn’t have their own team channel, but they were programmed with crazy thoughts. With an exchange of glances, they had already decided upon the fate of these adventurers.
Shadowpriest Sezz’ziz eventually died, and the NPCs held down Nekrum Gutchewere. As long as the players dealt enough damage and the healers didn’t run out of mana, they would eventually kill the boss.
This was the value of these mercenaries.
They could turn on the mercenaries as soon as the Shadowpriest died, but Lu Li wouldn’t do that. It couldn’t be helped that he had to attack a goblin when he first started the game, but anyone who turned on an NPC first would be unwise.
Not to mention, the mercenaries were helping them with Nekrum Gutchew, so why not keep them around for longer?
Nekrum Gutchewer didn’t have a lot of health. At this point, he had around half of his health remaining and was killed within minutes with the help of players. After all, he wasn’t capable of healing himself.

Sergeant Brad had 1325 HP.
It would be hard to control his health if it got any lower, since he was fighting a Boss. Although Nekrum Gutchewer didn’t have many skills, his basic attacks definitely stood up to his Boss title.
As soon as Nekrum Gutchewer fell, Lu Li immediately walked up to Sergeant Brad and asked, "Can you fulfill our agreement now?"
He couldn’t wait for long – Sergeant Brad’s health was rapidly regenerating.
"You naive adventurers – did you really think I’d give you twenty Gold equips? You’d only be able to profit off a mercenary over his dead body, haha…" Sergeant Brad laughed out loud.
Following this, all his comrades turned into an attackable state apart from Weegli – he was only a guide. He couldn’t fully trust these mercenaries who had him caught by the Trolls. As such, he maintained his positive attitude with Lu Li and his team.
"Hmmm? Weegli, you coward – are you planning to fight against us?" Sergeant Brad’s taunted as his health limit rapidly increased.
"No, Mr. Brad. I’m just a guide; I won’t participate in any battles." Previously, they were fighting for freedom, but the battle right now didn’t comply with the Goblin.
"Then stay away. Watch how I teach these greedy adventurers a lesson. I’ll show them the definition of regret," Sergeant Brad said as he waved his long sword, then commanded his three comrades, "Comrades, kill them. Their goods now belong to us."
Azure Sea Breeze and the others looked on, as if they were watching a clown.
The limit of Sergeant Brad’s health increased up to 200,000. This seemed quite intimidating, but his health bar wasn’t full. In fact, it was barely filled.
"So it is based on ratio! 1500 health points would be equivalent to 40,000 health points. 200,000 health points was equivalent to 7500 health points. This is truly… this is probably the weakest boss in history," Wandering sighed.

Azure Sea Breeze charged on like a crazy lion, mumbling under his breath.
A Boss with 7500 HP was a piece of cake, even if he was level 40.
Forty seconds.
System: Sergeant Brad has been successfully slain. You have received a skill point reward.
Compared to the experience that he received, Lu Li liked his skill point reward more. He had plenty of ways to gain experience, but there were no guides that gave him skill points.
The rest of the mercenaries also had to be killed because they were in an aggressive state. However, they were only minions of Sergeant Brad, so they couldn’t drop any equipment or experience.
The ground was filled with corpses, but Lu Li and the others only paid attention to three of them – Nekrum Gutchewer, Shadowpriest Sezz’ziz and Sergeant Brad. What would these three Bosses drop for them?
This was Remnant Dream’s happiest moment; there were so many corpses waiting for her to loot.
She decided to loot Nekrum Gutchewer first. The first item was a weapon for her – the Diabolic Skiver.
This was a Gold grade longbow with high damage and a focus on Agility. It had a certain chance to buff the attack attribute of pets, as well as a movement speed reduction effect. This slowed the movement speed of a nearby target and helped with kiting in general.
She placed this item into her bag without a second thought; this was a level 40 weapon that she couldn’t equip yet.
The second item was a Warrior spell book, and was distributed to Moonlight.
Nekrum Gutchewer only dropped these two items. Since he had dropped a Gold grade weapon, it was hard to expect more. There were also two more Bosses waiting for the little Hunter.
The little Hunter bent down beside Shadowpriest Sezz’ziz.
Lu Li was a little anxious – this was the Boss amongst the three with the greatest chance of dropping something worthwhile.
This was the First Clear on Nightmare mode as well.
"Voodoo Shoulder Plates. Oh, another mold, but it’s a shame it’s not a set with the previously looted glove," Remnant Dream announced in disappointment.
However, there was nothing to be disappointed about.
"This is my equip; I already have the chest plate. March, help me make this item in your spare time; you can ask for the materials from Square Root 3. If we don’t have the materials, ask him to purchase it from the markets." Lu Li let out a sigh of relief; he had finally found the other piece of the Voodoo set.
There were four pieces in this set – the chest plate, shoulder plate, cape and helmet. If all four pieces were worn, two special effects would be activated. However, if only two pieces were worn, you would still gain access to one special effect.
Lu Li didn’t have too much hope in obtaining all four; he was happy with just two pieces from the set.
The rare materials used for these two pieces weren’t cheap, but the materials weren’t too hard to find either. Most of them can be found in the guild storage.
