“Just for a woman, you’re willing to step into my traps . Tsk tsk . . . ” After hearing Dylan Lu’s ridiculing note, the call ended .

“Of course . . . ” Under his breath, Ethan Lu muttered as he lifted his gaze at the abandoned warehouse before him .

Earlier, just as he was rushing to the location Dylan Lu sent, Ethan Lu received a call from Louis Lu . To his surprised, Louis Lu informed him that Lincoln Lu was on the move .

[What transpired an hour and a half ago . ]

Driving towards the location, Ethan Lu’s phone rang . Answering despite not checking who it might be, Louis Lu’s voice came from the earpiece .

“Did something happen?” Without further ado, Louis Lu asked to confirm . After all, he was still unsure if his father’s movements tonight involved Ethan Lu .

“Dylan kidnapped Lexi — I’ll kill him myself . ” Not surprised that Louis Lu was asking such a question, Ethan Lu’s grip on the steering wheel tightened .

He had been relying on the law and abiding it . Despite what dangers Dylan Lu could bring, Ethan Lu didn’t want his kids to have a murderer as a father . Therefore, he tried his best to keep everything legal .

However, right at this moment, Ethan Lu could not care less anymore . If Dylan Lu harmed Lexi . . . God forbid, he would kill someone tonight .

“My father has unusual activities tonight — head to the location I sent instead . It is most likely that those two had been working together . Dylan wouldn’t allow you to save your wife, that maniac just wants to kill you . ” Louis Lu paused, as an unreadable glint flashed across his eyes . “I’ll go to Dylan’s . . . we still have something to settle . ”

“Alright, thank you . ” Ethan Lu didn’t question anymore as he trusted Louis Lu’s deduction . After saying his piece, the call ended and immediately, his phone showed a map to a certain location .

Ethan Lu then called Lyrick Jiang and informed him about the change of their destination .

[Present Time]

“Master, this place is unusually unsecured — our men checked the surroundings, but no one is around . ” Walking up to Ethan Lu, Lyrick Jiang reported .

“I told you — no one is around . ” Churu chimed in, staring straight at the abandoned warehouse . “Everyone is inside . ” She solemnly informed .

Churu has never felt this unsettled for a long time . She has never smelled someone so familiarly dangerous that deserved to be a legend in hell .

Knowing that the people inside the desolate establishment were enemies, Churu expected for the worst . “Ethan, bring all your elite men inside — someone will die and that shouldn’t be you or Lexi . ” She advised .

Lyrick Jiang glanced at Churu’s solemn side profile before he pressed his earpiece and commanded all elites shadow guards to be vigilant and remain close to them .

“I know,” Without turning his eyes away from the establishment, Ethan Lu pulled out his pistol that was clipped on his back . He already knew that tonight was not any other nights .

Blood would shed and he needed to make sure it wouldn’t be him or Lexi . Therefore, for the first time in his life, he held on to his weapon with an intent to kill .

Ethan Lu and his group vigilantly entered the premises . However, as soon as they entered, Lincoln Lu was sitting crossed leg on a chair in the middle of the abandoned warehouse .

By the looks of it, he had expected Ethan Lu’s visit . Yet, there was no sign of fear in him .

“Master, what a surprise to have you in here!” Lincoln Lu’s words laced with malice as he welcomed Ethan Lu and his company .

Ethan Lu set his eyes on Lincoln Lu’s sneering front before his eyes shifted back to what surprised him — and everyone else — upon their arrival .

There, not far away from Lincoln Lu, Lexi was tied up while unconscious . The most dreading part was, they tied a bomb around her . Hence, Ethan Lu and his men could only aim their muzzle at the relaxed Lincoln Lu .

“You . . . ” Suppressing his raging temper, Ethan Lu ground his teeth as he glared daggers at Lincoln Lu .

Just at the sight of Lexi, those bombs around her, Ethan Lu was tempted to shoot Lincoln Lu to death . However, he couldn’t — afraid that his wife would blow into pieces .

“Master, please relax . Mrs . Lu will not blow up anytime soon . . . at least, for the next ten minutes . ” Lincoln Lu checked his wristwatch as he informed Ethan Lu about Lexi’s nearing end .

“Take that away from her now!” Desperate, Ethan Lu raised his pistol and aimed it at Lincoln Lu .

“I’m afraid I can’t . Also, please be careful with your toys — you might kill your wife if you pull the trigger accidentally . ” Raising both his hands, Lincoln Lu warned indifferently .

Meaning to say, if Lincoln Lu died, Lexi would suddenly blow up as well . Just this, Lincoln Lu successfully put a leash around Ethan Lu’s neck .

“What do you want?” Slowly, Ethan Lu put his gun down while his fist was trembling out of overwhelming fury and fear .

He couldn’t risk anything if Lexi is on the line; Churu as well . She couldn’t do anything reckless because she doesn’t know how to disarm a bomb .

Sure, Churu could appear in front of Lincoln Lu and intimidate him . However, Churu wasn’t a fool as she was well-versed that once Lincoln Lu dropped dead, not just Lexi but everyone inside would die because of the explosion .

“Do you want all my shares? Sure, you can have it all . Just — just leave Lexi out of this . ” Through his gritted teeth, Ethan Lu’s chest heaved up and down heavily .

Despite the anger in his heart, he couldn’t let his emotion take control over him . Even if he had to kneel down — kowtow, even — Ethan Lu would do it .

“My nephew, do you think that’s enough?” Chuckling at the vulnerable Ethan Lu, Lincoln Lu shook his head sideways . “What do you think I want?” His lips stretched from ear to ear, creating a chilling grin plastered on his face .

“Your life . ” Lincoln Lu added, leaving the whole surroundings in an utter silence .
