“Ricky, was that Lexi?” Snapping Lyrick Jiang back from his trance, Churu asked .

“Ah, yes . Go in — we’ll tail them . ” Refocusing his eyes on Churu, Lyrick Jiang gestured her to hitch inside the vehicle so they could catch up on their masters .

“Eh? Have you caught Dylan yet?” Knitting her brows, Churu asked once again as she entered the front passenger seat .

“No, not yet . ” Lyrick Jiang answered as he buckled his seat .

“Why not? You already know he’s involve in many illegal things?” Churu frowned as she tilted her head to the side . To her, she could not comprehend why they were stalling time if they could catch Dylan Lu in an instant .

“There are laws to follow . The authorities couldn’t arrest him without a warrant of arrest . ” While Lyrick Jiang revved up the engine, he answered in a matter-of-fact tone .

Although Ethan Lu had already filed a case against his cousin, it was just the case for the incident earlier . It still needed a proper and fair trial after all .

The reason why Lyrick Jiang had issued an all out investigation in Dylan Lu’s connection in the underworld . Moreover, as this case would pursue, the Lu Corporation would be inflicted as well and would be put under question regarding its operation .

No doubt why Ethan Lu was in such a distressing state . He was being sandwich in everything and must be thinking how to salvage as many things as he could .

Understandable, the Lu Corporation wasn’t the cleanest company . Hence, this might uncover the Lu Family’s history and the previous association with a mob family in the past .

“This world is really weird . ” Thinking of Lyrick Jiang’s explanation, Churu’s frown turned uglier .

“How are you feeling?” Sliding her hand to the front passenger seat where her husband perched, Lexi asked .

She constantly give him a side glance and the more Lexi see how distressed he was, the more she felt worried .

“Awful . ” Ethan Lu answered as he slid his hands to her . “I feel like my head will explode . ” He added through a mutter .

Since they entered the subdivision where her parents lived in, Lexi decided to pull over and then turned to Ethan Lu’s figure .

“Come, let me massage your head . ” Lexi offered . It’s the least she could do hence, if massaging his head would help, she wouldn’t mind doing it any time, anywhere .

Slowly, Ethan Lu opened his eyes as he looked at Lexi’s pair of worried eyes . “You’re really pretty, you know?” Out of nowhere, Ethan Lu complimented as he unhurriedly blinked his eyes while not breaking away his gaze from his lovely wife .

However, his compliment made Lexi roll her eyes . “I know and I also know you’re trying to divert your attention, Mister Lu . ”

“Can I kiss you?” Despite her sarcasm, Ethan Lu remained staring at her beautiful visage .

“Tsk,” Clicking her tongue, Lexi still leaned forward to leave a peck on his lips . However, before she could retract her head away from him, Ethan Lu’s palm held on the back of her head .

“Hmm!” Letting out a protesting moan, Lexi patted on his shoulder . However, that only caused him to press his lips against hers; harder and deeper .

Guiding her lips to open, his tongue twirled inside her . Lexi unconsciously grasp on his sleeves as she shut her eyes close .

“Hmm?” Knitting his brows, Ethan Lu frowned as he slowly break from their kiss . “What happened?” Sensing something wrong with her reaction, Ethan Lu sized her up with a narrowed eyes .

“Ah,” slightly disoriented, Lexi cleared her throat as she scratched the back of her head and draw away from him . “I just remembered Vic . ” Heaving a heavy sigh, the corner of her eyes slightly formed tears .

Lexi had been keeping her emotions balanced since earlier that day . Not just Ethan Lu, but also, Lexi had a rough day from all the news that rushed inside her mind .

“Right, you’re with her earlier . ” Ethan Lu nodded his head in understanding, he studied Lexi’s strange expression which made him curious . However, he remained silent and waited for his wife to regain her composure .

“You alright?” He asked after a minute as he slid his fingers in between hers .

“Yes — No, actually . ” Lexi nodded her head before she shook her head sideways . “I heard about what happened to Vic and Lu . . . and Dylan . ” After spouting Dylan Lu’s name, a deep sigh slipped from her lips .

“Dylan . . . right, Lou is after him . ” Recalling that he haven’t mention it to his wife, Ethan Lu also sighed in distress . “Did you find out what happened?” Since the reports haven’t reached Ethan Lu, he hoped that Lexi found out a thing or two .

“Yes . . . ” Hanging her head low, a bitter smile formed on the side of her lips . “Vic . . . she — Dylan drugged her and . . . ” Lexi’s voice cracked, unable to muster the words to tell Ethan Lu about the horrible thing that happened to Victoria Tang .

Lexi, though sounded calm and tried to cheer Victoria Tang — and then talked sense to Louis Lu �� she was enraged herself about Dylan Lu’s unforgivable sin .

“She was raped . ” Biting her lower lips harder, Lexi’s hand that Ethan Lu was holding clenched tighter, causing it to tremble . Little did she know, her fury about the said man would be heavier when Ethan Lu spoke .

“I see . . . ” not surprised about it, Ethan Lu had guessed it already . He just needed a confirmation which Lexi just did . “I also got to know it was him who was behind the minor accident earlier . “

“What?” Knitting her brows, Lexi raised her head as she peered at Ethan Lu’s side profile .

“I already pressed charges but, it still need a proper trial to prove him guilty . ” As disappointed as Lexi, Ethan Lu frowned .
