The Rise of the White Lotus Chapter 355 – Love, don't be mad~

The instant Lexi heard him say those words and pulled away from the pillar that was invading her space, Lexi’s brows uncontrollably twitched as a vein popped out on her forehead. Letting out a heavy and irked exhale, Lexi turned to the now panicking Ethan Lu as he profusely apologized to their child that was still inside her.

“God, Ethan…” Nearly rendered speechless, Lexi supported herself by her elbow as she turned to him with her brows arched. “Witness what? It’s in my w.o.m.b not as if I am right next to him, he can’t see what we’re doing.” Rolling her eyes, Lexi tried to calm her panic-stricken fiance. However, by the looks of it, Ethan Lu seemed he was entirely unconvinced.

“She can’t see us but she might feel the turbulence or whatever, love! How can we do this? No, no, this is bad!” Jolting, Ethan Lu sat up straight as he bit his thumb nail as if he was in a complicated situation while thinking how to correct his mistake.

God knows how he was literally worried at the moment as he pushed all the blame to his l.u.s.tful desire. Ethan Lu nearly forgot about Lexi’s pregnancy as he was totally aroused with the taste of her lips and every physical contact they had. If not for the fact that he called her ‘baby’, he would probably be hammering her insides without any reserve.

“Let’s call the doctor—”

“Ethan,” Just as he was about to suggest to bother his trusted doctor to check on her health or whatever other reasons, Lexi abruptly intervened. “I read a few articles and it is safe. I am not bleeding or needing to stay on the bed which means my pregnancy is not sensitive, alright?”

“No, dear. I trust you and I love you but we have to be careful.” Without blinking an eye, Ethan Lu argued back sounding adamant about his decision. Of course, this means that their heated moment finally faded away and Lexi was left hanging which irked her to the core.

“Tch, this—” Clinking her tongue in annoyance, Lexi ground her teeth as she glared daggers at the innocent fiance she has. “Ethan Lu, remember this!” With that said high note, Lexi grumpily slumped back to the bed and then harshly pulled the blanket to cover her body up to her head.

‘How could he be called a casanova without knowing this?! This guy!!’ Inside her mind, Lexi screamed her frustration as the steamy moment cooled down and now, she wasn’t in the mood to continue. Moreover, she was irritated by this innocence as she was uncertain if he was faking it or not.

However, no matter how she thinks that Ethan Lu has zero clues, she knew him very well to the point that she could tell when he’s lying or not. Therefore, although Lexi brainwashed herself that he might be faking it, alas, she could not completely think that was the case as he seemed he really doesn’t know.

“Love, don’t be mad…” Heavily sighing, Ethan Lu frowned as Lexi was fuming mad under the sheet. Crawling to her side, he slightly tugged the blanket yet, it was held tightly and securely as if even air was unable to intrude on her private space.

“I just want to make sure and my conscience tugged at me whenever I think that our child is inside you while we, you know.” In a defeated tone, Ethan Lu explained his side.

It was not like he didn’t want to continue as he was suffering as much as her with the abrupt interruption. Alas, what could he do? Just the thought of an innocent child inside Lexi and he/she might feel what they were doing, he could not bear himself to do it. After all, in what he perceived, it was like they were making love in front of their child which was unforgivable.

“We will visit the doctor tomorrow… we will only need to wait one day, okay?” Lying beside him, Ethan Lu hugged the soft ball called Lexi on his side that was still not responding to him. Pouting, Ethan Lu stayed to give his sincere apologies by his hug for as long as he could remember.

After some time, Ethan Lu lightly lifted the blanket. To his surprise, unlike earlier, he didn’t need to exert an effort to take a peek at Lexi that was now sleeping like a hard rock. Upon confirming that she indeed fell asleep, a chuckle escaped his mouth as he put the blanket down to her neck and cuddled with her.

“I’m sorry to make you sleep angry. Just this once, okay love?” Through a whisper, Ethan Lu left a soft peck on the back of her head before he rested his head on his pillow, still hugging her.

All the deities knew how hard it was and that it took all of his efforts to stop himself from continuing. After all, Lexi was the one to initiate and he never once refused this wonderful invitation. However, perhaps because of his trauma, he didn’t want to stain the eyes of his own child.

Indeed, it was that his parents were doing it in front of him. But, the fact that his mother opened his eyes to how cruel a person can be without any regard to what kind of impact it might do people, he didn’t want that. He wanted security and confirmation that he would not harm his own child even if it cost him his own libido.

As Ethan Lu placed a kiss on Lexi, he eventually fell asleep. Although he made Lexi mad, his heart was still content that they were together… and soon, it would be forever. Also, this was the happiest day of his life as he got engaged to the woman whom he loved so dearly and the revelation of starting a family sooner than he expected made his heart lift.

He didn’t know why and how Lexi got pregnant as they always used protection after the mishap on their first night. Alas, that wasn’t important because, at the very least, he got more of a reason to fight and protect the family of his own. He swore inside his heart that he would never abandon his family just like what his parents did.
