Ethan Lu glanced at Lyrick Jiang as if he was an idiot or braindead with his “real” question. Although Aubrey Ning was indeed sometimes… or rather, had a natural overbearing aura, Ethan Lu would not even hint at the woman about the showcase if he didn’t have something in mind.

“Huh?” Puzzled at the most unexpected response from his master, Lyrick Jiang knitted his brows in confusion. What does Ethan Lu mean by that? Didn’t he hint at Aubrey Ning about the said trade show because he wanted to help Lexi? Surely, Ethan Lu’s response this time was too vague to understand in just a short amount of minutes.

“Tsk tsk,” Clicking his tongue after taking a sip from the soothing tea, Ethan Lu blew the steam freely escaping from the cup. “Did you think my initial agenda was for them to come to terms? Tsk tsk, Rick you really disappoint me.” Sounding disappointed, Ethan Lu resumed taking sips of tea.

“Master, can you please enlighten me? I truly don’t understand. Even when you hinted to Miss Ning to drop by to the event doesn’t make sense to me.” Curious to the core, Lyrick Jiang refrained his eyes from sparkling as his curiosity was now completely piqued. He wouldn’t be able to sleep unless Ethan Lu would fill him in on the details— he even neglected to notice at how Ethan Lu lovingly addressed Lexi with different endearments.

“My, my, why would I tell you? Consider this as my revenge for betraying me.” He was slightly shaking his head sideways, Ethan Lu heaved a heavy sigh as if he was the one being wronged and appeared as if he was being forced to shut his mouth.

“But, be thankful that I am a very kind person, so I’ll give you a hint: knowing Miss Ning’s personality, even if I told her about the event, she wouldn’t mindlessly make a deal even if I tell her to— what a prideful woman.” Languidly leaning his back against the executive chair, Ethan Lu relished himself as he took a break from his work and enjoyed this cup of tea.

‘Miss Aubrey Ning… let’s see if you can be useful to me or not. I hope you won’t disappoint me.’ The corners of Ethan Lu’s lips curled upward, revealing a sly smirk. He didn’t mind whether Lexi could make a deal with Aubrey Ning or not… he just wanted Lexi to learn about the biggest turning point in the early stages of her career. Therefore, knowing Lexi, she would understand what he was trying to imply.

“Anyway, please ready the washboard later.” Raising his head to meet the dazed Lyrick Jiang— swimming in his pool of thoughts, Ethan Lu ordered with a satisfied smile on his face. Upon seeing how his master was smiling while asking for his punishment stage to be ready, Lyrick Jiang thought that his master must have turned into a masochist!

“Hehe, I must apologize in advance Miss Ning but exhibitor Yang was busy accommodating me for a moment. I hope Miss Ning would understand.” Unlike his leniency earlier, Benjamin Shao politely spoke— indirectly telling the woman who was oozing with sex appeal to back off first.

“But, I don’t understand— not one bit at all!” Innocent yet taunting, Aubrey Ning declared as if she was being unjustifiably wronged as she placed her palms with her rather long, red-painted nails on her chest. Although the woman was wearing a fitted business suit, she still looked so alluring and curvy— taking the business attire and making it much sexier than lingerie.

That instant, the people who could only watch the two bigshots in the skincare industry somehow they saw a bolt of lightning clashed between the two. On the other hand, Lexi could not be bothered how and why these two ended up in her group’s booth as her priority was to pull out the tampered facial cleanser.

Glancing at Nico Zhuang, fortunately, he seemed to have the same idea as her as their eyes met before Nico Zhuang nodded in understanding. He didn’t need to hear it from her or even see Lexi mouth her instructions as he completely understood her top concern at the moment. Thus, without making a noise, Nico Zhuang faded from the crowd bringing the bottle of facial cleanser with him. He also brought out the rest of her facial cleanser in stock as he could not trust that there wasn’t any defect in those stocks as well.

Lexi discreetly watched Nico Zhuang via her peripheral vision and could only sigh in relief when he was gone to god knows where. The most important thing right now was that the damn thing was now gone— saving her starting career. She then shifted her gaze to Shella Du’s direction who was evidently fuming in anger inside her mind.

‘Stella Du, now you’ve done it.’ Letting out a secret scoff, Lexi thought of a way to anger the unreasonable woman until she dies from insecurity. Hence, with that thought in mind, Lexi brightly smiled and altered her gaze from Benjamin Shao to Aubrey Ning who were still having a battle of deadly stares.

“Mr. Shao, Miss Ning, why don’t I introduce to you about my product at the same time?” Breaking the battle of glares between the two, Lexi picked up a bottle of another product from her bag. Fortunately, she forgot to unload her bag and still had the other facial foam she created that she had put her heart and soul into formulating it was unintentionally with her at this moment.

“If you are both interested, please take a seat.” Gesturing them to take a seat on the small round table, Lexi politely invited them. For a minute, Benjamin Shao and Aubrey Ning showed their displeasure as both of them were unwilling to listen together as they competed for Lexi’s attention. However, since both assumed that the other was interested, they would surely compete for this one product just because of their huge ego and pride. Of course, Lexi already thought about it that is why she had the audacity to invite the two together and didn’t choose who to accommodate between the two of them.
