“Mr. Shao, this is the booth of the most talented students in our class.” Just then, Stella Du, along with Benjamin Shao and three other individuals arrived at Lexi’s booth.

Stella Du sweetly gestured and pointed at the booth with her palms open wide, acting as the host. Thus, the four people followed the direction of her gesture and smiled back at the group of students from inside and outside of the booth.

“Mr. Shao,” Each and every one slightly bowed their heads in respect towards the man excluding Lexi who was in the midst of shock and analyzing. Since they were all inclined in the industry, they knew all of the big shots in the line of this business they had picked. Therefore, it wasn’t surprising that they knew the man.

“Stella, are you sure they are the elite group in your class?” Despite his courteous smile, Benjamin Shao leaned towards Stella Du on his side and whisper. However, his supposed to be low inquiry reached the group, as if he purposely intended them to hear his obvious mockery.

“Mr. Shao, of course, they are! After all, the head of their group was the second to our class!” Giggling back seeing the displeased faces of Lexi’s team, Stella Du heartily announced. “Her last name is Yang; Lexi Yang.”

When Lexi heard her name being uttered from a toxic mouth, she finally snapped from her own little world and raised her gaze to see that the group she was admiring earlier have now arrived. Alas, this time, her eyes didn’t have the time to be in awe about Benjamin Shao’s presence as her gaze stuck to Stella Du’s contemptuous smile.

‘You… did you do something to my baby?’ Inside her mind, Lexi asked the unaware Stella Du.

Upon her brief contemplation to analyze what had happened, Lexi came to a conclusion; someone was sabotaging her last showcase!

Why did she come to only one conclusion? Because Nico Zhuang was trained by the Lu family. That means, as far as she knows, his profile including basic information, his health, diets, and all of the details of his very existence were all written down. Therefore, having allergies should have been detected to prevent some mishap in the middle of the mission due to allergic reactions.

Second, Lexi made a thorough research about combining each ingredient so to not have the ingredients conflict with each other. Furthermore, she made sure to add a little amount of strong ingredients and the rest were all mild additions. So, for Nico Zhuang to have a rapid reaction, someone must have had added something into it!

After all, if the case was that Nico Zhuang’s skin wasn’t compatible with the product, the result would have been shown after several uses. Alas, he only used it for a minute before rinsing it off which means a strong chemical was added into it. The question was, who was the culprit?

“Miss Yang?” Hearing someone calling her name for the nth time, Lexi blinked her eyes as she slowly moved her gaze away from Stella Du’s disdainful gaze.

“Mr. Shao, welcome to our booth. Please feel free to check out our products as something might interest you.” Subtly smiling, Lexi gestured her hand as it presents their variety of skincare display. She didn’t have time to curry favor or copy Stella Du’s antics as Lexi had too much to think about right now.

Benjamin Shao looked at the uninterested Lexi and the corners of his lips curled into a smirk. In his understanding, although Lexi sounded polite and professional, her words were also an indirect way of telling him, ‘stop blabbering and look for something that might interest you. If not, then bye’.

‘What an interesting woman.’ He thought inwardly as he nonchalantly shrugged his shoulders and headed to the booth’s display. Of course, the people following him also checked each product of theirs— even tried a few that obviously piqued their curiosity.

On the other hand, Stella Du’s hand secretly balled into a fist— digging her long nails into her palms, nearly making it bleed and breaking her nails. This wasn’t what she had planned.

Benjamin Shao shouldn’t even bat an eye to their product because first impression was important to the said man. That’s why each and everyone in their group spent tons of money and effort regarding their packaging as Stella Du was well-informed that Benjamin Shao would attend the showcase.

Hence, Stella Du came to check Lexi’s booth to see if it was grander than hers. Fortunately, Lexi’s group didn’t disappoint her as it was rather simple and plain.

‘Huh! Whatever Lexi Yang! Let’s see who has the last laugh when Mr. Shao tests your product!’ Upon recalling her back up scheme, Stella Du’s spirit lightened as the side of her lips curled from ear to ear.

Little did she know, Lexi was discreetly observing her and witnessed every change of her expression. ‘Stella Du…’ She muttered inwardly as an unreadable glint flashed across her eyes.

God knows how Lexi wanted to burst out and slap Stella Du right there and then. However, thanks to her experience in the past half a year, Lexi could at least manage her temper towards other people; Ethan Lu was an exception as he was her outlet.

“Beauty Doctor… is this yours Miss Yang?” Staring at the facial wash packaging, Benjamin Shao inquired that interrupted Lexi from her wild thoughts.

Lexi glanced at the spot where the packing and the product itself stood tall. Her heart began to pound as her mind was too preoccupied with her analysis that she forgot to withdraw her product from the stand.

“Yes…” Despite the growing anxiousness starting to creep inside her heart, Lexi tried hard enough to sound normal and thought of a way on how to stop him from testing her product without appearing weird and suspicious.

“Mhmm, I’ve figured.” Nodding in acknowledgment, Benjamin Shao nodded his head as he picked up the packaging to check its content.

“Mr. Shao, Miss Yang was very good at producing effective products and very creative! She had been experimenting to perfect her formulations! Even, I, from the Du family was amazed by her end products!” Chiming in, Stella Du praised Lexi to the heavens to intrigue the man’s curiosity and test the failed product.

“Really? Then, may I?” Raising his brows in interest, Benjamin Shao’s hand slowly reached to the product that made Lexi broke out in sweat with every passing millisecond. It was as if time itself slowed down as she watched his hand get closer and closer to the damn thing.

‘Lexi, think! Think! Think!’ She encouraged inwardly as her mind worked at great speed to come up with a plan to stop him, all the while watching as his hand got closer and closer…
