Lexi cautiously entered the establishment using the back door while holding on the resting dumpling on top of her phone. She made sure to walk like she was walking on thin ice, afraid that it might disturb the snoozing dumpling.

From the very beginning where Lexi met Churu and the occurrence after that, she realized that she had never seen Churu slept! Moreover, Churu was always hyper whatever emotion she showed — actually, all her emotions are heightened to the core that just watching her was already tiring. Understandable as Churu didn’t come from this world.

However, right now, Lexi couldn’t comprehend why the little dumpling got this exhausted just by working out? Is it that tiring to this extent? After all, Lexi might say that she’s quite tired burning her fats with Ethan’s guidance, but Churu doesn’t even perform another routine aside from their minutes of jogs.

“Sis… are you alright?” In a whisper, Lexi worriedly inquired.

If anyone sees her right now, they might think that Lexi lost it as she walks really slow with her palms laid together in front of her while her phone was on top of it.

“Chuu~” [yes] Churu murmured but her answer came out as a faint ‘chu’ indicating that she was very tired. This time, Churu could really feel more of Lexi’s tiredness transferring to her while Churu’s senses go to her.

Fortunately, that’s the only strange thing that happened between them as Churu doesn’t want Lexi to know what was currently happening between them. Furthermore, it’s still a good thing that Lexi was gaining more energy as she had an audition to join and being exhausted might lead her to fail.

“Sissy, I know you are tired but, I will have to put you down later… Don’t worry, I will find you a comfortable place alright?” Spouting her short notice, Lexi gently looked at Churu filled with worry.

If only Lexi could go to a specialist for Churu to get checked, she would. That’s the level of uneasiness she was feeling right now. For a moment, Lexi was wanted to forget about the audition for Churu to rest — whatever it takes whether facial mask session just for her to feel better.

Unbeknownst to Lexi, someone took notice of her and was watching her from the distant. His get-up was simple with a comfortable black t-shirt, classic relaxed fit jeans, and a pair of sneakers. By the looks of it, he seemed he was in his early 50’s.

As he watched Lexi cautiously walked while holding her phone with her palms laid together, whispering to it with a motherly looked, the man nodded in satisfaction. Though Lexi was ridiculously beautiful like a goddess that descended from the heavenly realm, what she was doing was too stupidly silly yet funny in her own way.

“I found my goddess.” He murmured before taking strides to Lexi’s direction. It didn’t take a while when he reached Lexi’s position. He called out,

“Excuse me! Wait!”

The abrupt call rang on the silent corridor made Lexi flinched a little before she looked around to the source of the voice. There, she saw no one aside from the man in his 50’s walking to her direction. Her eyes instantly lit up when she had a clear view of the man striding towards her.

‘Director Shen?!’

For a moment, Lexi nearly dropped her palms to fixed her posture alas, she was instantly reminded when she heard Churu murmured ‘chuu~’ once again. Hence, Lexi kept her strange stance.

“Are you perhaps auditioning for a certain role?” Without going in circles, Director Arnold Shen inquired.

“Good day, Director Shen. Yes.” Lexi bowed in respect as she answered. Her voice has a touch of awe as if a little girl finally meeting one of her idols. She could not hold back the excitement of being approached by one of the best directors in the country. However, Lexi felt burying herself on the ground as she could not believe that she’d face him while she was carrying Churu on her palms.

In other words, she was not presentable enough and he might think that she lost it after all the crisis she was undergoing.

“What role?” Satisfied with her humble attitude, Arnold Shen smiled with glee as he inquired to the role that she wanted to audition. Based on Lexi’s visual and her luxurious yet simple attire, he assumed that she was aiming for a higher role; perhaps the female lead or main antagonist.

“I am aiming for the role of Chang’e, Director Shen.” Mustering all the courage she could, Lexi ignored her odd stance as she responded for the role she must get.

Upon hearing her response, Arnold Shen’s eyes lit up. “What’s your name again?” Since he was slightly unaware of Lexi despite her instant fame due to his busy schedule shooting an international movie, he inquired.

“My last name is Yang, Lexi Yang.”

“Hmm, your name sounds familiar… well, whatever. Come with me Goddess Chang’e.” Arnold Shen momentarily pondered as he heard somewhat heard or saw her name somewhere but he shrugged it off as it wasn’t important to him at the moment.

Peering at Lexi that stood before him with all the specifications he required for the role, he nodded as Lexi really fits the role. Moreover, the role of Chang’e was one of the roles that hard to find the perfect fit.

Because, what he was looking for was not just a beauty but also, a person who was naturally silly in contrast to her smart beauty. Moreover, he had witnessed the auditionees for that role and others acted too cute to the extent of being cringy while others portrayed Chang’e as an airhead.

Hence, seeing Lexi while he was on a break, that very moment, Arnold Shen was beyond happy that finally, someone gave justice to the important role that he needed in his last movie.

“Huh?”

“Yes, Chang’e — you got the role.”
