The Rise of the White Lotus Chapter 93 – Dead dumpling

Hours had passed since they started working out. Slumping their backs on the lawn of the Yang Mansion, Lexi and Ethan gasped for air. On the other hand, Churu didn’t make it to them as she slumped at the corner — her body gave in and she really felt that she burned more fats than ever.

“I think… I’m now sexier chu” Churu muttered before resting her body on the moisted lawn. She doesn’t have the energy to fly to Lexi and Ethan because she was utterly exhausted.

“Ahh, I’m so tired…” In between her panting, Lexi murmured as she could feel her muscles contract as if they were beat.

“Aiya, that’s just for beginners.” Unlike his proud, confident words, Ethan Lu’s figure tells her otherwise. Though he regularly worked out before, however, Ethan Lu hadn’t been to the gym in months. Therefore, felt as if he was also a beginner.

“Gosh, how could you say that without batting an eye! You’re as tired as me!” Irked by his shamelessness, Lexi dissed as she turned her head on the side.

“Impossible!” Denying her accusations, Ethan also turned his head to her. Of course, the moment he did, Lexi’s sweating and slightly flushed face made him gulped.

Although there’s a considerable space between them, Ethan’s sneaky eyes travelled with the details of her facial features. As he did so in a flash pace, he could not help but bit his lower lip.

‘Damn it!’ He cursed inwardly being enthralled by her natural beauty.

Looking away, Ethan cleared his throat as he complimented. “But I have to admit though, you really did a good job keeping up.”

“I know right?” Lexi smirked, as she zipped down her jacket. She took it off and revealed a fitted black top.

“By the way, I was considering to audition for a movie.” Without even realizing it, Lexi blurted out the conversation she had with Abigail Fan that she even her parents were unaware about.

Her sudden initiation for a conversation made Ethan lu abruptly turned his head back on her. Alas, the moment he did, Ethan’s tranquility was disturned seeing more of her sweating skin.

It was bearable earlier since he could only see Lexi’s bewitching face, but now, with her slender neck that was asking to be kissed, her slim shoulder that urging him to caress, and her exposed collarbones that’s just too damn attractive, how could he keep himself sane?

Fortunately, Lexi covered her top using her jacket that snapped Ethan and stopped his ridiculous fantasy.

‘Why is she seducing me? No! Why am I being seduced with just that? Ahhh!! This is bad… really bad.’ Ethan gasped inwardly as he could not find the words he should say.

Gritting his teeth in annoyance, Ethan looked away afraid that if he stared longer, he’ll go mental. “If that makes you happy!”

“Hmm? Are you bipolar?” Lexi sassed as Ethan’s voice raised. She didn’t remember saying anything bad but why does he sounded like he was aggravated about something?

‘Did I offend him? Where’s my sis?’ Asking inwardly, Lexi inclined as she supported her upper body by her elbows and looks around. There, at the far corner of the garden, Churu was lying silently like a dead dumpling.

She had a glimpse of Churu’s bouncing flabby waist as she jog, not to mention how the adorable dumpling’s cheeks move up and down that helped Lexi to keep going.

“Pfft–!” Lexi could not suppress her laughter the moment she remembered Churu’s determined yet super cute figure earlier.

“Nah, I think you’re bipolar.” Hearing that Lexi let out a muffled ‘pfft’, Ethan Lu returned her not-so baseless accusations.

“Whatever, incompetent trainer.” Mocking his diversion, Lexi spoke insulted him up front as she retracted her gaze away from the dead dumpling.

“Nonsense! I can even do 20 push ups right now!” As usual, Ethan spouted words that he would regret later. Due to his distraction from Lexi’s tempting body that she complained about being fat, Ethan boasted.

“Really? Can you even prove that?” Entrapping him on his own brainless words, Lexi grinned evilly as she challenged the dumbfounded Ethan Lu.

Ethan: “Damn it!”

Unbeknownst to them, Frederick and Lillian Yang watched the two banter like two kids. A satisfied smile formed on the side of their lips as they witness how Lexi interacted with Ethan.

“Dear, if ever Ethan would like our Lexi… I don’t have any complains about it.” Lillian Yang gently uttered as she could not express her happiness into words.

It has been awhile since they saw their daughter be this genuinely comfortable and happy around someone. Moreover, Ethan as a person was too likeable. Despite being the heir of the prominent Lu family, he was rather humble.

“I don’t want to decide for our daughter in this matter anymore but if someday, both of them ended up together… I will gladly give them my blessing…” Frederick Yang mumbled with a worried expression on his face, he added,

“But, if I can, I wouldn’t want that to happen because one way or another, the Lu family would meddle with them. I don’t wish for our daughter or even Ethan to get hurt.”

Indeed, the Yang family couldn’t compare with the Lu family’s influence and wealth. Even if the Yang family was considered to be in the top social ladder, but the Lu family was one of the highest family, just like the Liu Family.

They only got lucky that the Liu and Yang family had a close ties ever since and they managed Lexi to get engaged to the Liu’s head master, Morris Liu.

“*sigh* Let’s not think about that yet, let the kids enjoy the moment. We still got their backs if worse comes to worst right?” As concerned as Frederick, Lillian was more positive regarding the matter.
