Lexi massaged her temples hearing Churu’s fun facts. Her, being the typical hateful character that sabotaged the Female and Male Lead’s happy romantic relationship and the root caused of their misunderstanding. While Ethan, on the other hand, was a comic relief! How can she absorb all these? Not to mention, a whole bunch of angels, demons, and gods are watching her ‘drama’?

“Are you feeling better now chu~? Did that make you forget what you need to forget, chu?” Sensing that Lexi’s tensed shoulder relaxed and her breathing stabilized, Churu assumed that her alleviation on diverting Lexi’s troubled thoughts about Morris Liu was effective.

“Better? No. But that did make me forget about Morris.” Lexi lightly scoffed as she laid her body, back against her soft and comfortable bed. She already guessed what Churu was trying to do but, it’s not that she didn’t appreciate the thought. It just that what Churu spoke off — lies or the real truth, she could not help but feel bothered with the idea of a whole divinity realm was watching her every step. That’s like worse than having a paparazzi that constantly followed a celebrity.

“Great, chu~!” Churu hailed as she clasped her hands together in glee. It was evident that she was satisfied with her ‘mission accomplished’. She added, “You shouldn’t bother yourself with that scumbag anymore and move one — for a happier life, right chu?”

Lexi sighed as she fixed her eyes on the meticulously designed ceiling. A momentary silence enveloped her room before she decided to break it, “You know Sissy, it’s not that I don’t want to move or be happier and have a peaceful life… It’s just that, I was labeled with many, too many names; white lotus b*tch, crazy fiance, the main antagonist, and bla bla bla from a bystander’s point of view. It’s not that I complain nor did I care about it, really. But…” Lexi paused as she let out a heavy sigh.

For some reason, the emotion and real thoughts she had bottled up since the very beginning until now slowly seeped out from her heart. Somehow, she felt that the ton load of those overthrow feelings that weigh her heart slowly lightened with someone beside her who was actually listening. She resumed after a beat,

“But, no one really, put their shoes in mine or looked at my point of view. All I believed in my life, the rights that I know I have, and the only man that I dedicated my heart… even if I say I accepted that I’m in the wrong but deep in my heart, I asked myself; am I entirely wrong? Is it not my right to fight for my love? Even if we say our engagement was an arranged marriage since childhood, but it’s still considered cheating right? I was mad, infuriated until now but, my feelings for Morris, they were the most genuine emotions I had; I couldn’t just forget those as fast as I wanted to. I wouldn’t blame Mia for my angst in the first place if I could just let bygone be bygones.” Lexi slightly shifted her head to see Churu patiently listening to her sentiments. Seeing the little dumpling’s attentiveness while her hand cupping her adorable cheeks while her tiny feet swung alternately, a subtle smile formed on the corner of Lexi’s lips.

“Don’t worry, I know in due time, I can confidently say that I moved on,” Lexi reassured the cute little dumpling that made Churu’s eyes gleamed, looking like a relieved and proud mom.

“Yes, chu~! You can confidently say you moved on with Mr. Initial task, chu~! Of course, I will be your children’s godmother, chu~!” Churu excitedly cheered with an ear to ear smile as if every word she uttered knew that it will come true. The light and gentle atmosphere surrounding Lexi’s room was instantly shattered when Churu spoke her unnecessary comments which made the side of Lexi’s temple twitched.

“Sissy, you really know how to kill the mood, huh?”

“Chu? I am, chu?” Churu slightly tilted her head on the side as if she didn’t realize that her honest foretelling was the inappropriate answer at the moment.

“I could move on with or without Ethan’s help — all I need is to make him fall in love with me but that doesn’t mean I should too, right? Also, why did Ethan’s name in this discussion again?” Rolling her eyes as she lightly shook her head, Lexi in a matter of factly tone.

“Err, because he texted you minutes ago chu? Show me chu, what did Mr. Initial task said?” From uninterested dumpling transformed into a giddy one as if Churu was up for all the gossip, she could decipher the other meaning from Ethan’s short message.

“You don’t have to little miss; Did you reach home? Safe and sound? — that’s what he said, nothing special.” Knowing Churu, Lexi saved herself from Churu’s peskiness, hence, she nonchalantly reported the messaged to the madame dumpling.

“Woaah! Brother Ethan! How was your vacation?” A dazzling man on an exquisite suit greeted Ethan Lu the moment he entered the party he was throwing. He excitedly threw his arms on Ethan’s shoulder indicating how close they were while his other hand held a glass of wine.

“It’s good that you’re back! Enjoy the night, man!”

“Of course Kev, I would!” Ethan Lu grinned brightly seeing how lively the party. He was itching to enjoy his night as it was his last night of freedom from work. Suddenly, a seductive woman that attracting all the men’s attention approached Ethan Lu and Kevin Woo. She wore a black bodycon short tight dress that showed her flawless back with her cross backless. All in all, she was like Ethan Lu’s typical exes.

“Nice party Kev.” She smiled brightly at Kevin Woo then glanced at Ethan Lu.

“Woah, Lisa! This is my party buddy, Ethan Lu. Ethan, this is Lisa Jing.” Kevin Woo introduced Ethan to his gorgeous guest. He slyly elbowed Ethan as if saying it was another addition of girls to Ethan’s long list of exes.
