The Rise of the White Lotus Chapter 49 – Meeting with the parents

“Innocent, what?” Lexi frowned hearing the literal meaning of the game. Though parts of her were relieved, alas, she doesn’t consider herself as innocent.

Churu tilted her head and stared at her with a harmless yet honest look, “Aren’t you a virgin, chu~?”

Lexi’s face went all beet red hearing the word ‘virgin’. It’s not that she was totally ashamed of it because it’s her pride to preserve her chastity only for Morris Liu on their wedding night, however, it was still embarrassing to hear those words coming out from the cute little dumpling. Moreover, Churu blurted it out like she was just asking her if she had eaten candy or not.

“Oh ho, don’t be shy chu~” Churu teased with a sly grin on her cute adorable face.

“Churu!” Lexi splashed bits of water to Churu as she hushed her and her teasing smile. Alas, Churu did get wet from all over her face which stunned both of them. Just then, a notification once again showed out of thin air,

Both Lexi and Churu blinked numerous times with a blank expression on their faces. After some time when the notification vanished, both of their expressions brightened up as they subconsciously turned their heads to each other.

“Chuuu!!!” Churu flew and hugged Lexi’s cheeks in jubilation. Feeling the little dumpling, Lexi could not help but warmed up.

“You’re so fluffy, Sissy!” She rubbed Churu’s back by the back of her index finger. Indeed, though they had spent many days together, alas, aside from the facial mask that Lexi put on Churu, she never touched or felt Churu’s body. It’s like the little dumpling was only a wandering spirit.

Shortly after, Churu flew back and demanded with an ear to ear smile, “Quick, bath me chu~!”

Seeing how giddy the cute little one, Lexi felt the excitement and good vibes Churu was sending hence, she nodded in agreement.

“Yes, yes, Madam.”

The night continued as Lexi pampered Churu until she nearly melts from relaxation. They also did their usual facial session before until late at night.

The next morning…

Lexi woke up feeling light and blooming as she had a good night’s sleep. Seeing that Churu on her side who had a facial mask on her face early in the morning, Lexi giggled.

“Morning pretty~” She lightly poked Churu and was satisfied on the soft solid texture lying beside her.

“Am I really pretty, chu? Did I became much prettier after I leveled up, chu?” Churu sought for a compliment as she rolled to face Lexi.

Lexi smiled before she slightly nodded which brightened Churu’s mood to another level.

“I knew it, chu~!” Churu cheered repeatedly and flew in the air while spinning with her arms wide open. Lexi on the other hand also stood and stretched her body.

She had done her usual morning ritual before she headed downstairs for breakfast. Churu who turned to a sparkling dumpling followed her as usual.

However, even before Lexi could reach the dining area, she could hear her parent’s loud laughter. Not only she was surprised by the light atmosphere surrounding the whole Yang mansion, but Lexi was also shocked silly hearing Ethan’s voice coming from the said part of the residence.

Lexi fastened her pace and to her surprise, her parents together with Ethan were happily having breakfast.

“Oh dear, you’re awake?” Mother Yang gently called out which made her father and Ethan turned their attention to her direction.

She blinked her eyes countless times thinking that her eyes were deceiving her. Alas, Ethan was really having breakfast with her parents! What’s more? They seemed like they were enjoying each other’s company!

“Kyaaa~! Mr. Initial task meeting with the parents, chu~!” Churu instantly fangirled witnessing the scene on the dining area.

“Uh… shouldn’t you be resting?” Lexi asked and started taking cautious strides to her mother’s side.

“Oh my dearest, that’s what we told Ethan but he insisted to accompany us to breakfast.” Mother Yang responded with a satisfied smile.

‘Ethan?! When did they start addressing in the first name basis?!’ The corner of Lexi’s lips twitched. Though Ethan Lu was younger, alas, there is a certain line in addressing people especially those who don’t have close ties. Hence, why do her parents seemed comfortable with him if they only met him last night?

Lexi shifted her obvious suspicious gaze on her father yet, Frederick Yang also had a peaceful aura around him. He spoke,

“You didn’t tell us that the friend you mentioned was Ethan.”

“Friend?” Lexi repeated in confusion. Recalling her discussions with her parents, Lexi remembered that she once mentioned that she only has one friend but she never disclosed who it was. God knows she was referring to Churu but sadly, not her parents, hence, it led to this kind of misunderstanding.

“Eh? She even called me big brother, Auntie.” Ethan winked at her with a sly smile on his thin red lips. Unlike last night when he was pale and seemed he was dying, Ethan was now full of vitality and back to his usual self.

‘Auntie?!’ Lexi scoffed and was rendered speechless hearing him call her mother like he has known her since childhood. Lexi wobbled on her seat as she was mind-boggled by Ethan’s charm. He even managed to bewitched her parents!

“Dear, I’m so sorry about last night… we should have listened to you until the end. If it wasn’t for Ethan, we won’t know what really happened last night.” Mother Yang sounded dejected as she apologized to her. Lexi who was lost like a little child darted her gaze to her mother, and to her father, who also had a disheartened expression.
