Seeing that Lexi was doing great interacting and successfully blending in with these business tycoons, Ethan Lu can’t help but admire the capable Lexi Yang. Again, questions like what gone wrong to waste her talent by lowering herself by chasing his friend Morris Liu? Sure, Morris Liu is a top-notch in every aspect, alas, upon his observation with Lexi’s character, he just couldn’t understand it. Does love really make people act in the dumbest way? After all, he never experienced that even though he hook up with many pretty young misses all the time.

Conflicted how to approach Lexi Yang that was doing great with just herself, Ethan Lu idled for some time until someone recognized him and approached him.

“Young Master Lu! What a pleasure seeing you here as well!” A decent man in his mid 40’s greeted together with 3 more businessmen. Ethan Lu smiled courtly as he bowed his head in respect to his elders.

“CEO Fu, it’s my pleasure.” Ethan Lu responded bearing his usual business smile. Taking a quick glance to Lexi’s direction, Ethan Lu decided to let her shine tonight despite standing out since earlier. After all, he can always approach her later and probably tease her a little.

Hearing the notification sound coming from the system, Lexi unconsciously looked up to see her gains.

‘huh?’ baffled about the points she gained from Ethan Lu, Lexi looked around to find Ethan Lu not far away from her conversing with other respectable businessmen. For some reason, Ethan Lu looked in her direction and met her curious gaze.

When he saw her looking at him, a subtle smirk formed on the corner of his lips which was made her brows twitch. Given that his smirk with that red thin yet alluring lips of his, Lexi felt unsettled by that teasing smile. ‘Gosh, now I know why girls were fawning around him… that smile.’ she mumbled subconsciously.

She must admit that Ethan Lu’s profile was impeccable, not any bad as Morris Liu. He had wealth, good family status, and an oh-so bewitching look and physique. It’s not surprising that he was a little or rather, too popular with the elite young misses. The only catch is that he had a bad reputation as a casanova which irked her in many ways.

If not only with the cursed system she gained, she won’t even bother to associate herself with the playboy Ethan Lu. After all, she can move on without it… or can she? ‘*sigh* where is that dumpling when I needed her?’

Retracting her gazed away from Ethan Lu like she was unaffected, for some reason, he caught a small little dumpling figure on the corner across her. Apparently, Churu was just staring at something that Lexi couldn’t guess what or who it was because of the pillar blocking it. But seeing that Churu was just heedlessly staring with her eyes shining, beating the blinding gleam of the chandelier, Lexi’s brows knitted. ‘What is it this time?’

The last time she saw the little dumpling like this is when she saw Wren Tanaka. Trying her luck, Lexi attempted to speak with Churu telepathically. ‘Sissy? Can you hear me?’ Since Lexi was uncertain if she can reach Churu from that distant, she still tried to. To her surprise, Churu’s bewildered voice rang through her head.

“How majestic… chu?”

‘Majestic?’

“I want to… marry him, chu~”

Hearing another fantasy of the little dumpling, Lexi felt her head ache in a new degree. She shouldn’t let this dumpling on a loose as she will want to marry gorgeous men whenever she sees one.

‘Sissy, did you know I gained allure points just now?’ If only Lexi wasn’t around these dignified businessmen, she’ll roll her eyes but to avoid misunderstanding, she smiled with them; pretending that she was listening.

“Wh—” after absorbing Lexi’s words for a second, Churu snapped from her reverie and almost squeal akin to an interrupted demonic screeching. Before Churu could finish her sentence, she suddenly appeared in front of Lexi, which almost caused Lexi to have a heart attack.

“WHAT, chu?!”

The laughing businessmen surrounding Lexi subconsciously turned their head to Lexi as she suddenly jolted for some reason. Ignoring the urgency of the little bun in front of her, Lexi glanced at the questioning gaze of the circle of men. Seeing their baffled expression, she awkwardly smiled — not knowing how to make up an excuse.

“Haha! I didn’t know Miss Yang can be affected with thrilling stories.” CEO Tang laughed. Currently, he was tattling about his adventure in hunting and his so-called life-threatening experienced. Hence, he was glad that Lexi was intently listening to his story and finally acknowledge the existence of the young miss of the Yang family.

‘Good grief…’ Lexi calmed her heart inwardly. Fortunately, though she wasn’t listening to the story of the business tycoon CEO Tang, her luck wasn’t leaving her yet and saved her some face.

‘Sissy!’

“Sorry, chu~! I was just excited about your news, chu~!” Churu had her eyes downcast knowing her misconduct. She almost ruined Lexi’s plan by her heedless action. Seeing that Churu was reflecting with such cuteness, how can Lexi stay mad at her?

‘This is unfair.’ referring that she was immediately defeated by Churu’s undeniable power of charm.

Soon, every distinguished guest was invited to a private dining hall so they all had their proper high-class party which evidently pleased all the guest. As Lexi made her way on the specific dining hall, a gentle tap made her turned her head.

The moment she turns her head, a finger poked her blemish-free cheeks. She frowned by the childish prank as she raised her gaze to see the smiling in triumph Ethan Lu.

“Got you.” He uttered with a smug grin on his face.
