Two days had passed and it was the night of the Yue family banquet. Looking at her well-fitted custom dress, Lexi smiled in satisfaction. She was wearing a limited edition luxury dress that was screaming sophistication and class.

It wrapped around her petite albeit curvy body showcasing every angle of her perfect vital sized. Yet, it still didn’t reveal much of her skin aside from the one slit that reached the half of her legs as if its teasing and hiding the goods inside the exquisite dress.

Overall, with her curled hair draped on her shoulder to her back while the other side was tugged behind her ear, showing her simple yet expensive and eye-catching earrings. Lexi didn’t forget to wear simple but elegant accessories that complimented her whole attire — making her look smart and superior.

Knowing the basics of every socialite gatherings, Lexi was absolute that most of the female attendees will try their hardest to stand-out by wearing expensive yet blinding accessories and uniformed gowns. Truth be told, she was once like that in her younger years — following the trend.

Hence, knowing the difference, Lexi was certain that even if she doesn’t try that much, her vibe and style will still give a different aura to her main targets.

“You look supeeeer gorgeous, chu!” Churu’s eyes shone brighter than the moon at the night peering at Lexi’s attire. Surely, Lexi never fails to amazed the little dumpling with her well-thought-out attire.

Glancing at the glittering bun, Lexi slightly frowned feeling a little sorry for her. She sighed, “Can’t you do what normal fairies do? Like chant magic and put a gown on you as well?” Though she sounded silly, god knows how much Lexi wanted to pamper the little dumpling.

Regardless of the sullen mood of Lexi, Churu still kept her lively aura. “It’s fine, chu~! Once I evolve, maybe I can also dress up, chu~!” Thinking of positive thoughts, for Churu, it’s the thought of Lexi that counts. After all, only Lexi can see and hear her so, even if she dressed up or not, no one will really be impressed by her.

“Alright…” Lexi sighed meekly before fetching her luxury purse and prepared to go on the ‘battlefield’.

When Lexi arrived at the said venue, she was mildly surprised about the innumerable number of attendees. Not only some business tycoons are present, it seems that even the employees of the Yue International Enterprise were invited as well.

Normally, with this kind of socialite event, only the important ones were given the opportunity to attend such event. However, by the number of the seemingly crowded place in the grandiose function hall, Lexi could guess even without exerting much effort that the majority of the guests were employees.

Since she came on time, the event wasn’t yet starting but she already spotted a few familiar faces; the multimedia queen Marga Yue, the rookie of the year Nadine and other familiar faces like Che Diayu, one of the influential business personality CEO Tang, and so much more.

Despite seeing more familiar faces than she expected, Lexi kept her chin high — whether the scandal about her was to be taken notice or not, she must keep her strong front. By the time she arrived at her designated seat, Nadine, a beautiful young lady that was recently taking the spotlight in the entertainment industry courteously bowed her head and greeted her.

“Hello, Senior Yang.” Nadine’s humble image is what she was known to be which made Lexi’s brows arched in vigilance. She was a little hostile towards the junior artist as she can’t believe the image she portray in the public. Regardless, since Lexi was up to any pretense, she smiled back.

“Glad seeing you here too.” Lexi responded. However, she was slightly surprised when Nadine’s eyes sparkled after Lexi greeted her back; as if her idol finally acknowledge her existence.

“Hehe, I didn’t know many people here. I’m glad senior Yang attended as well. Also, we were paired with the same table.” Nadine as gentle and humble as she can be continued the seemingly dead conversation. Since Wren Tanaka wasn’t around, Lexi civilly conversed with Nadine, gradually lowering her guard.

By the next moment, both Lexi and Nadine’s attention were caught by a sudden commotion not far away from them. Seeing what it was, Che Diayu was causing a scene that diverted everyone’s nearby to her.
