The event will be held in a few days hence, Lexi was akin to a girl scout as she prepared all necessary thing she must need. Aside from elegant dress and expensive accessories, Lexi prioritized information she can gather of the distinguished guest of the said event.

Surely, Wren Tanaka had a very close relationship to the newly appointed chairwoman of the Yue International Enterprise for him to exert great effort to widen a small company connection.

Hence, Lexi familiarized herself to the hobby and basic operation of every business personality attending so that she won’t be left behind and could get along with the same interest with them despite their age gap. Of course, this always happens in the upper-class family; to build connection, they must have a strong good impression — that is what Lexi wants.

After all, her real agenda was to broaden their connection and make Wren say his yes to an arrangement with Morris Liu.

Currently, Lexi was still reading information about a certain business tycoon named Mr. Tang. Massaging her stiff shoulders, she exclaimed. “What am I doing all these years?”

“Huh? Why, chu?” Churu flew on her shoulder and started jumping on it as if to help her massage it. Alas, to no avail, she weights nothing despite her cute dumpling size.

“Nothing. It’s just this Mr. Tang seems hard to analyze.”

“How about Wren, chu? What is his hobby?” Churu who was obviously much incline to know more about Wren made Lexi roll her eyes. Still, since it meant no harm to say a few things she learned about Wren’s hobby, why would she be too stingy to keep the adorable dumpling in the dark.

“Well, he likes traveling and he had good eyes on investment so wherever he is, it is said that he will either buy land or establish a business,” Lexi informed the sparkling dumpling hearing Wren’s activities. Surprisingly, this information about Wren circling in the business world were all laid in public. Probably one of the reasons why everyone was trying to impress him especially those company that was in a tight budget and needs an investor because Wren can salvage a dying company like a god.

“Wow, chu~! He really has good eyes, chu!” Churu giddily exclaimed which made Lexi’s brows arched — anticipating for more response from Churu.

“huh?”

“He saw your potential, chu~! He was interested in the Yang family that is why he invited you to that event, chu~!” Churu explained.

For a moment, Lexi thinks about it again. Indeed, in her observation, Wren Tanaka seemed to like prospect business partners and where can he make a win-win result… why would he suddenly offer her to broaden her connection? What for?

Since she was too busy and excited about the fact that she made huge progress on escaping Morris chains — Lexi didn’t put much thought about it. But now that Churu mentions it, it actually made sense.

“I see… So, did I or did I not made a good impression on him?”

“That’s an odd question chu!” Churu tilts her head yet her fluttering aura was still beaming with high spirit.

“I am just curious, Sissy. I can’t help it.” Lexi nonchalantly shrugs her shoulder.

After her break, Lexi went back on familiarizing herself on some sports that don’t interest her yet, to the sole purpose of having a good impression to the walking banks that she was about to befriend; she persevered.

Lexi didn’t notice the time as she was too immersed in studying important parts of another huge company’s operations and history until her phone vibrated. Slightly flinching by the sound, Lexi turns her gaze on the lit-up phone and saw it was already six in the evening.

However, the next moment, Lexi’s attention was caught on the message displayed on her screen; it was Ethan Lu.

“Huh? What does he need?”

“Oh, oh, oh, is it Mr. Initial Task?”
